even buhari has seen the solid economic foundation laid by gej . I know some ppl who voted against gej will be thinking now that why did they change him if buhari was going to continue gej policies .
Everybody who voted GEJ out didn't do because of lack of sound economic policy but because of sound legacy of corruption. Copy that. Corruption can bring down the Tower of Babel in two seconds and that's just why Nigeria crippled just within minutes of drop in crude oil price. In other words GEJ supervised the rape of just one virgin by 500 men.

WIKE UNDER SERIOUS PANIC AS SECURITY AGENTS CLOSE IN ON HIS FRONTS; ONE MR. MOSES EBUTE AND 2 OTHER.

The information available is that only saving Grace why Chief Wike has not been picked up by security agents is the immunity which he currently enjoys, but it will not be too long before he is taken. The Security Agencies have tracked all movements, including the transfer of huge funds made to account of some persons with the intent of bribing the Tribunal Justices, through one Mr. Moses Ebute and 2 others, including one Peter. His surprise came when 2 of the Justices directed that his money should be returned to him and warned that if he did not desist from attempting to bribe them, they would do a formal letter to the CJN to report his overtures.

Chief Wike was said to have been shocked by the reaction of the Justices, whom he had earlier boasted had a price. He is now turn between keeping the Justices from making a formal complaint against him and managing his very bad case at the Tribunal.

This is coming in the wake of the invitation to the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Rivers State by security agencies to answer to the allegations of crime against her, contrary to section 77(2) of the Electoral Act 2015. Indications are that the REC is ready to "sing" to avoid prosecutions, for her violation of the Electoral Act and the huge sums of money that passed through her account in the last five months which she could not explain away.

Our source gathered that Chief Wike is doing everything possible to stop the REC from appearing before the Security Agencies. Indications are that he might be in Abuja on Tuesday, 21 July 2015 to have any informal session with one of the Deputy Directors of the DSS with the intent of prevailing on the DG, DSS not to push hard on the REC. This might not be possible given the no-nonsense posture of the new DG DSS. Whether the DG would yield is a matter of time.

The coming weeks will tell how Chief Wike is able to handle these crises.

Apart from Umaru Dikko and save for one or two others, how many northerners did Buhari hound in 1984?
Umaru Dikko's case alone is worse than 10 others. That was the biggest embarrassment anyone can ever go through. For a kinsman to contemplate that means no one is beyond his axe. I want to believe, barring any conspiracy theory, that this man has no friend or brother in matters like this. You might not like him but series of events and precedents are showing to that direction. Nevertheless, he is not superhuman so any exceptions you will want to point to can be excused.

madmoney:
THE INFERIOR PRESIDENT
A country is certainly as big as its President and as small as its President makes it look. The United States of America is well respected in the comity of nations because they have always been lucky enough to have leaders with high self esteem, not necessarily because of any material blessings from Nature. If there is anything so special about America, it is her leaders. And leaders are what should define a nation.
Some unfortunate Nigerians are actually celebrating the fact that their President is in America, to see the American President. This gets me wondering if our own President is a little imp, while that of Americans is a super god.
It would have been easier to overlook if this excitement stopped with ordinary Nigerians, but when you see our Governors and Presidential aides posting pictures of our President with the President of another country, as if we have hit gold, then you can't help but be ashamed that our country is this abused. The simple message that our President and his handlers have passed is that Buhari is inferior to Obama, and he is happy about that.
This is a President Obama, who is close to his last day in office as President, yet he has not deemed it fit to visit Nigeria; black nation's biggest country, yet our President in less than two months of being President has jumped into a jet with over one hundred aides, security personnel and personal staff to go visit America.
Our President did not just stop at going hats in hand to Obama, he was also getting ready to lick the American President's anus just to have a handshake with him and get the paparazzi to capture the scene. Can you imagine that our President conceded to Obama the credit of our successful and peaceful election? Nigeria is yet to have a President
With this pain in your chest, I fear for your life. You need help.

These Things are not elementary arithmetic my friend. You do not have the information at the disposal of the responsible parties so you cannot make any informed conclusion on the matter. tete7000:
What I found ludicrous about people's argument on the past govt is that people just want to believe those in govt then didnt do anything with intention to improve people's lot. Every information is disputed and regarded as lies. Even when that govt was trying to pass an important information, such information is disregarded with a wave of hand. We were told there was never a subsidy; subsidy was a scam and Prof Tam David West came and even told us how it is possible to sell pms for N40 per litre without subsidy. President Buhari if I remember well even told us he doesn't understand the word 'subsidy'.
Fastracked into 2months into the life of the same govt now, they want us to believe they are paying over N1b per day on subsidy payment. Now while I am not objecting to the fact that GEJ govt might have been reckless and exaggerated some of the figures given, I ask from a moral point of view:
Can we trust a people who have denied subsidy existed but now want us to believe they are paying so much billions for the same subsidy?
Is it that they never new that subsidy existed or they simply exploited it for personal gain?
If we say they didn't know, can we really trust their future judgement on issue of fundamental nature to the life of our nation when they who had been in govt at various time in the past could make such miscalculation?
If it is said that they knew but hid the figure away from us to win election, does it mean in future they can hide important information too from us, exploit figures to gain political advantage over our welfare?
Can they really be said to have our interest at heart or they are just people who seek political power for personal gain?

I honestly hate people who feed me lies. APC have shown their penchant for lies and propaganda and I m always sceptical they can turn the fortune of this country around. Nothing built on falsehood can stand.
Time will tell and I pray I am proven wrong.
You have a genuine reason for your fears and I share in some of the sentiments too. A lot of stuffs were bungled up by the last administration that you wouldn't blame much if one argued there was nothing like subsidy because there was almost zero transparency in its executions. Even when some where found to be shortchanging the system, the government of the day did not demonstrate a will to bring them to book but instead they looked to be shielding them from real scrutiny.

I still suggest this administration is given time to sort out the real issues with subsidy and other aspect of the economy that is yet to kickstart. When they are finally out with their policy direction then we can begin to ask these hard questions. It would have really been very poor judgement for Buhari to just come in and the first thing he will do is stop subsidy without taking time to look into the merits or demerits just like he did with the service chiefs.

So cool down, suffily suffily catchee monkey according to the honorable Obahiagbon.

The word WITCH-HUNT just got into every page of Nigerian political dictionary just only because someone developed the guts to do the unthinkable in recent Nigeria. Let him finish his witch-hunt and let PDP continue from where he stopped if they ever get the privilege to come back to power. You are very funny. Aren't you one of the Chief Supporters of Amaechi and Tinubu? Lol... Last night I also laughed when you tried to say you aren't an ethnic warlord, unfortunately your posts doesn't tell but again I left you to your conscience. Bro, let's be real to ourselves abeg.
You tend to misunderstand me as a person. The support I had for Amaechi was just predicated on the fact that I saw he was been oppressed and muscled unnecessarily which in normal life I hate. If you do the same thing did to him to Wike today he will react same way or even worse. Let's be fair in all our judgements and tend to put ourselves in others shoes. Somebody deliberately created and oiled the Rivers imbroglio for selfish reasons to be benefited from after seeing a niche to latch on. Honestly, I will not bat an eyelid if by any means Amaechi and Tinubu are found guilty tomorrow and thrown inside jail for 100 years. But that's not our subject of discussion today.

Then on being an ethnic warlord, how can that be na? It's ironical for you to think so being that am a full blooded Delta state man that never gave any form of support for my Niger Delta brother because I felt he didn't deserve it. It's not in my DNA and will never be found. That says it all barca.

There are fundamental issues that keep rising to tribalism in this nation. And the solutions to these mutual suspicions are what I seek. Period.
Honestly, I have never seen you as a tribalist but someone who thinks things are not as it's supposed to be with his people. It's an inherent feeling that can masquerade and manifest like being a tribalist. I have witnessed your detribalised and objective nature severally on this forum. In the midst of this, there are incurable tribalists in our midst and we need to do more to preach peace and unity in our own little way. Many times it's the man, your brother who is close to you who seek your downfall while a perceived enemy and stranger wishes you well and will do everything to protect your interest. But mutual suspicions and established norms might shield us from such occurrences.

Very insignificant percentage of the ruling elite and upper class are not as useless as this man. The only reason why they pretend as if the common man exists is because they need them in one way or the other. If these people have their way and think they can exist on their own they will annihilate the common man totally from existence. They are as wicked as that. That is why I cringe when I see this same oppressed masses praise sing the very people that put them in this condition. Just that the system has deliberately been designed that way by these idiots.
But, according to that popular saying, one day the poor people will have no one to feed on but the rich.

That's why this generation needs to deviate from our past and start preaching oneness and unity. I know it's difficult to ignore these mutual suspicions but we can only try especially when we know some certain greedy individuals are festering it for selfish gains.
