Why are we just going back nd forth on this issue......im sure putting this as one of their campaign strategies was a collective decision by people who know all these y'all are writing....nt just a one man decision.......they arent as stupid or dumb as we might think......lets give them time to prove they can do it...lets not be pessimistic smiley#my 2kobo on the matter
But it's our responsibility to remind the politicians of their campaign promises and hold them responsible if they fail.
It amounts to disaster if you deceive electorates with impossible promises, this is one of them.

No doubt, the people must hold their government accountable. I sincerely hope they fulfil most of their promises unlike the outgoing government that failed to fulfil most of their campaign promises.
The most difficult one to fulfil will be the social scheme most of the others are easily achievable if the will is there.
Please, list the failed promises here.

PoliticsBREAKING NEWS ; Impeachment: Labour Grounds Ekiti, Banks Shut. Picture. by PhockPhockMan(op): 12:32pm On Apr 18, 2015
Banks in Ado Ekiti were again shut on Friday as organised labour took over the streets to protest against plot to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose by the 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers of the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

The labour unions comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Joint Negotiating Council had on Thursday declared Friday as a work-free day for workers in the state’s civil service to pray for peace in Ekiti. They also declared a six-hour lockdown for public transportation in the state.

But the APC said no matter the number of labour unions engaged to embark on spurious solidarity rallies and blockade of Ekiti roads; it would not stop the lawmakers from performing their constitutional duties as affirmed by the courts.

Commercial vehicles and motorcycles were off the roads between 6.00 am and 12 noon on Friday while private car owners had a hectic time on the roads.

Workers in the state civil service adhered strictly to the stay-at-home order issued to them on Thursday as the secretariat was under lock and key when our correspondent visited the place.

Union members mounted roadblocks to ensure strict compliance with the restriction order on Basiri- Fajuyi-Old Garage- Ajilosun road, and the bank road leading to the state’s secretariat and Assembly complex.

The NLC Secretary in the State, Mr. Ade Obatoye, told journalists that the move to impeach Fayose had triggered restiveness in the state. He urged the lawmakers to allow the people to enjoy the mandate freely given to the governor.

He said, “Though, we agree with Hon. Adewale Omirin that he has the right to fight for his right, but he must wait for the outcome of the suit he instituted against his impeachment. He cannot because of this plunge Ekiti into crisis because he stands impeached until the court rules otherwise.

“The people of Ekiti did not only vote for Fayose, but the Supreme Court, the highest court in the land had also revalidated it. We appeal to the APC to wait for four years when there will be chance to elect another governor and if they can appeal to our people, they can get it back, but not the way they are presently doing.”

Obatoye added, “In an atmosphere of unrest just as we are witnessing now, the citizens will bear the brunt. The will of the people must be allowed to prevail. The loser of an election must allow the winner to enjoy it.

“We beg the lawmakers to allow Fayose to settle for work so that the people can enjoy the dividends of democracy in the areas of infrastructure development. The loser of the Lagos governorship election, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has congratulated Mr. Akin Ambode and this is what we envisaged for Ekiti.

“If actually Omirin and his people knew they were popular, they would not have run away from the state because the people will be ready to defend them. Our advice to them is to embrace peace because we are going to resist any attempt to impeach Fayose.”

Reacting to the blockade of roads leading into Ado-Ekiti by the supporters of the governor, the APC state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, said in a statement that the governor ordered the blockade of the entry points to prevent the APC lawmakers from accessing the Assembly to carry out their legislative duties.

“In this latest show of shame arising from his apprehension about Thursday’s Abuja Federal High Court’s refusal to grant his application to stop the 19 APC lawmakers from impeaching him, he employed the services of the drivers union to cause untold hardship to Ekiti people who were prevented from going about their lawful duties.

“We have now realised that the two-day public holiday he declared in the state for peace is to actualise this evil plan. We have also realised that the man that is supposed to be the state chief security officer is the state chief security risk.

It is so bad that the dead was not spared from this barbaric act as a casket conveying a dead body was forced open by Fayose’s thugs because they suspected it could be Speaker Adewale Omirin who was about to be smuggled into the Assembly.

“A man who claims to be popular does not need to employ the services of thugs and the coercion of all labour unions into embarking on a solidarity rally to prove that he is popular.”

TV/MoviesRe: Yoruba Should Float MORYWOOD by PhockPhockMan: 10:23am On Apr 17, 2015
LAGrejectIBO:
Let me break it down for you.

After the war, the rehabilitation of Ibo was sponsored by Yorubas. Yorubas took great care and self sacrifice, we bent backwards and accomodated Ibos far above the accomodations given to you anywhere else and by any other group.

In essence, when we build a new shopping complex funded by our state, where situation demands that we give 70% of the stalls to propser Yoruba trade and commerce, we gave the 70% to Ibos instead, and we were left to share 30% with other ethnic groups.

When we admit children into schools and is only 200 space available, we reserved 100 or more for the poor people from East.

Everywhere in Yorubaland there were prosperity and people were partying every weekend.

In 1980 Yorubaland, the cost of aso ebi + food + gifts + chair, table and tent rentals + drinks, for one person for just one party already will feed five Ibo families. Thats how much Yorubaland was awash in prosperity. On average, one person attends three parties on Saturday...thats three aso ebi and all the other cost factors times three! This is not adding the cash in pocket that they spray on the dance floor!

So all the costs associated with hosting and attending a single party anywhere in Yorubaland when tallied, is enough to feed an Ibo village for a week or more.

In fact at those parties, guess who were the people lined up and begging for amala? Ibos and their nylon bags. They pack food home and store for feeding their children till next Saturday. They scoop up left over and everything they can find.

So in such a state of enrichment we saw Ibos as a disadvantaged class of people that Yorubas should pity and help advance.

If you go to North, all the Ibo properties abandoned over there in the war are converted to Hausa ownership. The Hausas in turn blocked Ibo from building new houses when they returned after the war, thereby turning them into tenants in houses they abandoned just few months prior. Also when Hausa built shopping complex located within proximity of their city walls, they block access to Ibos, and if the complex is in Sabon Gari they first reserve a high percentage to themselves and give rest to Ibo. Even the percentage of stalls reserved to Hausa they turn around and sub lease to Ibo.

Now, let's go to Port Harcourt. .... After turning Ibos out and confiscating their properties then they subjugated Ibo to third class citizen on their soil.

So everywhere you go in Nigeria, the only people who took Ibo out of their under priviledged social class and tried to push them up to self dependency was Yoruba.

We thank God, today Ibo is self dependent! We the Yorubas can beat our chest and brag on doing a darn great job and a succefful one as is evident on where you are today socially.

We pioneered Nollywood.
We pioneered public media, tv, radio, print.
We pioneered music entertainment
We pioneered city and urban dwelling
We pioneered savings and loans (eesu and ajo)

.....as you can witness, Yorubas are at a point we recognize you are no longer under priviledged or disadvantaged, you are self dependent now.
So guess whathuh Yorubas must now change the social policies to reflect the realities on the ground.

The call for MoryWood is part of that conscience to abandon Ibo and the legacy we created for you in Nollywood so we can focus now on self evolution, bringing the memory of our ancestors and legends to cohabit in our spirit as we trudge on with the rest of humanity waiting to receive and appreciate the contributions from our pioneering culture.

Chew on this!!!
Thrash.
