SenatePresdo:I blame him too. He should never have trusted in the courts. His home plan should have been rock solid. The igbo elites and his IPOB brothers dont like him. In addition, the igbo nation is in a mess and they cant get their shit together. So who would fight for him? |
SenatePresdo:SMH.....Ok ooooo You igbos are eternal optimist and it is a good trait for business. But it is not so good for politics and survival in a partly-failed African country with weak and corrupt institutions. We await the reply written and the expected judgment of the court. The country needs to drag on because we have been distracted too much by Peter Obi and his band of unruly supporters online who only bark but cant bike. |
skyZine:Kindly explain to me like a 5 year old why you think my opinions are childish. I am waiting. |
Clickairtravels:Respect is earned and not demanded. Your region is in a mess and misfits and brigands are leading your secession struggle. Tell me, why should i respect the igbo nation? You are all refugees in my region but you want me to respect you? Is that how things work? |
TakeNigeriaBack:You are correct sha. Let the country just get better. Nigerians are suffering. |
TakeNigeriaBack:I know all what you are saying. But we all know that the votes of the people of Rivers state was rigged now. How can the people of Rivers vote for Tinubu? We know how it happened now. Whether Obi was able to prove it in Court is another thing altogether. |
richie240:We were angry and are still uncomfortable with Buhari and the APC regarding their woeful failure at governance and the audacity of fielding a Muslim/Muslim ticket in a secular Nigeria. The fact is that Tinubu did not win but this is Nigeria. I and millions of Nigerians dont trust our judicial system because they are operated and ran by Nigerians. That is why i am fully confident that tinubu will win in Court. Our judiciary is very weak and corrupt. |
TakeNigeriaBack:Rivers, Benue, Niger. His tally was drastically reduced in Kaduna, Bornu, and Lagos. |
TakeNigeriaBack:He won the election but he was cheated. I dont want to argue but i know he was cheated. I wont say more than that. He is a small boy to Tinubu and he should rest. Our judicial system is not as strong and virile as Obi has deluded himself to think. Now Olanipekun has dashed Obi's hope in Court. A strong and independent Supreme Court in a stable democracy will nullify the election and order the withdrawal of Tinubu's certificate of return on the ground of 25% in FCT alone. But the Nigerian Supreme Court is weak and corrupt so Tinubu will continue to rule. That is just the fact. |
ejimatic:Apart from the sociological factors, the petition is defective at its root. The only problematic point or issue is the 25% in the FCT and the Appeal Court will devise a way to split the decision with the majority construing Section 134 of the 1999 Constitution to mean that the FCT is a state in line with prior precedents of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will also deliver a split decision to save Tinubu and Nigeria. IGBOS DO NOT HAVE LEVERAGE IN NIGERIA AND THEY WILL LOSE BECAUSE OF THAT. |
jerk:Sod off and read the written address. All of you just insult fellow Nigerians due to your cultish devotion to a lost cause. I was a former Obidient but i left the movement due to the rudeness of you Igbos who polluted the movement with your arrogance as usual. From a legal standpoint, Obi's petition is dead in the water. Consult your lawyer for advise. |
ejimatic:God will help everybody. I have some legal chops so when i saw the written address, i knew there was no way for Peter Obi. I am very cleared eyed about things due to my training. There is no way the Court will rule for Obi. As for the issue of 25% in FCT, the Court will use good old common law constitutionalism to dispense with that problem. In addition, the judges will choose to offend Obi & Igbos than Tinubu and the Southwest where Lagos is situated. If the Court rules against Tinubu, Lagos and Nigeria will boil and that is inimical to Nigeria's national economic interest. Obi does not even have IPOB or the Niger Delta boys in his corner. And for many Nigerians, they do jot care if igbos burn down their own region to the ground in anger. Igbo land is not important to Nigeria. Also, who wants to die for a stingy and effeminate Obi? But plenty area boys will die for Tinubu. These are some of the sociological factors the Court will consider in reaching their decision. Judges are human beings just like ordinary Nigerians. Just that they have a legal training and have been elevated to the bench. With regards to this petition, i am confident that the Court will dismiss it with costs. |
Depriest2020:I have accepted my fate since but it is very painful because we prayed, spent money and burnt bridges to make Obi President. But even his home region is not balanced to fight for the right of their son and they might never be President again. Their next turn in 30 years time. It is well. |
successmatters:I will take the insult, while you take the pain of the loss. I understand how you feel. |
flokii:That written address was a work of intellectual and legal sophistry. I dont know how Peter Obi's team can respond. They are mostly constitutional and statutory dictates so there is no way out. I am just preparing the mind of Nigerians so they dont say the Judiciary has been bribed. |
successmatters:How many Igbo boys fit die for am? Is it yoruba or hausa boys that should fight for him? The fact is that he is stingy and he has not helped many people in his journey of life That is not even my business. That is the business of his igbo brethren. They are apparently abandoned him to his fate. |
successmatters:I campaigned, made numerous financial contributions to labour party campaign, and used my hard earned money to lodge in a hotel far from home just to vote Peter Obi. I knew he was a weak person but never contemplated this level of docility. He has been cheated and the rest is now history. Who am I to die on Peter Obi's matter when the elites and the strong men in his tribe (IPOB) do not reckon with him? How many people Peter Obi don help for this life? We still no look that side and we voted for him and you want us to continue hating on Asiwaju Tinubu? I no get any Igbo blood flowing through my veins ooo, I be proper Yoruba man. We try for Peter Obi abeg!!! |
Landowner101:We go see who go cry in the next few weeks when the Court hands down its decision. You think this is about tribalism? Do you know how many millions of Yoruba youths abandoned Tinubu to vote for Peter Obi? Anyways, most of us liberal yorubas don come back home anyways and we have no choice but to support the current administration. Peter Obi was never going to be allowed to win anyways due to his tribe but Nigerians still rallied around him. But at this juncture, we done tire because he comes from a disorganised and confused region. If they had any power or leverage in Nigeria, their son would not have been brazenly robbed of his mandate. But it is a dog-eat-dog world, isnt it ? |
Depriest2020:I do understand your point sir. I guess this is the end of the road then? Because, legally, he has no escape route oooo with the legal salvos i am reading in this Final Written Address. |
successmatters:Please go and read the Final Written Address. Yes, I FEAR for Peter Obi's lawyers because as a learned person myself, i know that there is no escape route for Peter Obi in Court. This the end of the road and the culmination of the efforts of Nigerians to rally and support him. We labored in vain as demonically prophesied by President Tinubu. Abeg go read the written address, dont take my word for it. |
Depriest2020:That case is gone. It is an empty shell and a total waste of Nigerians' time. He should not have gone to court at all. Nigerians tried for him but he did not plan well. Now Tinubu has him where he wants him. Anyways, Peter Obi is a soft man and comes from a defeated tribe so nothing dey shele. We will all move ahead without rancor. |
helinues:This is another salient legal point that was raised by Olanipekun in his Written Address. The labour party, being 3rd placed party, sought to be declared winner and returned elected without joining the PDP who came in 2nd place in the elections as a party (Respondent) to its petition. It is trite law that no order can be made against a non-party to a suit. And PDP will be grossly affected were the Court to declare Peter Obi the winner of the elections. This is one of the technical nuances/point which Chief Olanipekun used to knock out Peter Obi's Petition. I know Obidients will insult and ignore but the hands of the Courts are tied and they cannot rule in favor of Obi. |
Faber:We will be here when the petition will be dismissed concurrently. Have you read the written address? If not, please avail yourself of the opportunity. As for anarchy, Igbos are at their weakest point ever in Nigeria. Even the smallest minority tribes in the South are more powerful than igbos now in Nigeria. You are essentially a conquered tribe now. That is not an insult but the fact. |
First of all, i will start by saying Non-Igbo supporters of Peter Obi really tried for him during the election period. For example, I as a yoruba man made many enemies because I supported Peter Obi. But that is in the past now. The crux of this write up is that Peter Obi wasted a rare opportunity of utilizing the unity of Nigerians caused by Buhari's misrule to galvanize real change. Since he knew he will be cheated, why did Peter Obi not mend fences with the Igbo elites and perhaps his IPOB brothers to instigate some sort of uprising after should he be cheated? I attribute that to the disorganization and powerless position igbos have found themselves in Nigeria. Igbos are confused, disorganized, defeated and disoriented in handling their regional and collective affairs in Nigeria. Most Igbos are now refugees in other regions having fled their own region due to conflict. Their wahala is a self-inflicted one because they are a very arrogant and disunited people. I know Peter Obi won that election but he is a small boy to Tinubu and he cannot fight him in any way, shape or form. It is a sad reality we all have to deal with. State capture is real. As for the case in Court, having read the final written address by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) i can categorically state that the petition will be dismissed because there is no way that any Court of law will rule in favor of Peter Obi given the plethora of legal and evidentiary issues plaguing Peter Obi's petition as dissected in that final written address (I urge every interested person to read and digest that Final Written Address). The doctrine of covering the field was used to block all legal loopholes in Tinubu's case and he is well guarded. I cannot wait for the response from Obi's legal team and i can confidently preempt their written address by stating that they wont have any cogent points but to try and distinguish the legal authorities cited by Olanipekun & APC's legal team. Tinubu has Peter Obi cornered already and there is no escape for Obi. Even if there were no legal issues bedeviling the Peter Obi's petition, the Courts will still rule against Peter Obi and nothing will happen. Peter Obi does not have any extensive network, neither does he come from a strong region which can trouble Nigeria. Heck, even Igbo elites are not on his side because as a people, Igbos dont just have any leverage in Nigeria. They cannot shake things up. I know Igbos and Obidients (mainly made up of IPOB remnants now since other non-igbos have left the movement) will insult me for saying the truth but the truth must still be said. My advice is for everybody to move on and not hope for any favorable judgment from the Court. The petition will be dismissed with punitive costs for being frivolous, speculative and time wasting. Wishing everyone a nice week ahead. |
Ignyte:Can i get your whatsapp number? |
So how much is this course of yours? |
Koppaguard:Where do you live? |
9jatriot:Nothing like grace. He bought vital national institutions and the muslim North wants to make a statement with his presidency that Islam is supreme in Nigeria. Buhari's life has always been about the ascendancy of islam in Nigeria. I just hope Christians are learning. |
maestroferddi:I am not scared of death brother. Most Nigerians are dead already. Do not scare me with the power of your God to kill me. |
FahBuLous:Can you tell the white man that he is a fool? The white race dont believe in any sky daddy "God". Can you look at the aryan race and say it categorically that they are fools? |
maestroferddi:Which God? Abeg park well jareee. God that sits down and allows evil people prosper while the righteous die and wallow in penury? Spare me with that afterlife bull shit. If i die, i die be that. Most Africans are just existing anyways, they are not living and thriving. |
maestroferddi:Good health and material success and leaving a legacy for my offspring is success to me. |
