afrodoc2: Bailly has more pace than Smalling. What Smalling has as an advantage is his height which he has started using in a more effective manner. However in terms of pace, passing and quality on the ball Bailly is his master. Smalling is our worst defender in terms of passing and quality on the ball, i remember when i said this some were protesting. if I remember correctly, the argument wasn't that he wasn't the worst person in terms of passing and quality on the ball, it was that there were visible improvements in these areas under van Gaal, compared to the previous season. He seems to have regressed a bit but not to the level he was pre van Gaal. In terms of on ball confidence that is. You are sure bailly has more pace than Smalling? Smalling Is sha quick, and I've not noticed bailly to be faster yet but I'll be more observant henceforth. |

Baily has almost everything that Smallling has, pace (maybe a little less), height, strength and is more athletic and aggressive and more importantly, doesn't play like he's scared of his shadow when on the ball.
The preference is still jones Rojo centrally, but if Rojo is to be moved to LB, Baily and has to be the one to step in |

SIRcumalot: Selling van aaholt can't be Moyes decision. The sunderland board don give up them even they float Defoe name to see who go buy. I find this hard to believe Tbh, except there's a relegation clause they could still have sold tg with guy for around the same amount after relegating. Even then to say the board has given up on Sunderland in January still looks a bit far fetched. |

BushWickBill: You get time to dey monitor that guy.
Then RuuDie will explain to us how he should still be united manager and how Sunderland will make top 6.
The guy is just dire. How he still manages to snap up top jobs makes me wonder how nepotism for jand dey rival our own for naija. and I no even add anichebe and pinear.. Moyes can be bizarre sha.. I have nothing against the man and I'm still a well wisher but he too dey fall hand The trust for British managers continues to fall and fall. They cannot get a chance with even bottom epl teams again these these days and Moyes is making matters worse See what they hull city manager is doing at that club when Phelan was making it seem like it was a hopeless situation there. Very soon the influx will spread to even championship. Even our brother giggs.. Nobody dey reason the guy matter. |

Oasis007: Hi everyone,
We’re starting a special week. A different one, for we have two games but neither of them is a Premier League fixture. We have the EFL Cup first, and then the FA Cup. Two different challenges that we face with the same goal in our minds: winning both of them.
I look back and I see that we’ve been undefeated for 17 consecutive games. Most of them have been good wins that made us happy, although we’ve also got several draws that were not so easy to take.
It happened on Saturday at Stoke, where we added one point at the end thanks to a great free-kick goal from Wayne Rooney. I want to congratulate Wayne once again. He’s become the top goalscorer in the history of the club and I’m so happy for him. I’m sure that he will keep scoring many more goals and improving his amazing stats.
However, the game left me with a bitter taste. Firstly, we didn’t win. We created chances to get the three points and it makes us mad to see that the ball just doesn’t go in. It’s especially frustrating when you are so unlucky as to score an own goal, when you’re trying precisely to avoid that.
Personally, I don’t remember when was the last time that I scored an own goal; in fact I believe this is the first one. I know it goes with the territory but when it happens to you it hurts. Anyway, this is football and, as always, we have to stay determined and motivated, and carry on.
I’m signing off now. Thank you very much for all the loving messages that you have sent to me, especially after Saturday’s game. Have a nice week.
Hugs,
Juan can this guy Stfu already

Ibime: What was Rauls greatest strength?
Some players are not easily detectable by the eyes. No one watches football to follow off the ball movement, but 90% of work is done off the ball. despite all the off ball movement, he's still not renowned for his work rate. having the best off ball movement would still require other people to make things happen for you most of the time, meaning your game sometimes can be overly dependent on others. Anyhow, I'm not a big fan of his. Maybe one day when I get to know more of what he's all about. What even is his preferred position on the pitch? raumdeuter: What is Rooney's strenght?
Muller 10 world cup goals Rooney 1
Muller 38 CL goals Rooney 30
Yet Muller is 4yrs younger than Fatso
These are both players records in top competitions and not local league. sigh. We've been through this before and I have no intention of doing it again, so Egbon no vex

RooRuudRonSaha: Man united's most hated player has saved the fraudulent one again. United have failed to beat stoke in an EPL season for the first time in years(A good record by Mourinho). United have spent like 12 weeks stuck on 6th. Mourinho has the positives, United are now the old stoke. Kagawa10: Still better than Herrera, Mkhi and Mata!

afrodoc2: Yes he also plays in attacking midfield but will JM view him as a decent and similar enough sub for Pogba? His best bet is to reinvent himself once more and come back to compete for Herrera's position.I personally like him too and would like him and Adnan to come back and make one last attempt to make the squad, just not sure JM is that kind of manager. exactly, or even Carrick, if thats not too far fetched. I just hope he hangs around the squad next season and hopefully takes his chances when/if they arrive or at least go on another loan to a decent premiership club that will play him |
