1. - yes, we do.
2- the type opposition should play a greater role midfield selection process IMO.
A few weeks ago, the answer to this question would have easily been herrera and blind in a double pivot but with carrick looking like his old Self and fellaini showing us the benefits of physicality. I'll settle for a midfield diamond with carrick at the base, and blind/herrera on both sides and rooney/di maria at the tip and a front two of any two of dimaria, rooney, falcao and rvp
..........Carrick..........
Herrera...............Blind......... .....Rooney/Dimaria..... Falcao/RVP ... Rooney/Dimaria.
Fellaini can come in when we truly need physicality. |

SailorXY: there's no way Anderson can be poorer than Fletcher. the reason he's been totally ostracized yet trains with the first team, is still an unrivalled mystery!
*edit* LvG clears the air though hehehehehe chai
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been speaking about Brazilian midfielder Anderson.
The former FC Porto player has barely featured for the Dutchman since he took charge in the summer, and in quotes published by the Sunday People van Gaal revealed why.
“I cannot judge him but when he trains he trains at a good level,” the United boss said. “He’s not always fit, and that is more his problem now.
“I wouldn’t pick him yet because you have to be fit. Being fit to play is the smallest thing you can demand as a trainer.” . Just imagine. Should giggs resume training Today, he'll would be fitter than anderson in less than 5 days. *Spits |

I spent days arguing about his nani-like tendencies (consistency ish) when large sums in the range of 70-80 million pounds were being quoted for him by the media.
Whenever u see him blowing hot and cold, do not be surprised. No be today e start.
The quality he possesses is not in question. But the issue is and has always been how frequently are we Going to enjoy these qualities.

Falcao clarifies injury situation
Manchester United loan star Radamel Falcao has rubbished recent media reports that he is struggling to regain full fitness due to a serious knee injury that he sustained in January while playing for parent club Monaco.
The deadline day signing has missed the Reds' last three Barclays Premier League matches after suffering a calf injury in training. During this time, several news agencies ran unfounded stories that have openly questioned his physical condition.
While speaking to MUTV at the Aon Training Complex on Thursday afternoon, United's no.9 was keen to provide an update on his fitness and quash the "falsehoods" that have been written about him.
“I am getting better, I feel well and I hope to come back to the pitch soon,” Radamel explained. “It is disappointing that I can’t play but I have to be calm and recover because that is important to help the team when I return to the games."
Quizzed on the media reports about his knee, he continued: “It is a bit frustrating. Well, it is more than frustrating actually and it detracts from the credibility of the media that there is so much speculation and that so many falsehoods have been written about it.
"I think with an audience of so many millions of people, it is not right. I did take a small injury to my calf, which is something that I need to be careful with, but there are a lot of stories circulating that are pure speculation.” http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2014/Nov/Radamel-Falcao-addresses-injury-rumours.aspx that fire in his belly is the thing I like most about thiis falcao. Its a good thing the hate and doubts are coming from all rivals. It'll only increase his motivation to keep'em all shut at the end of the day. |

AirborneLacer: You're the most useless son of a whöre this forum has ever produced.
If you ever run those derogatory words at me, I would make sure you hate your sorry self today.
Are you all Manyoo fans this deluded?
At the early stages of last season, Arsenal were on top of the league. Everyone was of the opinion that they've finally gotten it right and this was their season, they were in good form and were regarded as title chasers based on their form then. We all know how the story ended, they were dispatched from the top and left tussling it out for the fourth spot.
Southampton have mounted a serious title challenge so far and just like Arsenal of last season, they could falter and get dispatched, but until that happens, give them the credit they deserve.
And who said the league is won after 10-15 games? Which of my assertions supports such deluded lame line?
And next time, learn to read through the lines before quoting me, the M0r0n is keeping the comedy up. Nice one |

AirborneLacer: Just yesterday I asserted that Manyoo fans knows how to do a great disservice to objectivity, here again, I'm being proven right.
What do you call a team that has managed to rack up 10 wins in their last 11 games, are sitting firmly in second place, are sharing same goal difference with the league leaders and are only 4points adrift of the league leaders?
Relegation candidates?
They've mounted a serious title challenge and deserves to be branded title chasers, until they stop doing so.
Whether they're going to get leapfrogged by another team in the not-too-distant future is a debate for another day, whether they're going to take foot off the gas is still a debate for another day, the fact is that at the moment, they're vying for the title.
I wonder how you lot think here, it's quite embarassing. My goodneSs The dumbfuck kEeps making a foool of himself Is the league won after 10-15 games? Do people call league races marathons for nothing? Anyway keep trying to defend the dumb statement. You are providing me with quality comedy |

Dadehmola: No, they are not..
And how exactly have we noticed changes in this regard?? Are you telling me Rooney deserved to have stayed on the pitch for 90mins in all the games he has featured in this season?
LVG has said that Rooney will always enjoy certain privileges as the captain ( privileges RVP didn't enjoy as captain of the dutch side). What was the smoking gun to that effect? Rooney who is a shyty CF (LVG's words) was shifted back into the same hole in which we all agree will never be his best position. When he fûcks up there again, he prolly will be drafted to LB or CB...afterall his captain must always play, which means that there must always be a starting role for Rooney, irrespective of his unsuitability to whatever role it is..
As regards the captaincy issue, I'd rather he made Rvp captain... Atleast he was "substitutable" at the worldcup. Forget that preseason hogwash - if both Rooney and RvP had to go on extended breaks, what would have happened? has rooney underperformed this season? Rvp was never a more qualified candidate for that captaincy |

* Just a general question. Why has Moyes not taken another appointment? The guy no wan coach again? Let's see what he can do in a new club. offer no go come first? Or does he have the right to walk into management in any club of his choice? |

Dadehmola: You seem to be deliberately ignoring one part. Like Gustavo pointed out - If moyes was licking rooney's àrse, ( like the media said last season) what is LVG doing at the moment? common! You know the scenarios are faar from the same. What prompted the rooney worship claims? Was it not after he kept sticking him the hole despite consistent shyte performances, and refusal to substitute him during games, no matter how useless he was? When there was a certain shinji (who hadn't been given a fair chance to prove himself) on the bench. How exactly is LVG arrsse-licking rooney? By making him his captain? was there a better candidate, if yes I'd like to hear it from u! Has rooney been shyte this season? Be honest with yourself. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw people criticizing him after the manchester derby when he was clearly one of our better performers on the day. Or would u rather he replaced rooney with matat(who is looking more and more like a fraud as the season progresses) ? |

Nihilist: So Van Gaal doesn't have bizzare tactics? From playing a 3-5-2 that lost 4-0 to MK Dons to Pushing Rooney further and further in to central midfield, to playing a suicidal high line against the rapid attackers of Man City...I can give you more if you want are u kidding me? what's bizzare about 352 He excelled at the world cup with it Juve destroys everyone in the seria a with it The loss to mk dons was as a result of the selected players and nothing to do with the formation. So what other option was left for him as regards the rooney issue giving the situation on ground Push him forward to be RVP's partner when we were a man down? And the 'suicidal Highline' was the reason we lost? Right? Charisma and Pedigree? What Charisma does Van Gaal have? He sits down scribbling notes all game. Then he comes out and says "Judge me after 3 months". Then he comes out and says "It was very stu pid to say three months because then the media are only talking about three months.". And how has his pedigree improved your team's fortunes? so until a manager begins to stand up and be overly dramatic like Jose before u can conclude that he has charisma? Watch his Body language throughout games and compare it with that of moyes and tell me u can see a huge difference Don't even get me started on their press conferences. Van Gaal famously never gets on with his players and staff anyway, so I'm surprised you're talking about man-management. Man Management? Hahahaha. Everywhere he has gone he has left on bad terms with coaching staff, players, board and even the fans. Someone who was once described as a football hitler by one of his own players, is the one you're given props for man management. and you will still find a lot of his ex players 'worshipping' him and the influence he had in their careers Every team huh? I bet the dutch national team, and fans hate him too because he also left them in acrimonious circumstamce. Jose that has been praised to be a good man manager fell out with every one at madrid. Summary of everything, he's keeping the squad happy and all the players are happy to play for him and they believe in him. That's good enough man management for me. All Van Gaal really has going for him is his reputation, and many Manyoo fans like yourself are simply unwillingly to believe that someone with his reputation might not actually be up to the task.
Van Gaal's reputation has bought him a free ride. Any other manager would be in trouble by now. when Rival fans fail to see the improvements in the team, I usually don't bother myself about it. I don't expect u to Only avid followers would. Before the end of the season we would know if he is not upto the task at hand as u claim or not. |

Dadehmola: I want the media to point out the same mistakes moyes was criticized for - some of which LVG seems to be making.. That's one of the benefits of having a good pedigree -this isn't LVG's first big appointment. It was moyes' first -this isn't the first time LVG is trying to rebuild a squad. He has tried it before, he has had bad starts and he has overcome them. So u can forgive anyone who has chosen to give LVG the benefit of the doubt. The journalists too have reputations They know the likelihood of LVG coming out successful is high They too are seeing the positive signs They don't want it to be a feast of eaten words at the end of the day. Can't say the same for moyes. Should LVG continue to struggle for a period longer than necessary, and it begins to seem as if he won't make it, then he will feel the wrath of the media. |

elampiro: We see things differently. I think Moyes only looked to be a mistake from hindsight.
In fairness to Moyes, our team was already aged before he took over. Even though we won the league easily before he arrived, our play had been deteriorating since 2011. We were hardly dominating games and only winning slim in 2012/13.
I don't agree that Gaal is struggling because the confidence of the players has been rocked. He was supposed to turn it around. We saw that when AVB was sacked at Tottenham. But sometimes, you can only pretend to dress a decay with some false initial impression, after some time the decay return. This is what happened at Tottenham, and our preseason. Even Martinez that was being used to benchmark Moyes, is struggling. wrong wrong wrong. Some peeps here kicked against moyes' appointment from the outset. Admittedly I wasn't one of them. Infact I was a very staunch defender of moyes My line of argument was always to Give him time before finally arriving at any sort of conclusion. This was after people had written him off even before he started and a few games into the season. It didn't take long before it became clear to me that he was a very big mistake. The newcastle and fulham games in particular were the final straw for me and the season was ongoing. Saying he's looking to be a mistake from hindsight is very wrong. Very very. I have never been a fan of the martinez hype. What I always say is to wait and see if he can sustain everton the way moyes did while having to cope with constant loss of key players, low budget and rich competitors Again, only time will tell. |

StarBoard: How anyone is making a case for Moyes is beyond preposterous.
Last year we went into the Manchester derby and lost like lambs being led to the slaughter even with the full complement of 11 men. If Rooney didn't score from a free kick we would have been totally outclassed. Last year in the derby Aguero almost had a hat trick. A year later, we gave them a scare and lost by a goal that came after a red card and an injury to both our center backs.
On the basis of the Manchester derby there is improvement from where Moyes left us and that's just one aspect of the very many others. |

Yes, moyes was clueless and out of depths and I would definitely choose LVG over him anytime anyday. The injury and "blending" issues that are easy to pin point as the root cause of our problems this season but heck - we've had some totally unacceptable results so far and i believe the manager should take full responsibility so in essence, you want the media to give LVG the moyes treatment? |
