Its good that you pointed out all these as UCL and even Europa takes place during the weeks. The cinemas make the huge money during the weekend so it aint an issue. Also, people go to cinemas during the day time too, not only at night. You forget that we have students and undergraduates who will want to impress their girlfriends

I highly disagree with this. Lord of the rings had similar 3hours run time thrice and it made massive money back then, so this will not stop people from watching the movie

Lord of the Rings trilogy would have made more save for the time bro... And they were low budget movies.

You cant compare endgame with the likes of shazam and detective Pikachu....They are good movies, dont get me wrong but they cant battle with endgame IMO.

Europe, Africa and South America love football. I don't imagine a Barça, Man Utd, Liverpool, Juventus, etc fan going to watch a movie at the Cinema when their team is playing the UCL.
Infact in Nigeria here, i don't imagine a nigga coming back from work and going to the cinema to watch a movie when Champions League is on, unless he is not a football lover... And they are in the minimum.

Well, from what i pointed out, it isnt going to face much competition...I might be wrong though.
However, it will make very huge money in the first 2 weeks...It first weekend BO will be massive.

This is not to say it will not make huge money at the box office.
But if you want, when Endgame is released, take a look at the Box Office numbers when Pokemon will be released, GOT airs and any UCL night including the next day!

Personal update:

1. My personal BO prediction for shazam film is $600-$750m (remember this is a low budget movie and endgame is pretty close)

2. Tickets for endgame to be sold on 3rd of April ( about 2 days to the official release of Shazam film in the US)

3. Positive reactions towards Shazam movie in China, however, don't expect much as Marvel has now secured an official release of endgame in China on 24th of April.

4. Shazam still maintains high positive reviews on rotten tomatoes and metacritic website.



Overall conclusion is that Marvel doesn't want Shazam to outshine CM thereby using endgame to cripple it

Marvel should be more concerned about Endgame than crippling Shazam... Shazam is a banker already, same as Endgame, but Shazam will not be constrained by the things Endgame will battle with, viz:
1) A 3hrs+ movie means less time and less showing at the cinema's.
2) Endgame will be battling it with Shazam, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu... They both have less screen time and are Box Office sure bankers. So, Endgame will not be the only Big budget movie around.
3) Game of Thrones is returning.
4) Champions League is returning!

P:S - This is not to say Endgame will not make a lot of money at the box office, but this is what it is going to face!!!
