TravelRe: Uk Visit Visa Refused, plss I Need Help by philipin7: 6:36pm On Mar 21, 2013
What suggestions do you have. The lump sum was deposited a long time ago and I have been saving the money that's why my account deposit is high. Also I normally receive money from my husband through western union money transfer. I have been working since 2009 so I can save.

Hi ELDERLAGON,
Pls I need your advice, I have just been refused a family visit visa based on the ground that my bank account statements is 11 times more than what I earn. I have over 500, 000 Nair which I saved over the years. I earn 45, 000 Nair a monthly and normally receive money from my husband through western union. All the receipts, payslips, salary payment vouchers were submitted? Yet they were not conviced. They also stated that all my salary payments were made in cash, but this is not true. Where do I start from to correct this mess.

Thanks.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 9:43am On Sep 26, 2012
Pls all i can remember is that either vicjustice or Justwise promised to give me a list of all the documents i need when i am ready (he told me this thru email). It's not easy mixing work with visa preparations. If you cannot give me the information again, that's fine with me. I will just read through the thread.

I just want to know which document my husband has to provide for tax-p60, tax clearance or council tax
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 8:55am On Sep 26, 2012
Ok, i guess i have to renew it then.

Pls Vicjustice can you help me a list of all the documents i am to get so i know i am on the right track. I am applying for a visit visa and my husband is british. I am a bit confused with some documents such as P60 end of year certificate, Tax clearance and Council Tax. Does my husband need to provide all three of them?

Thanks
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 5:08pm On Sep 25, 2012
Vicjustice: It's clearly a requirement that your passport has at least 6 months validity.
You don't need to include the "payment schedule", your pay-slip is sufficient
i saw in the UK BA site that if your salary is being paid into an account, you should provide a statement showing these payments. My payslips don't show that it is paid into my account, its the payment schedule that has this information. That is why i have decided to submit them along with my payslips
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 5:01pm On Sep 25, 2012
so does it mean i have to renew and i intend applying for visa in December. By that time my passport has just 5 months validity. Pls vicjustice advice on what to do.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 2:03pm On Sep 25, 2012
Thanks justwise,

Another thing is by December when i am applying, my passport will have just 5 months to expire. Do i need to renew it now. I don't know if its possible to renew when its not expired.

Secondly i intend submitting payment schedule of staff which is normally used for paying into our salary accounts, together with my payslips and one of the schedule of payment for July has my maiden name on it while the payslip for July has my husband's name. My bank statement will bear my Husband's name too. will this cause a problem for me? I mean the names.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 1:38pm On Sep 25, 2012
[quote author=Vicjustice]Considering how i felt you were ungratefully rude to me, i wouldn't have loved to intervene in this, but i have to let it go.

Your husband can use a payslip printed from the net, it is also acceptable to use fax or photocopy of such documents; they are not hard documents: only documents that carry security authentications, stamps, seals or signatures would not be accepted if printed faxed or photocopied.

Thanks vicjustice, very grateful. And sorry for last time
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 10:53am On Sep 25, 2012
hi Justwise,

very soon i will be applying for visa but i have a little problem which i hope you would be able to give your advice.
My husband is finding it difficult getting all his payslips. He works as a health care assistant in NHS Hospitals and he gets his payslips regularly from them, but the problem is that he does extra shifts for NHS Professionals and doesn't get payslips from them. He has written them and called several times as regards this problem but they just advised he goes online and print copies of the payslips needed.

Can i present payslips printed from NHS Professionals website, will this be acceptable. He has original copies of payslips for his permanent job, its just getting payslips for the extra shifts he does thats the problem.

Please help me out

justwise: General visitor
Do i need to include pictures of me and her, phone records and emails, dont have any of these
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 2:32pm On Jul 27, 2012
jUSTWISE PLS HELP TO CLARIFY:

To come to the UK as a family visitor, you must be able to show that you will be visiting the following family members in the UK:

spouse, civil partner, father, mother, son, daughter, brother or sister; grandfather, grandmother, grandson or granddaughter; spouse or civil partner's father, mother, brother or sister; son or daughter's spouse or civil partner; stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother or stepsister; or a person you have been living with in a genuine and subsisting relationship, like marriage or civil partnership, for at least 2 years before the day you apply. If you want to visit a family member who is not listed above, you should come to the UK as a general visitor.

Will they regard sister inlaw as "SISTER" i want to know if i will apply as a general visitor if my sister is sponsoring me, and do i need to present pictures, emails and phone records of us(i mean my my sister inlaw and i)
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 12:43pm On Jul 27, 2012
justwise: Yes that is the point, are you ready to explain to the ECO that your husband is British but he is not sponsoring you but you will stay with him when you get there? If you are ready to do that then fine. Put his details and that of your sister inlaw.
If i am putting details of my sister inlaw would it include pictures and emails and phone records,i dont have any of these. As for that of my husband every document is available.

Do i use a General visitor form or a family visitor if my sister in law ia sponsoring me
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7:
justwise: That sound suspicious to me, are you going to disclose the info in your form? I mean tell the ECO that your sister inlaw will sponsor you while you stay with your husband?
Justwise i got this information from the UK BA site that is why i feel i can use my sister inlaw

- If someone else is paying for your trip then they should consider providing the same information about their finances and
employment.
- If you are providing documents from a joint account then please explain who the other account holders are, and why you
have permission to spend money from the account
- If your spouse or partner is employed then the Entry Clearance Officer would also like to see evidence of their
employment and financial details.

justwise: That sound suspicious to me, are you going to disclose the info in your form? I mean tell the ECO that your sister inlaw will sponsor you while you stay with your husband?
I get your point, thanks for the advice
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 12:02pm On Jul 23, 2012
justwise: You stand far better chance with your husband being the sponsor than your sister inlaw since they both live in the same country.

If you scroll back you will see the list of documents i listed that you need from your husband, i think a page or two back.

My worry is this. . .if you fill-in your husband's name in the form but claimed to be visiting your sister inlaw who lives in the same country with your husband don't you think it will raise doubt about your marriage?

Your sister inlaw should send you prove of accommodation, data page of her passport, bank statement/payslip and IV.

We just want her to to sponsor my trip while accommodation details will be covered by my husband. What do you think Still a bad Idea?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 9:15am On Jul 23, 2012
Thanks Justwise for your assistance so far.

Please i have a mix up along the line, and i need your help on this.My sister in-law has decided to sponsor my trip and i wanted to know if i should still use the family visitor form or i just go for the general visitor form. This is because i dont have pictures taken with her, we rarely communicate so no emails and telephone records available. Just want her to bring her bank statements and employment documents as my sponsor, then stay with my husband. What documents do i need from her and what do i need from my husband
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 9:47am On Jul 20, 2012
justwise: That is only for student visa.

You can make hotel reservation without paying but you will be asked to enter your card details, you will only pay when you get to the hotel.
Thanks justwise, but i will be staying with my husband during the visit and he will state this in the invitation letter, do i still need to make hotel reservation. Do i need to do travelling booking arrangement (i was told this does not involve actual payment of flight ticket, just shows the arrangement you have made for travelling).

Thanks
TravelRe: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by philipin7: 4:59pm On Jul 19, 2012
A lot of people make the mistake of making deposits into their accounts prior to visa application; this action is called "Money Lodgement" which is an express ground for visa refusal: Do not naively commit this violation (by depositing lump sums of money into an account which apparently stands in isolation) for presentation purpose.
Such account does not meet the requirement of an acceptable bank statement so, applying for a visa with it will only give you a definite result, REFUSAL.

This is how it works; An acceptable bank statement must have up to six months transaction records demonstrating your income (from verifiable sources) and expenditures, and it must have good enough fund to sustain your trip and intentions, and also; it must have enough balance to keep you going after the trip: preferably, a Savings account, Salary account or Wages account:
Importantly, you must be able to satisfy your Visa Officer that you have somewhat of an obligation or home tie to return to Nigeria for.
I regret to say that until your bank statements meet the standard format as explained, you will continue to get refused no matter how many times you applied or how much money you have in your accounts

Please i want to ask if i collect money from my husband through western union and deposit this in my salary account, is this money lodgement, even when i present the western union money receipts. The money deposited will correspond with what is in the western union receipts
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 4:49pm On Jul 19, 2012
Please can some one explain to me what 28 days of money maturity in the bank is all about. I don't understand what it means And am i to add ticket booking arrangement to my document, i was made to understand that this arrangement involves booking without actual payment for flight ticket.

everystep87: @VICJUSTICE, this mail is for you:

"Friend, you involved too many unnecessary documents, this alone shows how desperate you are with your lack of confidence.
You can't use a solicitor because you have absolutely no legal ground; a visa is a privilege, not a human rights,: even President Jonathan could be refused a visa.
The problem I see here is with your bank statements, you presented multiple accounts, and the total is N1.3 million, this reveals that you money is scattered all over the banks therefore, your account statements do not meet the required format or standard: this is the main reason that you can't get the visa; and no solicitor can assist you"

This was your reply to my mail some weeks back. Am happy to tell you that, i have been granted visa into the UK for 6months.I actually used a solicitor who drafted a letter to which i added to my application and re-apply for the 3rd time in 3months after 2 refusal.

You made mention that: "a visa is a privilege, not a human rights,: even President Jonathan could be refused a visa" I want tell you a visa is a right if you meet all their requirement. A president of a country can never be refused a visa if the political tie of the two countries are mutual. I wish we can debate this: "if visa is a right or privilege. To me it is a right only if you know your right. I just want to advice you that, stop being harsh on people when they seek for assistant through this medium. Just be polite and calm in your reply.

I still want to say, you are doing a great job, you just need a little customer service training in resolving people queries.

@Jidebobo, i want to thank you for telling me to reduce numbers of document submitted. I wish you all, great success in life endevours. UK: HERE I COME.

Vicjustice: She actually has complicated the whole information with her various enquiries, and i am beginning to get confused as to what category of visa that she is applying for; and i have been dealing with her queries with the understanding that her Spouse is in the UK and that she would be applying for a visa to JOIN him, and in this situation, she would be required to provide her Birth Certificate.
I appreciate your constructive posts.

Evidence of your relationship to your
sponsor and any contact between you
This could be a letter from your sponsor confirming your relationship and that
they are supporting your application, along with copies of:
* your birth certificate or adoption certificate
* your marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate
* a death or divorce certificate
* photographs of your wedding, civil partnership ceremony or other time spent
together
* phone records
* emails, letters or cards
You should not submit DVDs or video cassettes

How do i get phone records and am i to print the emails ,u know they are very particular about original copies. Also i just have pictures of the wedding ceremony and not of the court marriage, cant seem to find them, will the wedding pics serve. Are all these applicable for Family visit visa too.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7: 1:24pm On Jul 04, 2012
Vicjustice: Under normal circumstances, this is supposed to forever "disqualify" you, but you are lucky i have experience with this scenario.
It is not a rare thing for Visa Officers to observe discrepancies in given Dates Of Birth especially pertaining to parents, so, they are aware of the fact that the DOBs of a vast number of Africans are highly uncertain. I have applied for a visa before entering the DOB of a relative (something that i wasn't sure of), and the visa was issued. And then, on another application, i forgot the DOB that i gave previously; and i entered a totally different one: but at the end, i added a note that reads:

* "Though i have honestly filled the form with as much information as i can genuinely provide, but the DOB of ******** is highly uncertain as there exists no national database (in Nigeria) to keep such records and therefore, in the absence of such, i would like to state that the DOB provided is not to the best of my knowledge."

Thanks alot, u are God sent

Trust me, the visa was also approved despite the discrepancies: i am arguably one of the people that made the Embassy to consider adding an option for people who happen to be in this situation; and now-a-days, there is an option of "I Don't Know" when entering a family member's DOB.

Now, you can do the same for your parents date of birth, these visa officers are aware that Nigerians (like most black African nationals) are not properly documented: So, you can do the same: If applying online in the past, (when you can't proceed to next page without entering a date of birth) you could have entered a guessed DOB, but now that there is the "Don't Know" option, this is your best option: And remember to make a declaration of your lack of knowledge at the end claiming that the DOB of your parents are highly uncertain as there exist no national database to keep such record.

Note: In future time, your parents may need a sworn (and permanent) Declaration Of Age in order to deal with the situation and to be considered eligible for subsequent visa application
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by philipin7:

i was careless to have filled in wrong year of births for my parents in my last application in2007. but now i want to re apply and i am sure of the correct dates, will this disqualify me. There will be discrepancies when they check the former form, how do i address this discrepancy when i want to re-apply.
Is there any way i can trace the form on the internet
