Yes, I got into McGill University. Passion2009: Were you admitted to the McGills and/or the University of Toronto and UBC? They are the top schools in Canada and I hardly see Nigerians(on nairaland) apply/secure admission into these top 3 schools. |

Even the almighty UToronto, McGill and UBC don't ask Nigerians for IELTS. I didn't submit anything concerning English language at McGill, and for UBC, I only uploaded the "English as a Medium of instruction" document. If you have a very good GPA, just try those schools and forget IELTS/TOEFL and/or GRE. victorsol: what about medium of instruction? sometimes medium of instruction replaces ilets. I could remember when I applied to wageningen then, ilets or toefl was requested and I submitted medium of instruction. it was accepted and I got my admission letter for my MSc in 10days of application but not going this year again because the final selection for OKP scholarship didn't favour me. I don't know if they take medium of instruction because am considering that school too for my MSc. |

Good morning guys,
Yesterday, I did my medicals and everything seems great but my pulse rate, which was quite elevated (113BPM). I asked the doctor who attended to me if the information he was filling in were okay (at that point, he was recording that of BP which was 129/75), and he said, "that's fine". I thought I might be referred for ECG after sighting the abnormal pulse rate, but I wasn't. And does stethoscope tells how large/big one's heart is? 'cause I was wondering why the doctor had to move that instrument to the edges of chest down to my ribs region. Do I need to be perturbed with this result?
Lastly, for those who did their medicals at IOM, Ikeja, how long did it take IOM to notify you that your medical result has been forwarded to CIC, and how long did it take you to get a "passed" notification on your portal regarding medicals.
Thanks. |

emmaxman: Thanks bro, I have one more question please. Since the upload allows for only one file upload, does it mean I will have to combine sponsorship letter, sponsor SOA, cac and other financial support docs together in one PDF? Same goes to client information - Waec, transcript and other docs. Thanks
q Yes, combine those documents into one PDF and upload. I only did for the client information (letter of explanation, study plan, bachelor cert, transcript, birth cert), and I uploaded just a sponsor letter stating the amount in there and the duration. |

Jola17: Mine is also saying the same thing. When did you apply and is it paper route? quote author=Philomathhh post=78782974]Hello guys,
Is it normal to get a mail from cic prompting you to check your portal for a new message, and only for you to login to realize that there's no message in there?
How long does it usually take to be called for medical examination?
Lastly, does anyone tracking ID indicate "No result found"? I applied on the 22nd of May, did my Biometrics on the 24th. And I used the online route. |
