GEJ administration marginalized AND SACKED PEOPLE TO SET OUT HIS TRIBALISTIC AGENDA

Igbo man Ike Nkeremandu, Deputy Senate President

Igbo man Emeka Ihedioha, Deputy Speaker

(Imagine that in a country with 6 geopolitical zones, one occupies the two of the 4 major National Assemby leadership positions!!)

Igbo man Pius Ayim, Secretary to the Federal Government

igbo man Godwin Emefiele is the governor of the central bank of Nigeria

Igbo woman, Finance Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for the Economy

Igbo woman petroluem Minister

Igbo man Nebo, Power Minister

Igbo man Minister of aviation

Printing and Minting - Igbo

HEAD OF DSS -Igbo

MINISTER OF Health - Igbo

Jonathan removed other tribes from head of parastatals and put Igbos there but that would be addressed now. Bureau of statistics was filled up with Igbos.

Even the Hausas/Fulanis in military have never done this above show of shame and pure tribalism. And Igbos were quiet all through that administration cos others were marginalised.
Last time I checked, ITA EKPEYONG is not an Igbo name.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Tuesday upheld the results of the April 11 House of Assembly election in Ilaje Constituency 1 and Ilaje Constituency II in the riverine Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.
With that, he Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates won both seats.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State, Mr Olusegun Agbaje, who disclosed the decision of the commission said it was done in line with the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.

He said though the returning officers for the two constituencies had announced the results in which the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates were winners, the INEC declared the election inconclusive based on the report of the two returning officers that they announced the results of the election under duress despite various anomalies.

Agbaje said the returning officers had reported that there were violent disruption of poll and hijacking of materials which led to cancellation of elections in 47 units in Ilaje 1 Constituency with a total number of 25, 302 registered voters.

He said the figure was more that 5, 894 which is the figure the leading candidate had ahead of the first runner up.

Agbaje also stated that there was disruption and hijacking of materials that led to the cancelation of elections in 26 units in Ilaje II Constituency with a total nuber of 9,879 registered voters and the figure that is more than 5!806 that the leading candidate had ahead of the first runner-up.

The REC declared that despite these various reports the, the commission considered the provision of the Electoral Act and resolved to uphold the results as announced by the returning officers for the two constituencies.

"That since a candidate had been declared and returned as winner of the Ilaje I Constituency in the State House of Assembly Election held on 11th April, 2015 by the Returning Officer, the Commission wuld allow the verdict to stand.

"That since a candidate had been declared and returned as winner of the Ilaje I Constituency in the State House of Assembly Election held on 11th April, 2015 by the Returning Officer, the Commission would also not want to alter the verdict" he said.

Releasing the results as announced by the respective returning officers, the INEC said Akinruntan Babatunde Abayomi of the PDP was the winner of the poll in Ilaje I Constituency.

In a similar manner, the commission declared that Coker Adeniyi Malachi also of the PDP was the winner of the election for Ilaje II Constituency.

The commission thereafter advised those that are not satisfied with the outcome of the election in the two constituencies to seek redress at the appropriate quarters.

With the declaration of INEC, the PDP now has 21 seats in the 26-member Assembly while APC has five.

Owerri is the state capital;
... where is the justice in having all five public universities and polytechnics in Imo state located only around Owerri? Owerri fiercely resisted any governor that suggested relocating even one of the five institutions to another zone in Imo state.

....where is the justice in having advantages to closeness to tertiary institutions reserved to Owerri people alone, as it has been 37 years since Imo state was created?

So allow Orlu zone the single advantage of producing governors for Imo zone every four years.

PoliticsFayose Supporters Lay Siege To Ekiti Assembly. by PhockPhockMan(op): 7:31pm On Apr 21, 2015
There was panic again in Ado Ekiti on Monday as members of the Peoples Democratic Party and supporters of Governor Ayodele Fayose laid siege to the Ekiti State House of Assembly complex in order to halt the resumption of the 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers.

Fayose had announced in a statewide broadcast on Sunday that the lawmakers planned to take over the assembly to commence their impeachment proceedings against him.

He therefore urged transport unions, market women and workers to rise up and protect the mandate they gave him.

Although there were no barricades at entry points to Ado Ekiti city as done in the previous protests, many workers who arrived in their offices at 8am returned to their homes out of fear.

Private and public schools in the state capital failed to reopen for the third term academic session as a result of the development.

The governor’s supporters and the state PDP members who were allegedly mobilised by the caretaker chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas in the state clustered around the assembly complex, watching out for the APC lawmakers.

Security agencies were also seen at the entry points frisking vehicles and passersby.

While the Fayose supporters waited and discussed in clusters, the 25 newly elected PDP House of Assembly lawmakers issued a statement in which they alleged that the personal ambitions of the Speaker, Adewale Omirin, and a Senator, Babafemi Ojudu, were responsible for the aggravation of the political crisis in the state.

They called on the state stakeholders, especially traditional rulers, to prevail on the two lawmakers not to throw the state into chaos because of “their ambition to be acting governor and governor.’’

“Whoever that is interested in the Ekiti State Governorship position should wait till 2018,” the lawmakers-elect said in the statement by Gboyega Aribisogan, Segun Adewumi and Adeniran Alagbada.

But the Special Adviser on Media to Omirin, Wole Olujobi, denied that his boss aimed to become the acting governor of the state.

He also said that it could not have been true that Ojudu collected money from anyone to ensure the impeachment of Fayose in 2006.

“He (Omirin) is the Speaker of the Assembly who must check the governor’s excesses in his flagrant trampling on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Olujobi stated.

Meanwhile, the APC in the state has praised transport union associations in the state for not joining the Fayose supporters and PDP members.

The APC , in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, said, “We praise the drivers and motorcycle operators for their courage and wisdom. Fayose is used to protecting his own interest and keeping his children in safety while he distributes guns to the children of others to foment trouble.

“The day he was first impeached in 2006, he asked his supporters to meet at Fajuyi to confront the soldiers. It was later that his supporters discovered that the governor had bolted to safety while his supporters were tear-gassed with several of them wounded.”

The party explained the matter at hand was not about partisanship but about the abuse of the 1999 Constitution and wondered why Fayose believed he must win through violence.

It added, “He first led thugs to sack the court and beat up a judge while court records in the Chief Judge’s office were torn. The Chief Judge’s secretary was beaten.

“Now, he openly made a live broadcast in the state media inciting his supporters to an act of insurrection by disallowing the lawmakers from doing their lawful duties.

“Even during Sunday service in the church, Fayose, to the shock of everyone, was inciting worshipers to protect the mandate they gave him through violent resistance to the lawmakers. Why must a governor choose violence as a religion?

“He effectively grounded the judiciary and now it is the turn of the parliament. Nigerian democracy is on trial and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is in chains if Fayose can single-handedly cripple these two sacred democratic institutions through violence and he appears winning all the way.”

The party regretted that the governor’s media statement had created panic among parents who kept their children at home on Monday for fear of attacks on their way to schools.

You can't compare the two situations. Sokoto and Nasarawa governors are tolerating their deputy because they're of no consequences.
In Rivers state case, Amaechi would have impeached Tele Ikuru, remember, Rivers state judiciary had been under lock and key for over six months now.
