TheKingIsHere: You forget that WB also own top gaming franchises such as mortal kombat and mortal kombat x, injustice 1& 2, etc which are available on PS consoles, Android and iphones devices.
They also partner with Netflix to turn top Japanese animes into movies. E.g Bleach, full metal achelmist, etc but I don't think they are taking the partnership seriously. Sometimes I wonder if the management of WB actually know what they are doing. They have a lot at their disposal to be far bigger than Disney but here they are still lagging behind.
Disney of recent finally gave Netflix rights to air avengers and have also partnered with Hulu for streaming services partnership.
Make WB dey look like mumu. I don't even know why they should be partnering with Netflix... TimeWarner and by extension, AT&T owns HBO. Like, why won't they just give HBO some of their comics to produce? Imagine if HBO made TV shows like TITANS, GOTHAM, ARROW and THE FLASH...Damn! Anyway, I'm patiently waiting for the LORD OF THE RINGS SPINOFF from HBO and the almighty GAME OF THRONES!!! |

But when Disney decided not to release star wars or push their major movies to December No thank you. At least they should appreciate Disney for not releasing star wars December 2018. Like the last one did so good abi?

TheKingIsHere: Yes they have, AT&T have taking over maybe that's why Aquaman was a huge success because the WB I know before no get sense on how to promote their movies and products.
I just pray AT&T can flush out all those incompetent losers holding management positions and give it to people who are more strategic and dynamic I do know a lot of reshuffling happened!!! |

Minemrys: WB? I give up on those guys. I realized early on its management don't know how to utilize their properties. But they are good at acquiring intellectual properties e.g HP, LOTR and having the foresight early on to buy DC comics and Fawcett comics. But the problem is after they acquire them, they treat the properties with little seriousness. I thought they have rearranged and restructured management after the acquisition by AT&T? |

Ten thousand may be small but, to a woman selling ugwu leaves, pepper, onions, egusi, oporoko, dried fish, and as we call it in Lagos here. gbanjo and other hustle business, it's a lot of money. Let senators and other governors join this laudable project. People are not smiling, the era of settling few friends and cronies are long gone. TheKingIsHere: Disney spent over $180m to market Avengers; Age of Ultron movie as shown in the first screenshot. Thats why the total budget(including marketing) spent on this movie was $495.2 million.
Now, guess how much was spent on marketing infinity wars that disney was too shy to include the marketing cost into the total budget? The total budget (excluding marketing) for Avengers: Infinity War cost $321.2 million. If the budget for marketing was added to it, the total production budget will be over $550m (est). In fact, from what i could dig up from wikipedia about infinity wars, the money spent on media marketing alone was over $150m, the largest for any Marvel film. Take note, this is excluding all other media options that was done for the infinity wars film. You dey mind them ni! All Marvel Pre-merger (with Disney) movies were flops!!! |

but according to one professor here, DC don't do heavy campaign on their movies
Most of them here are clueless casuals, DC campaigned for wonder woman using super girl and spent 3 million dollars on TV ads alone #Delusional
Disney out-spends all... Really, this is not even up for argument!!! If Disney spent $140m to market Spiderman : Homecoming, then use your head and know what the marketing costs for all Avengers movies and Civil War will be.

Just imagine some people trying to state how a company like Warner Bros should do business, or belittle the achievements of Disney studio.. People who aren't even qualified to tell a small indie production company what to do.. The other one is criticizing them for atleast trying to portray a culture different from theirs. It's all for talks bro... No big deal!!! |

But the guys here feel internet articles are the prerequisite of being a critique, people who can't even produce a five minute short film. Trust me, you'd stop all this nitpicking if you're asked to take a lap in a tiny pool of filmmaking.. Same thing could be said of Hollywood critics bro!!! |

TonySpike: That movie tried so much to imitate the African culture as a whole but failed so much at doing it. The costumes were ugly, yes, I will say that again as a proud black man. Crucify me if you want. The movie was just a wannabe "cash grab" to falsely project Africa in Hollywood. I use to mock the costume, but then the millennial looking ones in Thor movies comes to mind... And Asgard is supposed to be far more advanced than Earth. The best costumes are for the heroes i guess!!! |
