The standing force ECOMOG was therefore not disbanded and can be used at any time. Should any Soldier in his right senses think he knows better- let him join a political party, contest, win then bring about the change he thinks his society deserve.. Soldiers are to protect not to govern... So whether u like it or not... Niger should be invaded and the Junta made to dance to the song they sing. brainpulse: Atedo Peterside statistics and comments are always off points. How will Niger Republic airspace closure affects us when Nigerians don't use Niger airport and the number of air traffic and people doing business in Niger are very low.
Instead this will rather benefit Nigeria commercially because Niger borne air-flights will use Nigeria's airport and increase our revenue. If you have used an airplane before you would know how wrong you sound Don't you know you fly over other countries, same way you pass through other states in Nigeria when you travel? If you are traveling from Lagos to Ibadan and Ogun state boarder is closed, how do you intend to get to your destination without incuring additional cost? |

One way or another war in Niger will affect cost of food stuff in Nigeria.
Flight cost for the rich Food cost for the poor
Let's not forget that majority of the Malam/Aboki riding Okada and owning kioks in our towns and cities are from Niger. Meaning they could easily infiltrate this country.

Obaaderemi2: Taxes means the SW is more formal and richer than the SE. What's there to tax in. the SE when all the able bodied people are in Ibadan and Lagos? Taxes make the government rich but the people poor. That's the story of your Ibadan vs Onitsha. Every time you celebrate taxes you are celebrating impoverishment of the masses who are forced to pay taxes through PAYEE, choose wisely. |

Omoawoke2: Far ahead in which indices
Statistics of poor people per state doesn’t can easily be flawed.
What you can use to determine is IGR
And in every indices, southeast is the poorest in the south and second poorest in Nigeria Traders hardly pay tax. Taxes are higher in SW because they are deducted from source (by force) through PAYEE, it has nothing to do with the wealth of the citizens. SW has higher number of employees who pay taxes by force while the East has highest number of self employed who hardly pay tax but wealthy. |
Politics › Re: Number Of Poor People In Nigeria According To Zones - NBS by PHIPEX(m): 2:28pm On Jul 30, 2023 |
FreeStuffsNG: It's the reality of how the sampling size used in the majority tribes like Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani that I find concerning.
The population of the South East is the least so the sampling in relation to SW and NW may not be fair. If you sample 10 people out of 20 and take same size of 10 people among 50 people, the probability is higher in the population that is lower but I know you can then use statistical tools to test and analyse the variations which I am aware is still based on statistical assumptions.
It is either the NW and SW group data are faulty or that of the SE is faulty because both groups are at the opposite poles with SE being the least populated zone while NW/SW are the most populated geopolitical zones. I will not even bother go to the apparent asymmetry in having the SE's data in this report with the reality in SE at a time Igboland is having long days of political sit at home days and massive emigration of SEterners to other zones further increasing the chances of reduced population of SE. Check my signature for free stuffs! You sound like an illiterate in economic statistics. If you like carry your propaganda against the East in your head. They are miles ahead of you and there is nothing you can do about it apart from lieing to yourself. Travel and see you no go gree but sit in your face me I face you and regurgitate your propaganda. |
