ronald4lif: Okay, so who among the kids inherit their mum's property? It's her choice, most choose to cheer it among all their kids. |

ronald4lif: Gotta agree but is what obtainable in your hometown any different? It is, women even inherit from their fathers. I am from a state in Niger-Delta where a first child regardless of gender is entitled to a large chunk of either parent inheritance. Women own properties where I come from. |

JoeCutie: What the hell are you saying? So Nigerian women ain't worth it? And Nigerian men are the ones that are worth it, huh? This is a very appalling and stale mentality that has eaten deep into the fabrics of our culture, and it's so so sickening. Like...very uncalled for and quite unbecoming of a 21st century civilized man. Tell me what the women of Nigeria do that the men do not do even more? #DoubleStandard
This very uncompromising generalization of our women is stale already. Let's talk about something else! #DoubleStandard in our society is silly. The man you are responding to probably has a string of gfs if he is not married, and multiple concubines if he is, but to him this is normal because he is a man. He is forgetting that some other men like him will also feel entitled to such and in the process chase some of his chicks too. |
Everyday seem to be a struggle.. Just 19 and already living like a 30 year old man. Forced to grow up, no chance for youthful exuberance. The person that calls himself my father said am a mistake.. He has never contributed anything to my life.. Never paid my school fees one day! All he says is ''I was 17 when I started making it in life, I didn't have a father to help me..'' This man said I should forget about going to the university and find a way to travel out that's impossible to make it here. I work like there's no tomorrow.. From Monday to Sunday! I recently stopped going to church cus I think the people there are all hypocrites! Though I love Jesus cus I think He's the only one I've got. I pray sometimes for Him to take my life.. I don't see the point living. I've got no talents, am good at nothing. I don't see the usefulness of life. I don't have friends.. I don't have a family.. I have nothing and nobody! And I don't think I need any of it. Earth stinks!
Youthful exuberance, why will you want that anyways?

ideyhere: My elder sister is scheduled to get married in a couple of weeks. Initially I was quite ecstatic with the whole news and arrangements and all. One day she was to visit the husband in their family house and we packed her bags and all. The guy came and after staying and all, he now said (in his exact words) LET US GO TO OUR HOUSE. That was when it dawned on me that she now had another house. That realization really gave me the chills I must confess. The other day she still had to go spend some time in their family house, even without the guy being around...and she was very happy about it. I began to wonder how she could be happy leaving us that she had always known as family to this newly found family of hers. Wedding preparations are at its peak now...and seeing as I really don't have money to support them (just straight out of school), I felt the much I could offer are ideas. My sister keeps complaining that I only pitch in ideas that are worth so much naira...that do I want them to go broke after the wedding. I just want her to have the best...and with the way she's sounding, I started feeling like she's already seeing me as the outsider...choosing him over me. Unconsciously I developed a grudge against the guy, after all if he hadn't come into the picture, we wouldn't be planning any wedding, and things would still be as they were...perfect. Am I an insanely wicked person for feeling this way? Or is this a perfectly normal feeling?? Something that will disappear with time You're not wicked, this is quite normal if you two were close. Realize that your relationship with your sister may never be the same again, it all depends on how you both handle it. Give her some space, she will be the one looking for you again to discurse in-law palava |

ronald4lif: Don't know about Imo but in my hometown in Anambra the last male-child is the one who inherits the property and every acquisition of their mum. I'm guessing it should be same in Imo as Igbos have a common tradition in many visages. This culture is anti-women sha. The first male inherits all the father's property, the last male inherit all the mother's property obviously your culture doesn't value females @ all. |
What? Men are the ones who work and build society/civilization.. that's hard work. Men work and grind to try and at least get a female's attention. And even today, men are the ones who have to look great aesthetically to even get any play from females. Black males have this struggle especially since we are hated worldwide and because most black females are vain and shallow. Also about keeping yourself attractive, most guys aren't even that picky, so even if you're a fat woman, you can still catch a guy whereas a short man or a physically deficient man has no chance at all. Some females can literally suck and mess their way to stardom and financial prosperity while most if not all men have to grind and get by on their merits. So you have to be delusional if you think females have it harder than men.[/q
When you say black women are vain and shallow, remember you have a mother and sister. Think twice before you spew filth |
