Why ascribe something to Buhari when it is obvious the man knows absolute zilch of happenings around him. . . . . .

On the contrary the man does not only know but is in full control of whatever is happening. In essence cluelessness is not in his books at all. His not doling out ministerial positions to politicians up till moment despite the hues and cries from opposition and supporters alike depicts a man who is in full control of his environment. If you are privy to the activities of this man you will stand in awe the caliber of the man Nigerians elected into Aso Rock. The gulf between him and the former occupant is wider than the Atlantic in terms of governance.

Anybody that still argues this last government was not enmeshed in a cesspool of corruption has a whole lot of spiritual cleansing to do. Was God that came to the rescue of Nigerians on March 28th. Buhari said it himself he has not done anything to claim credit at the moment. I will also appreciate you guys give him credit for that humility and truthfulness. Instead what I saw here on that topic were more hate and insults.
Having said that, it's not rocket science most of these establishments are just doing the right thing they have always sabotaged Nigerians for just so any probe will not be directed at their side.
Something you guys must know is GEJ himself might not be a very corrupt man but his lackadaisical attitude towards corruption gave a lot of impetus to the forces holding Nigeria down. Once he started all those stealing is not corruption stories plus many others on national TV, and influenced the process that granted pardon to Alams he already set the pace for the evil men in the society.
What I expect any sensible Nigerian to pray is let the president's strength not fail him giving the many hawks that exist in his political party plus the murky waters of Nigerian political atmosphere.
We have suffered too much in the hands of our so called leaders.

Yes, he was the best thing to have happened to criminals in the country's oil sector. He must be the best thing, to have inherited so much, made so much huge crude oil sales in record prices in almost all his rule but left at a time even his finance minister had to borrow money to pay SALARIES!!! Nigeria should be in the mould of China by now in terms of industrial development having such a God sent man for 5yrs with that much money.

Yet the probe by the president is not making them reason properly and I foresee that's what will tear the party into shreds.

You are so on point. We need to hold our leaders accountable and not some imaginary enemies who are also problems to their own regions. There's virtually nothing to show for the huge accruals to the Niger Delta states since 1999 apart from the swollen pockets of some few individuals. When it's time to get and share offices they invoke our sentiments of we are from ND and must support them, but when they get to these positions it's all man for himself. They loot and steal our collective monies, lock themselves in high fences and tinted glasses with escorts while the masses continue to suffer. God punish all of them, they should be probed and jailed.
