You think they don't know how many lives his foot soldiers took on his behalf for him to be returned while he quietly urged them on? For your information they are just praising him now so he can gently pack his baggage on May 29th. President Jonathan is no different from IBB who out of pressure agreed to step aside on Aug 27th 1993. One thing you sycophants shouldn't forget is Nigerians are quick to forgive but their memories are definitely not that short. We hardly forget.

I know you have gathered many likes from this. In fact I gave you one for my own reason. But please remember this woman did not do all she did for the love of her husband. Instead she's a power monger who was ready to divorce Jonathan if he refused contesting in this elections. This is the type of woman that will drive the husband to the grave all in a bid to satisfy her quest for power and wealth. The type that will not flick an eyelid if the husband decides to use one of the kids for money rituals. I, surely do not want this kind of a woman as a wife.

Thank you very much. Hypocrisy and sentiments are the bane of Nigerians. I so much believe if Abacha wakes up today and start crying persecution and how much he loved Nigerians, these same people who have been crying blue murder will eulogize him. I am not moved by all this late show of statesmanship. We all know resilient Nigerians and the international community reined him into this latest act. This man was prepared to shed the blood of the last Nigerian to get the second term. How can we forget so soon he singlehandedly took dollars to the southwest Obas for support whilst the kings in his domain wallop in abject poverty? Did I hear him say free and fair elections? With the blood votes from Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states? Gbagbo was a statesman too for agreeing to be physically dragged from government house. Development will continue to elude us until we start calling spades spades and stop allowing our emotions and sentiments rule us.

Congratulations to everyone on this forum who in spite of all continue to support the fight for a new Nigeria irrespective of tribe and religion. Most especially those of us who at the risk of being called unprintable names of traitors as "brothers" of the outgoing president but still chose to stand on the side of truth till the end.
I hope and pray the fall of Jonathan and PDP from power will serve as deterrent to the incoming occupants of Aso Rock and the NASS. Never again will politicians take Nigerians for granted. If the APC messes up they have just 4 years to see the exit door, Nigerians cannot give another 16 years chance to any political party to gamble with their lives.

Every small goodwill he would have gathered in this area is being squandered again in these past 3 days. The whole world is watching how him and his party are attempting to scuttle the masses will. That they are not succeeding is owed to the resilience of the people coupled with the big eyes of the international community in Nigeria at the moment. I have never seen anybody as unwise as this president. I kept saying GEJ had no business going into this contest. The goodwill he would have gathered around the world if he had abstained would have been enough to earn him millions of dollars in retirement. But he listened to the dogs of the Niger Delta and his desperate wife who kept threatening and urging him on. Now I feel serious pity on him.

Presidential Villa: APC defeats PDP

The All Progressive Congress candidate for the House of Representatives has defeated the Peoples Democratic Candidate at the two polling units located within the precincts of the Presidential Villa.

In the polling Unit 021, the APC candidate polled 255 votes while the PDP candidate polled 254 votes.

In the second polling unit 022, the APC candidate got 334 votes while the PDP candidate came second with 241 votes.

The votes for the senatorial candidate is still being sorted at the time of filing this report.
