pls how do you know if ur employer is not syphoning u.how will u put a check on him so as ascertain if he is not doing more job and keeping behind some money without giving full account.since ur not always there to supervise or monitor him.he might make 10k a week and account for only 6k and pocket the rest.so how do u check him.

and at a point given a paper to read. A witness
said it was unclear what he tried to do with the

LAGOS — THERE are strong indications that the strike by polytechnics lecturers, under the
aegis of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, may be called off today, as members
of ASUP’s National Executive Council, NEC, hold an emergency meeting, to appraise the
situation. The polytechnic lecturers have been on strike for the past 80 days. ASUP Chairman, Dr. Chibuzor Asumogba, while speaking to Vanguard, yesterday, said
“there has been a green light on the Consolidated Tertiary Institutions Salary Structure
(CONTISS) 15. “We have strong reason to believe that CONTISS 15 will soon be implemented. But it is at
our National Executive Council (NEC) meeting tomorrow (today) that we will determine
whether or not to call off the strike.” The emergency ASUP NEC meeting, which holds at the Labour House in Abuja, is sequel to
the intervention of the Joint House Committee on Education into the strike. The committee, the Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Rufa’i and his Labour and
Productivity counterpart, Chief Emeka Wogu, had met with the union on July 9, urging
them to call-off the strike. Speaking to News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, earlier in Lagos, Asumogba said “the NEC is
meeting to appraise the progress made so far, following the meeting held with the
committee on education. We have received a green light on the CONTISS 15 and we have
promises here and there on other demands. The committee on education is proactive in
addressing our demands. The committee is highly placed and with its members’ integrity,
we have no doubt that our demands will be addressed.” It would be recalled that ASUP, among other reasons, went on strike citing the failure of
the federal and state governments to implement agreements on issues affecting
polytechnic education. ASUP wants a full implementation of CONTISS 15 and a stop to discrimination against
holders of the Higher National Diploma. The union is also protesting the absence of a National Polytechnics Commission and the
deplorable condition of many polytechnics in Nigeria.

Harpesin: Have u considered this....One thing is to import goods another thing is to market it asap.....I am talking from experience, 2years ago, I imported blackberries into the country, a week after, i discovered d price was falling seriously, also i did not have time to market it cos am working....i have to be begging people to buy and pay by month end which later flopped the business, uptil now some are still owing me, some are even saying they do me favour by buying it or else......bla bla bla....A friend of mine also imported T shirt and she started going about with it to since December 2012, she is yet to sell 200pcs....she is even looking for people who can buy it at cost price just for her to have her money back b4 it will be too late..............I am not discouraging u in anyway but try as much as possible do your market survey well before going into importation......I will suggest you venture into some businesses here in Nigeria that will give you rest of mind....e.g. go to our market and negotiate with palm oil sellers that you are a supplier, negotiate price and i will gist you more on this...or if you have anybody around Akwa ibom, they have a very good palm oil there and very cheap compare to Lagos......All u need to do is to go there and buy and bring it to Lagos....after like 5 trip, u dont need to travel again, just send ur money to the people there and they will send ur goods to you.........there is season for palmoil in Nigeria, you can buy it and keep in your store till the peak period....Palm oil is a kind of commodity we consume on a daily basis.....check the rate and see.........have a gr8 evening.....we can connect for more details.....that is if u think is a good idea....i will only share more light (free of charge)
