There is this thing about Twitter I have been observing for about two weeks.

The event
Each time I open either the app on my phone (Blacberry Q10) or on the laptop (Firefox on Ubuntu), after about 20 minutes, my phone will begin to freeze kind of, and the phone will become very sluggish in executing functions.

Also, on the PC, once the Twitter website is left opened for a while, the system fan (my PC is running on Intel Calpella platform) will increase it's speed and my quiet PC will start making noise.

I am of the opinion that the event is due to the fact that Twitter constantly updates it's news feed but then, Facebook and some other social platforms do same without baking someone's phone or frying somebody's PC.

Also, if Mozilla could behave in such a manner, Chrome wouldn't be an alternative as the resource dependency is greater.

Possible solution
I haven't tried it out yet but, i'll suggest opera browser as an alternative on PC and mobile users may try it out on their mobile browsers (update is on-demand basis, so it should help).

Feelers indicated that Dr. Jeremiah Gado, the candidate of TEKAN/ECWA bloc and alleged government candidate for the CAN presidency, has approached an Abuja High Court for unlawful denial as a candidate in the election. It was learnt that the TEKAN/ECWA candidate was actually looking for an interim injunction to stop the election but the court refused to grant the request. The court instead asked that the parties be put on notice and served to enable them appear before it on Tuesday. A reliable source close to the umbrella body of Christians confirmed the development, saying Gado had approached the court seeking to address his undue denial as a candidate for the presidential election and some other issues
According to the schedule of events, the election of a new President to succeed Oritsejafor is billed for Tuesday by the 309 members of the CAN, NEC. The Electoral College has screened the only two candidates —Rev. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle of the Baptist Convention, who polled eight votes, and Prof. Joseph Otubu of the Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), who scored two votes. According to the Constitution of CAN, the Electoral College, headed by erstwhile Chaplain to two Nigerian presidents and Head, Aso Rock Villa Chapel, Rev. William Okoye, was expected to screen the nominated candidates and recommend two of them for the National Executive Council for election.

Body odor (or B.O., bromhidrosis, osmidrosis or ozochrotia) is a perceived unpleasant smell our bodies can give off when bacteria that live on the skin break down sweat into acids - some say it is the smell of bacteria growing on the body, but it really is the result of bacteria breaking down protein into certain acids.

While sweat itself is virtually odorless, bacteria use it as a breeding ground and multiply rapidly. What you smell is the products related to bacteria breakdown of keratin protein on the surface of your skin. Sounds disgusting, doesn’t it? Chalk it up to an unpleasant fact of life!

While body odor is usually associated with the armpits, bacteria can also produce odor in the groin, anus area, upper thighs, and feet, among other places.

In the vast majority of cases of body odor it is not necessary to see your doctor. The individual himself/herself may be aware of it, or a good friend or a member of the household may tell them about their body odor. Apart from the cbn jobs they created for their own children how many jobs have they created for the teaming unemployed youths?.. The Federal Government of NIgeria, speaking to journalists on Tuesday expressed shock that employers in the financial sector, especially banks were breaching its directives to stop further retrenchment, threatening to withdraw the operating license of any bank or telecommunication company that breached its directive to stop mass sack of workers.
 
The country's Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, while speaking to Nigerian journalists at the ongoing 105th session of the International Labour Congress, ILC, in Geneva, Switzerland,  warned that the government would sanction erring companies because government had a duty to protect jobs in this harsh economy.
 
The Minister was responding to questions on alleged breach of his earlier directive to banks and other financial institutions to stop further retrenchment of workers pending the stakeholders meeting scheduled for next month.
 
The minister, who spoke after his speech to the ILO National Assembly, said:
“We will go a step further if they continue. We know what to do. After all, the banks have the licenses giving by the government. We know what to do. They need to comply. They need to come to the negotiation table. We did (halted the spate of sack to hold a stakeholders meeting) that in the oil industry and we succeeded. Even if you are going to lay off, there is a way to declare redundancy, there is a process. Section 20 of the Labour Act says it. You must call the unions and discuss with them. You don’t just treat them as slaves in their own country and you want us to keep quiet. “We want them to maintain the statusquo. As far as I am the minister of labour, I will protect the interest of workers; same to the telecommunication companies, they are also talking about compiling lists without discussing with anybody.”

 The mass , some people say, can be attributed to the present Foreign Exchange policy difficulties been faced by such companies and this has even caused some foreign companies to withdraw their services.
 
So i'll implore the government to stop threatening the companies but rather, they should have a dialogue together and look for a way out

Microsoft’s Research division has developed a new artificial intelligence system that can automatically generate stories using your photos, trying not only to explain what exactly is happening in the pictures but also to detail the context and people’s feelings.

The process of developing storytelling capabilities for photos is based on AI systems that can identify objects after learning by example, as LiveScienceexplains. The researchers first configured the systems to analyze a series of similar images and then look online to identify more objects that fall in the same category.

Furthermore, the Microsoft Research team turned to the Amazon Mechanical Turk, a service where people describe scenes of a batch of photos, thus having the AI systems learn them and then generate new ones by matching different pictures with different descriptions.

Take a situation like this for instance:

"This is a picture of a family; this is a picture of a cake; this is a picture of a dog; this is a picture of a beach”

The A.I will make it into a more story-like description like this:

“The family got together for a cookout; they had a lot of delicious food; the dog was happy to be there; they had a great time on the beach; they even had a swim in the water.”

For the moment, however, these are just the first stages of the new tech, so it takes a little bit longer until it improves, as researchers have already found issues that they need to deal with before it can go mainstream.

World Health Organization officials on Friday cautioned that "many thousands" of infants infected with Zika virus could suffer neurological abnormalities and said nations dealing with an outbreak need to watch for problems beyond the widely reported cases of microcephaly.

These include spasticity, seizures, irritability, feeding difficulties, eyesight problems and evidence of severe brain abnormalities.

Health officials had previously concluded that Zika infection in pregnant women was a cause of microcephaly in babies, a rare birth defect characterized by unusually small heads and potentially severe developmental problems. They now believe the range of potential neurological problems in infants could be much wider.
