Wildchild1 i saw u in d interview (2015). U resumed late nd dat was were ya issue started from... Except maybe its not u..
But its not true they couldnt withstand the training.. They told u the wrong info. 21 people were screened out because after 2 people die in space of 1 week another test need to b conducted.
It was then discovered dat some cadet hv medical issues. Some hrt problem, some kidney issues, some HBP, some certificate issues. Some hard drugs issues. So they were sent home nd replaced with 12 new people dat passed d interview but werent shortlisted

It can come out at any time. Jan, Feb, or March. Just keep yaself busy wit sometin else.

The Answer sheet u guys use for the Exam belong to the the Nigerian Airforce, Navy dont hv an automated marking Machine yet. So ya Answer sheet will b wit d Airforce until they are done marking it.
The result nd d sheet will then b send back to Navy HQ for review and processing. Successful candidate will then b shortlisted. So its a fair Recruitment. All d best

Oga Tenderlaw, thanks for being there always but I need your help.I want to know, towards when will the list of succeful candidates be out?....sir, am asking so as to know how soon I should start tidying up myself and also to start asking for permission at my current place of work in preparation. I wouldn't want to do that now since am not sure of pd period when the list will be out, am sure you understand me more than I have explained. Nobody knows for now cos the scripts is still under cross examination wit Airforce. Navy will still cross check it.
Two weeks to Interview the result will b out..

I believe they will shortlist based on corp and state. if they want more Doctors, why shortlist more engineers simply because they scored high.

Those who scored high in their respective fields, then sort them state by state and not just to shortlist highest scoring applicant.

Concentrate on ya state first.. U have to do better dan people in ya state. The course is not a problem until during Interview...
During the interview u then need to concentrate on Medicals nd Course of study.

10-15years. U hv different opportunity to convert. Only if u wish not to convert that u will b retire. Convertion board is not sumtin u should b scare of. No Oga at d top is needed.
If u meet d requirement u will b converted.

From what I heard it's 15 years for dssc if you don't covert... But if you do, one would retire at the normal retirement age or years of service..

I dont know wat u wanna hear. But d other guy hv said it all. As a dssc(Direct Short Service Commission) in Navy u might want to convert to DRC(Direct Regular Commission). DSSC as d name imply is a DIRECT SHORT course lasting 15years.. If u didnt convert it is assume u dont want to continue in d Service again. Most Medical Hands do this.
But if u want to continue till the 35years of Service then u hv to convert. There is usually a convertion board set-up to approval Dssc officers converting to DRC. Its a normal process no Godfather is needed, u just hv to b fit datz all. After 3years of joining u are eligible for convertion board. This wouldnt stop ya promotion.

Remember there are other people wu are above 1.7 and every other creteria is complete too. Meaning they are more qualify than u. How will u feel if they drop those 1s nd pick u?
They are looking for every means to reduce people.
But u might b lucky cos we hv people wu are less dan 1.7 and are still in d Service..

Please how is the elimination process going to be? Is it that people are being eliminated on failing any stage?As in if someone fails ratrace he is sent home and will not participate in the medical tests OR everyone is allowed to participate in all exercises then the shortlist.

Please I'm just asking.

Nobody will tell u anytin either u are eliminated or not. Ya conscience will prick u once u Bleep up maybe u dont hv relevant certificate. Only Medicals will b announce so that those that are eliminated wouldnt run d Edurance race.

Lt 4years to lt-Cdr (there are plans to change to 5yrs but not approve yet)

Lt-Cdr to Commander 4years(But u can only b promoted if u pass CAPEX Exam) Wen u join d Navy u will know d meaning of CAPEX

Commander to Captain 4years

Captain to Commodore 5Years

Commodore to Rear Admiral 4years

Real Admiral to Vice Admiral(CNS) to Admiral(CDS) are political appointment.

Admiral of the Fleet(5 stars General) Nobody have that appointment in Africa. Its a Rear 1. Its reserve for the very best Admirals wi guide there country to world and back successfully.

Remember Promotion in Military is like a Pyramid, from d bottom its Large but the Too is Small. Along d line some people will not b promoted for 1 or more reason.

If u have a steady promotion after 26 year time u will b a rear admiral which is rare.

Its still 4 years for now.. Even if its 5 years(Its for only Sub-Lt and Lt. The rest is normal 4/3 years promotion. If ya promotion is normal u will reach d height in normal time..

In Dssc23 some people were dismissed on medical ground after resumption of training and some people were called to replace them. People dat hv forgotten about the Navy already nd are going about dere normal activities. And u said no merit? Weldone..

The truth about Navy DSSC is that it's rear for them to screen applicant on merit so if you don't have any body in Abuja to help you, please pray heard. The only arm of the Armed Forces of Nigeria where merit is used to some large extent is the "Army" and even this is for their "Short service combatant course" as their DSSC enlistment is to a large extent "not based on merit".

Some of u will just pop Up here and say rubbish thinking u are right..
Navy recruitment is more Transparent than the Army and Airforce... Dont come here and discourage anybody.
During DSSC23 recruitment more that 75% of the main list got it on Merit. The guy that came first in d Rat Race during DSsc23 is here on Nairaland #SirAleeeyu. His name came out without any help. He is from Sokoto. We hv #Lolukeyz is also a member here nd his name came out... Im also a witness to it.. I can keep calling names u know.. Some of u will Bleep up and say the Navy Bleep u up

From ya state if 40 people score more than 75 do u think they will pick u?
Concentrate on ya state, thatz were ur problem is.. In Kebbi State d highest can b 55 and in Ogun d highest will b 90. So it depend on ya state people performance.

Oga Tenderlaw nd I told u guys that Gmat will b better and i specifically told those i chatted wit on facebook that its 2016 Gmat and d Maths will b dere. The Past Questions will only guide u on how d Questions will look like. For those of u that Wrote the Exam may God Crown ya effort wit Success..

There are applicant wu hv 2:2 hv passed the aptitude test and interview well. His name came out on s final list. God can do all tins. Just pray well.

The will take up to 5 per state or more this time around. They took 72 per state for the Trainee recruitment this year.
