Lol. No worry. I believe say we go win this one
the odds are against us here man.
Stamford Bridge has been a boogey ground for us for a while now.
2 wins in the last 15 there, and they were reduced to 9 men in one of them.
That plus our very tight schedule.
So Suffre believe.

If the match were to hold at old Trafford, I would have been a thousand percent more confident.
But as it stands now, eliminating those cúnts won't be easy at all

So you think Kagawa10 is even making sense? Then you need to check yourself.

Kagawa10 said Di Maria was benched at the beginning of the season. When I proved him wrong, he said it was when Kheidera injured that Di Maria was used. Then I showed him Di Maria and Kheidera played together, then he brought the issue of Bale.

This was Di Maria who played when Modric was benched. Di Maria was selected in big UCL fixtures in group games and the knockout stages.
the fact is he was not all that good in his last season, the late season surge that culminated in the motm at the world Cup is what is making everything look good.
There's no new point to make about di Maria that I haven't already made many months ago.
You have fun with Mr kagawaw

TheGoodJoe:

You are not sure if they will bench at Newcastle. However, that was my point this whole time. With lots English teams favoring a deep line set up, it is easier for their defenders to look good. Just like Terry. He is one of the best defenders in the history of the EPL. However, when Villas-Boas put him in a high line set up, he looked worse than an average player.

Although, Newcastle is exempted because of Benitez.
So defenders that can defend high should be rated first before those that excel In deeper systems?
Didn't some defenders in that Chelsea team perform better than Terry In that high defensive line?
Will anyone Rate them more than Terry because of that?
The idea that deep defending Is easy and hence performances there should be taken with a pinch of salt is something I see too often these days and its not entirely true.

Both have their pros and cons
For instance
Defending deep leaves almost no recovery time when an error Is made while for high line, there is almost always the opportunity to recover as long as you have pace, that's why defenders without pace tend to look below par in it.

So the idea that a defender than can perform in high lines Is better than his counterpart because of that Is not the most accurate idea to peddle

We can judge the quality of talents by looking at some of the recent defensive talents of Belgium to England.

Kompany, Alderweireld, Vertonghen to Cahill, Jones and Smalling.
not many enough to arrive at that conclusion.
If the Belgian League were full of Vertonghens and Alderweirelds I'm sure scouts of better leagues would be recruiting them in their droves every transfer window.
I'm sure the people benching Ekong won't be good enough to start for Newcastle

I was making an Illustration of the limited ability of English players. My remark was in reference to the repping of Championship defenders to our defenders. Most importantly, the discussion was about Ekong.

I believe from what I saw in games of Ekong that he is better than many defenders in the championship
and I used the limited abilities in holding the ball of Jones and Smalling who still play for one of the biggest clubs in the World to illustrate this.

Jones and Smalling are very limited but they play for Manchester United. So are players who are worse than Ekong playing in clubs in the EPL and the Championship. This is due to the hinging on huff and puff football as the English way.
I haven't really seen this ekong guy so there's a limit to which I can argue for or against him but if you are undulating between being shipped on loan to Norway by a Belgian club and failing to command a regular shirt, something has to be wrong somewhere.
Are majority of the defenders in the Belgian League better than championship defenders too?

Watched Jones drift into midfield lots of games and watched him play in defensive midfield. However, he is very limited and does not have footballing abilities close to the likes of other quality defenders. He is not close to even Bailly, Rojo and Blind. Let alone Vertonghen, Alderweireld or Vermaelen.

He is limited.
no need to push this. Your assertion that Jones cannot play in the high line is wrong.
You were also trying to say Jones abilities as a defender is not befitting of someone that should be playing at a top club, which is also wrong.
Again Jones Ball playing skills may not be at the level of those guys, but it's there and at an acceptable level. You don't get to play in midfield as a defender if you are useless on the ball.

Jones at 19 or so was man marking Ronaldo out of the game.
And lastly no Nigerian defender right now is at the level jones was as far as 3/4 years ago even.

Do not in your bid to patronize Nigerian defenders try to rub their superiors in the mud

Smalling and Jones are in no way to quality midfielders. Their success and reign can only stay in the EPL, where kick and push is the other of the day. You can not find these type of players in teams that express themselves during play. Can you see Jones and Smalling playing in teams like Juventus and Roma? These guys will not thrive in a high line pattern. Just defend. That makes it easy to push this kind of players.

How many English defenders today do you know can hold the ball like Stones? Meanwhile, Stones is not up there with some of the best in the game today. So, it is easier to drop a quality defending talent and push the likes Stones but difficult to push the many quality defending talents in Nigeria.

It is harder. Then add the English work permit rule to that.

I am talking of English clubs. Not top clubs. Very hard for most English defenders to become stars at Barcelona but Evans kept Pique on the bench at Manchester United.
cheesy
Smallling and Jones are different kind of defenders. While what you just said may be true for Smallling, it Is not for Jones.
Jones is not a ball shy defender, and has played in midfield several times, plus he's not slow..
There's absolutely no reason to suggest he will fail in a team like Roma.. lol or high defensive line system
