Ofunaofu:Peter Obi should have had a plan B other than relying solely on a corrupt Judiciary. The igbo elites kept quiet when their son was being cheated and they failed to put pressure on the judiciary to do the right thing. Now, on wednesday, their son will be cheated grand style in front of the whole country. Igbos are a majority tribe but successive years of oppression have reduced them to a minority tribe. Peter Obi won that election and Tinubu violated the very essence of the Constitution by vying for the presidency. The man is a political genius but he is a criminal and should not be allowed to remain President. |
Peter Obi and Igbo elites caused this for themselves and they are about to be shut out of power for another generation. Peter Obi should never have believed in the judiciary and igbo elites should have been more vocal against the injustice but they kept quiet. Wednesday is here and Nigerians will move on with their lives. |
Peter Obi caused the wahala for himself by believing in a corrupt Judiciary and by not going into alliance with the elites and militia force of his own tribe. The man is too soft so he was cheated. Its painful but life goes on. |
franchasofficia:It is humbling that you have accepted your fate. We dont want to hear any noise about igbo marginalisation and Presidency tomorrow oo. And please help us preach peace to the Obidients online, especially on twitter. We need peace. |
opamoses1:It is well. I just want the country to move ahead. The election did a lot of damage of Obidients. I still have PTSD from the massive work we former Obidients had to do to have that momentum. A lot of work was also done by the Nigerian church. All that work is now gone to waste. It is well. |
leanonme82:Dont mind that guy. His own tribalism is strong and blind. So because i am yoruba, i should not say my mind abi? When MKO was cheated, i know what we Yorubas did. Even Asiwaju became a NADECO foot soldier and we fought the Hausas, Babangida and Abacha to a standstill. Soyinka, Pa Abraham Adesanya, General Akinrinade, Tinubu and many other yoruba elders made Nigeria ungovernable for the military junta. The North had no choice but to compensate Yorubas by relinquishing power to Obasanjo. If the igbos choose to lie down low, that is their choice. Yorubas will use their slot and they might never have the opportunity again. So to respond to that guy's attempt to obfuscate the facts, the Yorubas did a lot when Abiola was cheated by the military. |
allthingsgood:I mean Obidients as presently constituted. Many non-Igbo Obidients have moved on with their lives. The main force of the Obidient movement are now staunch Igbo youths. |
tribalmall:I understand your vituperations. I have been accused of being igbo severally but i dont care. The reason why i think they should revolt is that if they miss it now, they have missed it forever. It took them almost 50 years to get Nigerians to queue behind Peter Obi like Nigerians did. If the judgment goes against them in September, i feel that is the end for them. No non-Igbo will go through the stress we went for Peter Obi again. Even Peter Obi knows that the strength of the movement has waned compared to when it was optimal earlier this year. Furthermore, the Nigerian in me knows that Peter Obi won that election because of the massive failure of APC under Buhari. No amount of tribalism can make me deny my conviction that for once, Peter Obi had the massive and organic following and votes of Nigerians. He should have built alliances with the strong men in his region and the elites to ensure he is not cheated. I am angry with him and his tribe because it seems they have accepted defeat without even trying to resist the injustice. I am a yoruba man and i repeat that Asiwaju did not win that election seh. Buhari, Mahmoud and the North just did not have any other choice but to give the Presidency to Asiwaju. I will hold on to that belief until the day of my death. As for the igbos, if they choose to rely on a corrupt judiciary and accept thus lying down low, then that is their cup of tea. Otilor niyen. They might never be President ever again. So you can swear for me and say i am a bastard but i wont deny my convictions to fit within your tribal lenses or coccoon. |
mrvitalis:SMH.... You go dey alright |
leanonme82:This is very correct. No Igbo man can have the momentum Peter Obi had in yorubaland. Now Obidients (now constituted of staunch IPOB nationalists, which is not a bad thing) have destroyed that with their insults and pride. We liberal Yorubas have returned to our normal lives but Igbo Obidients are still running mad on social media. |
Afamed:it is well. I am just waiting for what the remnant of the Obidient movement will do when the judgment does not favor them. I have been waiting for 2 years now for them to take action offline but they remain largely confined to Twitter. We all laboured in vain as prophesied by Asiwaju Tinubu. |
opamoses1:My brother, i understand you jaree. Now when i go on twitter, i see them retweeting and liking their own lies. The fact is that the remnant of that movement now consists of mainly igbo, IPOB nationalists who are showing their true hatred for the rest of the country. I really dont blame them and i understand their angst. They are being told that an Igbo man cannot be President of Nigeria to their face. They have justifiable anger. But my grouse with them and Peter Obi is that they surprisingly have faith in the Nigerian judicial system to deliver justice. I dont know why they feel the Courts can save Peter Obi. I think civil disobedience by the Easterners is a more viable path to the attainment of justice. It is sure that they will meet disappointment from the Courts and i cannot wait for their melt down after the petition is dismissed. As for their toxicity during the electioneering period, it was exhilarating then because the movement then had the force of Nigerian youths and the Nigerian Church so i really did not care. I just wanted APC gone. Now that my eyes are clear, i just sit back and enjoy their madness and delusions on twitter. I look forward to the judgment of the Court of Appeal which i know is the most important decsion. Once the petition is dismissed, the Supreme Court will just affirm the decision of the Court below. |
opamoses1:The Obidient movement pull is strong but most non-Igbos have left. What really swelled the Obidient movement was Christian resentment and grievance against the Muslim/Muslim ticket. It is not that Peter Obi is that magnificent. Peter Obi is just as dim witted as the average Igbis trader in Ochanja market. As a Christian, I still feel the Muslim/Muslim Ticket is wrong. Asiwaju and APC are very lucky that Nnamdi Kanu is in detention. If not, Nigeria will have been upside down by now. Peter Obi is a dull idealist who cannot make things happen by gathering a coalition of strong men to scatter Nigeria. He had the momentum but he scuttled it. To wrest power from APC, blood must be shed. There is no doubt about that. APC was just lucky that Peter Obi and Igbos are presently at their weakest state ever perhaps next to when they lost the civil war. As for your analysis on PDP, you are partly correct. But even with the division in PDP, INEC still had to rig heavily for Asiwaju to win the election. |
Ofunaofu:Atiku was a victim of his own ambition. He betrayed Nyesom Wike who had spent Rivers State wealth to sustain PDP. Further, Atiku could not convince Peter Obi to stay in the PDP. Over all, it would have been morally reprehensible for a Northerner to succeed another Northerner in a weak and divided country like Nigeria. Maybe Atiku was just not destined to be President. |
Ngozi123:I dont care. All gloves are off. You guys deserve to be expelled. Una wahala too much. |
opamoses1:Yes oooo, i supported and contributed my hard earned money to Peter Obi's campaign. I even fought with my friends and fellow yorubas from my university days. I cant forget how i cursed my Ex who is an RCCG SU that she is a disgrace to Christianity for voting a Muslim/Muslim ticket. Because of that election, i developed hatred for RCCG and Baba Adeboye sef. I really did damage during the election but with the benefit of hindsight, i regret my actions for Peter Obi. The Igbos are just not psychologically ready for leadership and if Peter Obi had won, yorubas would have suffered. I am quite pleased with the religious balance in the appointments of Asiwaju so far and his subtle weaning out of Nasir EL-Rufai, who is a religious bigot. Its just unfortunate for the Igbos that things had to turn out this way against them. That is life. |
Omoawoke2:Partly, yes. I was of the opinion that Igbos too deserve to be President. But with their conduct and lethargy after Peter Obi was pushed aside, i now think they dont deserve it and will never get it. They are defeated psychologically. |
leanonme82:I dont want to believe Peter Obi said that? He should have exercised better judgment and restraint though. That is his loss anyways. |
leanonme82:Can you imagine that Igbo lady who is probably a refugee in yoruba land bragging with their failed leaders in igbo land? Destitutes who want to lecture and teach yorubas about good governance. |
Ngozi123:We are dealing with your menace subtly. If you pay attention to the enforcement actions of the building agencies in Lagos, you will notice. But that is even pale in comparison to the psychological damage that the dismissal of Peter Obi's petition will have on you igbos. Keep your crassness and hubris up. Yoruba will deal with you systematically. |
Christistruth03:Ok. Thank you brother. If true, that will be very bad of Peter Obi. |
Ngozi123:I will be fine, so will millions of Nigerians. Why do you think i wont be fine? So because i am chatting with you on nairaland, you presume i am poor? Do you know who i am? Igbos dont feed me in real life as i have no business dealings with them. Even with the battered state of the Nigerian economy, most yorubas will never suffer to the extent of begging igbos for food. If you disturb us too much, we will enact policies to frustrate your business and chase you back to your evil forest in the East. |
Ngozi123:Please talk to your leaders. We dont want you in Yoruba land anymore. Even with the hospitality and love shown to you, Igbos still hate yorubas. We (educated yorubas, majorly Christians) supported Peter Obi wholeheartedly in the past election but Tinubu robbed him. What have your leaders said or done about the daylight robbery? What levers of power have they pulled for Peter Obi? All we get is hate because Tinubu cheated Peter Obi. I guess we yorubas are damned if we do and damned if we dont for you Igbos right? Please fix the SE and leave yoruba land. That is what we want. |
Christistruth03:Can you send me a link to Kenneth's confirmation of the tape? |
Ngozi123:So you think with the way i write and my insight, i will suffer? Why do you igbos think only other tribes will suffer bad governance? Even if Igbos are better than the average Hausa man, i refuse to accept that you are better than the average yoruba man. We have a strong, virile region and a young and educated youth population. Buying and selling in 2 by 2 shops in the SW region does not make you better than the next yoruba man. Yorubas can destroy your enterprise with a stroke of the pen. We lead the services sector of the Nigerian economy and we are head and shoulders above igbos. You igbos can only insult and malign the muslim North because they are not educated and attuned with the knowledge economy of the 21st century. As for Peter Obi, he should be fine with the fact that he won an election which he was robbed of for being an Igbo man in Nigeria. He can always include it in his CV that he once ran a successful Presidential campaign but he was cheated out of his due by a corrupt Nigerian system. |
Christistruth03:Even though i now detest Peter Obi for being weak and effeminate, it does not mean i will sit by and allow you spew that lie that he declared a religious war on any section of the federation. That audio piece released by the APC was a deep fake AI recording that anybody can make for propaganda purposes. It would even have been better if Peter Obi declared and prosecuted a religious war on the bigoted muslims who foisted a muslim/muslim ticket on Nigeria. His inability to do anything in the face of injustice is part reason why he is now derided and caricatured as being effeminate and weak. Get your head out of your ass. |
gidgiddy:If you igbos did not want that office, you will not be online disgracing Nigeria and her public officials for almost two years now. Luckily for Igbos and Nigerians, the Appeal Court will render its decision soon, thus burying the chances of an Igbo man ever leading Nigeria. After the dismissal of the petition, we want to see what you igbos will do for being forever consigned to subservience politically in Nigeria. |
seunmsg:You are full time staff of an APC troll farm to defend the regime online so nothing i say will make sense to you. Just avoid this thread. Thank you. |
The Igbos are something else. If i really say what is on my mind about them, i will be banned. Thank God others can identify and segregate them from other Nigerians now. That culture of criminality and greed is pervasive in igbo land. |
Igbos generally deserve no pity because you are a messed up and disorganized people. While it's true that you are hated by other Nigerians, you make things worse for yourselves by not building a great region and inhabiting it. Rather, you wander around stirring trouble in the regions of your perceived enemies while claiming they hate you. Perhaps you igbos will know your place in Nigeria after the PEPT delivers its judgment on September 16, 2023, dismissing Peter Obi's petition and shutting the door to any chances for Igbo Presidency in Nigeria for EVER. Your pride and insolence as a people is nauseating to others in Nigeria and around the world. |

Even if every single igbo vote for Obi, he will still lose!
