pls oo ,I just check my results now bt is showing no data at all of which I still saw the results last week. Do any one observe this

pls need your help, my money just reflected on my portal, i've been running a pgd prog since 2014, i saw a column which says "semester count" pls what am i to do. how many semester am i to type there. plssss

it seems the essence of the semester count is to know the amount to deduct for compulsory fee for the semester. As a new student, One (1) would be their semst count and 40k Wu b deducted. but as for ur own case, as a returning student, 18k Wu be deducted so I think u shu write 3 as ur semester count.

1, course/exams has started and will continue till June , no closing date yet for course/exam
2, NOUN now has 2 website (a) nouonline.net ( b) nouedu.net. one for course and exam registration while the other is for course materials, checking of result and communication with school management.
3, Exam to start June
4, New semester start 2 weeks after exam
5, Tma will be out next week.
6, lapses in result: the final result will soon be released as the previous one was to test run the system
7, New E-learning site will soon be out and student will have the opportunity to receive facilitation from the School's lecturers via net or Skype
8, For those who can't see their name in the potal or whose payment has not reflected ,they should come to school with prof of payment so there can register manually
9, About the last exam, there is no addition of any mark , it is calculated base on exam but the school make sure no student failed any course
10, About the new portal, u must print yr course/exam immediately after registration. More to come
How to register your carryover or pending courses, you are to register yr semester as 200L after registering that, you move over and re-register yr semester as 300L and register yr new course
12, those whose portal is showing incorrect password shld come to the center
13, those who have not summited their file should do so
14, students that got admission in 2014 and 2015 should bring their letter of admission and their waec result to the school for some update. As soon as possible
15, Every center has been asked to have a site where they will communicate with students
16, Garki center now has a Facebook account, (NOUN SPECIAL STUDY CENTER NURTW GARKI II ABUJA)
this sight is highly restricted for students and student matters, a very big warning was given to all students because if anyone who post anything other than academic things will be heavily penalized, pls if you knw you won't abide by this rules don't join to avoid affecting yr graduation. However it will students to get authentic information from the management of the school and also to help to solve some problems (as u don't to come to center to drop a course, you can simply send massage there and it will be solve.
17, those from other center can join the group in other to get information but will go to their center should they have any issue.

Guys i try to register on the site as a returning student nd it took a thousand minute to load. But the respond is that.......... Name not on the program list see admin officer.

This issues of website upgrading is a terrible situation in NOUN, i think the management should try as much as possible to get competent hands to handle this situation. Money pay to remita and which has been received by remita through banks failed to upload to students portal, some pay 18,000 into bank met 180,000 in their portal while those who pay 45- 65k are unable to get the money in their portal, this is a terrible situation i have never witness in the history of NOUN. I think it is high time those in charge should give chance to a more competent hands to handle the situation. I am using this opportunity to advice the VC to employ more computer programmer or send the IT experts to more training that can cope with the situation on ground. the present website design for NOUN students is below the standard that can cope with the present set of students. the website lack many functionalities. precisely, no add and drop course, money failed to upload both manually and automatically, printing from web is not functionally as it should be particularly the tma, you can not open tma in new tab, the website uploading is very slow, the fact that only google chrome can averagely open the website is 35% failure, a good and well design website should be friendly with all browser. what type of expert design this website, i suspect it should be one of those professor in the university or one of the half baked graduate that has forged their way through academic programme and i am sure such person is not a product of NOUN, i hereby condemned the website in totality, i am an average computer programmer i can designed a web that is 80% better than what is operating at present, it is a good development to build and upgrade NOUN website but a more competent hand should be employed to handle the situation, as at now the website is showing access denied while exam is coming up this month or next month. You think students can pass in this type of situation, no lecturer, no materials, no functioning website, no material to download from web, i think NOUN is seriously sick.

guy ,am realy touch with ur write up. Truely i think the institution need urgent attention frm d so called management, or what can one say abt MASS failure cause by d closure of the sch website which lead to students inability to do TMA last semest.? This is ridiculous

I generated remita worth 65k today thinking I will be charged 40k for compulsory fees then the rest for my course and exam reg. But to my utmost surprise I was only charged 18k for compulsory fees. My e wallet still plenty lol
My question is I thought I will be charged for library, Id card etc and it will amount to 40k .or am I missing some payments? Will I still be charged more later?

MEANING OF SEMESTER COUNT

Semester Count is the number of semesters you have spent in NOUN including your current semester. For example, if you are in 100Level second semester, it means you have spent two semesters in NOUN. Therefore, your semester count is two.

You will be asked your semester count when registering on the portal.

If you are in 300L first semester, your semester count is 5.

Below is the meticulous breakdown.

100L first semester, semester count = 1
100L second semester =2
200L first semester =3
200L second semester = 4
300L first semester = 5
300L second semester = 6
400L first semester = 7
400L second semester = 8

What about the post graduate students dat hav done 1 nd 2nd semes........the question is . is there 3rd semest for PG

Tma questions are not the same thing, it's done exactly the way exam is being set, where Mr tunde question 1 is Mrs Lawal question 20. Even if you login now and relogin back the question 1 u see before will now be in question 5 or 6.
