1.it was there first date.
2.they already agreed that is the both of them going to watch the movie, so y did she call back to tell him her friends r coming, don't they know the way.
3.she is making a fuse about how cheap the money is yet she n her friends couldn't over look it.
4.if he didn't act that way, she will do it another time.

she probably don't know what a first date means then

meaning of a date:

TWO people getting together for an activity when the possibility of romance between them has been broached but not ruled out. Since the exploration of romance is the purpose of a date, merely asking someone out on a date is sufficient to broach the subject. Dates may or not continue once a couple have entered into a romantic relationship. The word "date" may be used to identify a get together between two people not romantically involved, but this usage is meant to convey irony, since such a meeting is not a date in the true sense of the word.
Yeah, Mike and I went on a date last night. He's cute, but I'm not sure if I want to get involved with him or not.

LADIES TAKE NOTE INCASE OF NEXT TIME, SO YOU DON'T INVITE A THIRD PART OR CROWD tongue

Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal: A Good Decision Taken Too Late by pimpo: 2:18pm On May 13, 2016
PROPHETmichael:

When GEJ removed subsidy in 2012 and suggested that the price of PMS will go up to N120, some people organised occupy Nigeria. Four years down the line, Buhari is repeating the very same thing with higher scourge of proposed N145 per litre and no one is talking. I am happy we have learnt the hard way to think before opposing policies.
However, I have a concern here. Why must this govt tell lies to Nigerians? I have said it over and over again that you cannot remove subsidy and have official price. Petrol is not different from egusi or rice marketing. You can only have official price if you regulate the price of production and wholesale price. If you do not, then it is to whom it may concern.
What subsidy does is to equalise cost and defray excesses on the part of marketers and make it feasible for them to profitably sell the commodity at the same price. If you remove subsidy, you must remove official pump price because you cannot equalise the cost with mouth. people import petrol from all over the world giving rice to differences in landing prices due to freight costs, distances etc.
We must complete the truth and stop playing politics with numbers. People should be told that they are on their own. If you pull up in a garage forecourt, take a glance on the price, if what is there, or what the pump attendant tells you is the price is OK by you, fill up and go your way, if not, go to another station. This is how we buy everything in Nigeria and all over the world. Enough of politics of numbers.

Excellent!!

Masquerades is inherent part of our culture.
It is so popular that During festive season in the East, No other events attracts crowds more than Masquerade festival. Every home that is usually filled with people during festive period is empty because everyone has gone to watch masquerades.
There is no way the potential of our tourism will be exhaustively tapped without masquerades.
It is all about how do we package it to the world.
Egypt has 12% of their workforce in Tourism
Tunisia has about 8%
Lai Muhammad is the Minister of Culture and Tourism and people are laughing because he was making suggestion on how to generate employment through Tourism.

Career / Re: Masters Or Stay On Job? by pimpo: 5:12pm On May 03, 2016
bicmitchum:
This is a point in my life where I really need other opinions about my pending decision.
Here are the points:

-I graduated first class some years ago after completing studies at the University of Lagos
-Secured numerous masters admission with and without scholarship and intended to go for masters immediately, but got an attractive job offer with an oil multinational. Took the job offer.
-I've worked now about 4+ years with this multinational and the going has been incredibly terrific. Even with the incredible layoffs in my company and in the oil industry, it looks very likely I'll continue to keep my job.
-Every year I have continued to apply for masters in universities abroad given my intention to really acquire a masters and possibly a PhD degree. Never once accepted any of the offers I have been getting. Simply ignored them. As the years rolled by, the offers are no longer coming as usual. I'm getting turned down by schools.
-This year I have now obtained an offer to complete my masters at the No.1 ranked university in Canada, my desired destination. The only offer I got among the top schools I applied to. No scholarships.
-I'm yet unentitled to study leave

Here's the question: do I quit my job and go complete this masters in a really reputable school or do I stay back in Nigeria and continue slugging it out in the oil industry? Who knows what will come of the industry as the oil price continues to flutter? Who knows how my future might turn out if I leave to go chase the masters?

Here's my decision: Work is getting boring as time races on. I'm not getting any younger. I'm in my very late twenties. I should quit, go chase my masters and embrace any uncertainty that may come out of that. If I'm unable to secure an attractive job I'll go with academics for life whether in Canada or in Nigeria. I might even secure a Canadian citizenship. Canada is a lovely destination where I don't mind spending a large chunk of my life.

My worry: I have a comfortable life here. Why shake the bottle? Why stir the pot? Racism is still rife in these "white" countries. My life could get unbearable mixing in a culture I'm not familiar with.

Any inputs, please.

Ever heard of online master's programs? Ask yourself first, "why do I want a masters degree?''. If u can answer that, that is the answer to ur problem.

Politics / Re: National Grazing Bill Still Active In National Assembly - Vanguard by pimpo: 1:24pm On Apr 21, 2016
joborskill:
I laugh at the ignorance displayed by many emotionally clouded Nigerians who are against the grazing bill proposed for the Fulani cattle rearers in all states of the Federation. Let's remember that like every other Nigerians, the Fulani's have the right to live and do their business in any part of the country. It is their constitutional right as Nigerians to own grazing fields in any choice location of the country so far it is paid for or provided by the government. We ought to applaud the move made by the federal govt because it will help in ending the unnecessary violence between the Farmers and the Herdsmen. By provision of grazing fields, the fulani's will be restricted to graze on an apportioned land provided by the federal govt. It will be a crime for them to graze their cattles on people's farms once the bill is passed into law. We should not castigate every fulani herdmen as killers because of the few bad ones among them. The incidence in Agatu and other parts of the country were perpetuated by cattle rustlers and not Fulani herdsmen. Cattle rustlers are armed terrorist who steal cattles from herdsmen and graze them around the country as a cover up for their terrorist acts. The ordinary Fulani herdsmen are peaceful people and will never harm innocent Nigerians. The fulani's do not move around with weapons but sticks to guide their cattle. I observed most critics of this Bill are from the eastern part of the country. The igbos need to realize that the federal govt owns all the land and territories in Nigeria and it can decide on how it chooses to use every inch of its territory. The fulani's have every right to graze in the SE and there is nothing any one can do about it. It is their right as a Nigerian just like the igbos are the most travelled tribe doing business in every part of the country. We cannot decide to restrict all igbo traders to the east because of the attitude of few bad eggs amongst them likewise the Fulani's. Most Nigerians criticized the federal govt when they decide to create ranches and import grasses from Brazil to graze these cattles so the herder wont roam about. Now the FG is shifting plans to create a grazing site for the herders in every state which is not a bad move by all standards. We are one Nigeria and we must learn to tolerate ourselves and live in peace. We must shun the politics of hatred and tribalism. Lord Luggard saw the potentials in our diversity before merging us up to form this great country. We must not allow ethnicity to cloud our sense of judgement when the federal govt proposes law that will favour every Nigerian. We must support the grazing bill so the Fulani's can do their business in peace. BTW i am a Yoruba man from the SW. proudly Nigerian cool

Since you feel this way, kindly set an example by donating any landed properties you may own to cattle rearers and maybe your father's village home while you are at it. Maybe you just might convince others around you to follow suit.
Ode!

Guys Are The Major Reason Most Ladies Are Still Single.

Don't tell me something else because I've had my share and chances and most I blew. I'm not proud saying these but as a note of warning to all other guys who derive pleasure casting blames on the female folks.

Back then in college, I knew of a Lady-friend who called me one night and said, "Smith, I'm about to say Yes to a guy"...waiting for me to say something, "life" got a solid grip on me as I sheepishly let her go.
I am very sure, if you're not a "big eye" or "ojukokoro", you would have had some girls around you who also want to hear you say, Ok, to their green lights.

It boils down to specs. There is nothing absurd if a girl doesn't like you. You are simply not her spec. Chin up and look elsewhere. There are some girls that you can't date too because they don't get to you. It's nature.

Guys Are The Reason Most Girls Are Single? How?

- Most Guys Are Greedy.

Get this right, your lady can't have the complete package. She can be pretty, with big ups and back but lack culinary skills. Some men can teach her and all will return to normalcy. Don't be greedy. No lady is an angel. Atinuke who is not so pretty and not busty, but well behaved/mannered, speaks well, intelligent and Godfearing is after your signature but the lustful part of you wants Samantha who is just the opposite. She is a player. She plays you and you call girls "how". C'mon!

- Most Guys Are Scared Of The Responsibility Marriage Brings.

Say the truth, "you just want a girl for "dating" and not for a "serious relationship". An average normal lady wants a serious relationship by the time she is heading for Year 3. That's when most guys wants to flex and test. There are many "good girls" around who won't give in to sex from unserious guys so they've resorted to "self-servicing". "Mr Right" is still busy counting how many girls he has slept with. SMH!

- Most Guys Are Insensitive

By being sensitive, I mean in being there for your woman all the time, without her asking. It can also be termed, "maturity". Money and diamond is not all a lady needs. Can I tell you now? It's in one word, CARE. She may scream "money"! After giving her the money, she'll scream, "You don't even care". Place "Care" before money and Love is born.

- Most Guys Are Still Broke!

I would not allow my sister marry a broke man! A broke man is not the man that earns 40-70k. It's a man who lacks money sense. It's a man who lacks confidence of the future. A guy should know how to use the salary he is receiving to better his life, his investments and others around him. If you smell broke, you are broke. If you are broke, no sensible girl should marry you. Take note: a jobless guy now, might not be broke.

- Most Guys Are Indecisive

Nothing puts a girl off like indecision. You have to be sure it's her you want in your life, her faults notwithstanding. You can't keep saying Yes, No, Yes, No...Time is of the essence.

PS: Everyone quickly blames a 30+ lady who is still single for messing up while she was younger. They wouldn't do if they had an elder sis or aunt in such predicament. GUYS ARE THE REASON LADIES ARE STILL SINGLE. You can date any girl you want to, if you know what price you are ready to pay. If you feel you can't maintain the relationship, don't go into it. You ask out a girl whose cream is half your salary and she (out of consideration) tells you No. Don't call her names. She just saved you. She's not your spec. Meanwhile, if she likes you and shows you that, then, you are confident that both of you can be responsible for the mobility of the relationship. Cut your coat according to your cloth: if you do, you will see you'll that you've been the one keeping ladies single.

Trashhhh!!! LAWMA come and do ur work!!

kropotkin2:
Buhari and Tinubu must do everything in their power to make sure this bill is shot down in the house of representatives. We cannot condone the alteration on existing law to suit the whims of a corrupt public official, because it has very grave implications for the future. I hope the forces of good in both the senate and house muster enough courage to uphold the president's expected veto. By the way it takes 2/3rds of the 109 senators to override a presidential veto. That means saraki and his criminal gang of senators need at least 73 votes (assuming all 109 senators attend plenary on the day the vote is taken), while in the house of representatives it will also take 2/3rd of the 360 representatives, making the number required for an override to be 240(assuming also all members are in attendance). I doubt if saraki can muscle up that number. But if he eventually does then id say we just make the crook our president.

The amendment favours all members of the assembly cos am sure the are all guilty of false declarations though they may have not been caught yet. None of them will ever want to be in Saraki's present shoes, so I'm sure the amendment will sail through both houses without a glitch.

If you were a bit informed you would know why the statement was made.
let me give you a summarized brief your capacity can comprehend, The Total landing cost, production and distribution cost during GEJ 's time per litre was far below the offer for a litre of fuel at the Filling stations the Govt at that time , Yet the government claimed it was subsidized and billions were cornered to government cronies in the name of subsidies., this action was termed a fraud by the opposition at that time.

Total Rubbish!!! At a time when crude prices were $100 and above, you say landing costs where below the pump price of N97?? You must be from Mars!

This is one of those unpopular posts that kinda earns one the "Hater tag" but I'm not trying to shit on Wizkid but rather trying to clarify the misinformation about Wizkid being the first Nigerian artist to be featured on a Billboard Chart.

The Billboard is a organization popularly known for its music charts such as the Hot 100 singles chart and the Billboard 200 albums charts. Besides those two well known charts, the Billboard also has a large number of charts such as the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs, The Billboard Twitter Last 24 hours chart (which Wizkid was featured on courtesy his collaboration with Drake), the Official UK Singles Chart among others, which it monitors and publishes.

For the sake of correctness, it would be right to say that D'Banj, who had a top 10 single (Oliver Twist at number 9) on the Billboard UK Official Singles Chart in 2012, is the first Nigerian to chart on a Billboard chart considering date (2012 which is 4 years old). Don't take my word for it here's a screenshot and a link to check it out yourself.
http://www.billboard.com/artist/1488315/dbanj/chart

I'm pretty sure that if one really checks the Billboard there might be more Nigerian artists who have singles that have been charted on the Billboard music charts.

Blame game from Madam best economy on paper.

If not for the timid, ineffectual, incompetent and clueless president, how can ordinary governors hold a President and commander in chief to ransom, was he such a dullard to not know the effect of wasting oil savings when oil prices were high, especially when NOI herself had warned that the oil prices would soon crash and Nigeria would be broke? Is that not why Nigerians are suffering today?

Governors fault indeed. It's like saying El Rufai or Fayose can force Buhari to share the money saved from the TSA. Impossible.

Thank God we got rid of you and Don Clueless Ineffectuanto.

Obviously, u know very little about politics. Governors are very powerful individuals and wield great influence. They control the national assembly as senators and reps are obliged to work with/for them in most cases since they control the state resources and are in charge of the party structure at state level. The ministers are their nominees. So if at anytime, they decide to gang up on the centre, any president is in trouble.
