I know some people were just not happy Insurance Sector which they've so much detested are delivering in market....

Ordinarily the sector is much undervalued and, with the new good news, they should deliver well.

If banks can be transformed, so also insurance sector.

We continue to see how market handles this over time. In fact, the time is even shorter self.
Exactly and very likely for most Insurance companies to return back to their 2008 peaks like the banks very well did.

Signing of this BILL by the president will sky rocket Japaul.

Keep your eyes open for it and keep packing Japaul hence available on the floor

The Nigerian government is currently considering a bill aimed at regulating and formalizing the gold industry. The bill seeks to establish a framework for the exploitation, processing, and marketing of gold, including the creation of a Nigeria Gold Authority (NGA). This framework aims to attract investment, stimulate job creation, and boost revenue for the government. The bill also addresses artisanal miners, regulations for mining, and the establishment of gold refineries in strategic locations.
Brillliant!
What the government needs to do is create a market for the gold - The Central bank creates a gold mint. Then mint will buy from the miners the refined gold. The mint will create gold coins stamped with the coat of arms. The Central bank can then issue to banks ounces of gold coins for sale to Nigerians. Nigerians can buy from the banks and take home or keep with the banks the gold.

It's still delaying till now.....running behind schedule...
The trade engine has been showing this sign for long but no one seems to have paid attention yet...
Let them share no allow it to crash before they fix it
But why is Morgan showing 11:03 and Atlass is showing 11:07 if the problem is entirely from the NGX?

Where to start from?
Haba that is not necessary...
Vectoryoko simply begin to diligently follow the discussion here henceforth to get familiar with the intricacies of the market also register with a stockbrokerage maybe Morgan capital so you can immediately start practical learning. use N10,000 to N100,000 depending on your pocket. Then pretend it is N1,000,000 or N10,000,000. You will make profit, you will make losses and you will learn without the school fees (pain). When you begin making consistent profits then you may use your true capital.

If you are serious about your money, try to do findings beyond social networks, go see where it's happening.

The board might want to eat deep into the company but surely they have the result you can not see on the Internet.

If you are truly investing for the long term I can assure you that u re sitting on a gold mine based on what I know.

Note: I still don't know what they want to use the 250b for, at least for now.
I believed most of it will come from private placement.
They want to use it for Gangnam style

so their delayed feed is normal? I have also been using them and every morning they delay their trade feed for retail investors. All prices and data start slowing down from 10am till 12pm. Then they allow it to start flowing normally again

Oga if na that one den na wrong figure u catch. the 58% was when the buyout offer was announced and oando was trading around 4.5-5
Really? When was the buyout offer announced? What date?

What was the closing price the day before the announcement?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Phlinx: 4:42pm On Oct 11, 2023
lol you guys are funny...that I'm Wale Tinubu grin

@robobo you didn't read carefully. Take:

OODP, the primary shareholder, is initiating a strategic plan to acquire all outstanding shares held by minority stakeholders, offering a scheme consideration that is 58 percent higher than the last traded share price of Oando. This move will lead to the delisting of Oando’s shares from the Nigerian Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Phlinx: 3:09pm On Oct 11, 2023
The Oando bull of the past few weeks is over. Oando is now "falling in line" with the rest of the market.
However, I think the offer of N7.07 for all outstanding shares is no longer feasible there is a new offer already in the works to be proposed by management.
The new offer should be in the region of N12.15.

You can refer to the article below:

kolaish:
We have more than 100 stocks in the NSE. So, no simple reason can be adduced for all stocks. The reason for the movement of one may not be the reason for the movement of the others. Recent Examples:

1. UBA has been moving upward of recent on the back of the release of good earnings, mainly due to government floatation of the naira. Good earnings is moving the price?

2. Oando recently delivered 200% capital appreciation based on speculation.
Speculation moved the price?

Likewise, Dangote Sugar and NASCON because nobody knows the actual price that Dangote foods will eventually be listed.
Speculation is moving the price?

3. Eternal and other oil companies once rallied and gave more than 200% capital appreciation based on new government policy on subsidy.
So policy moved the price?

4. GSK and PZ has delivered more than 100% capital appreciation based on the price for delisting from the market.
The offer price to delist moved the price?

5. Power tussle for the soul of transcorp between Elumelu and Otedola move the price from 100k to 400k.
Otedola didn't move the price from N1.50 to N3.24
The list is endless. So, you can pick a particular stock and talk about it rather than generalize the whole NSE.
Thank you for your extensive response.

But you still haven't gotten the answer to this very important question. You have not been thoughtful of the matter.
