Crypto currency is a death nail on import dominated countries. there is no balance of trade or how that can be regulated. Do you think the loans gotten from china is not a means of balancing trade due to our large imports?..

how do you balance the escape of forex through cryptos for an import dominated country especially for non physical services/goods?

- It undermines monetary policies of various Government..
- There are no checks and balances.
- Any dick and harry can prop up a coin.
- it discourages foreign investors from investing physically in developing nations.

Best initiative from CBN on saving the naira.
All you stated makes no sense. You are not very enlightened.
Investment / Re: What My 2020 Investment Portfolio Looks Like by pimpo: 4:33am On Dec 30, 2020
Atk1nson:
2. Mutual fund
-weight: 15.6% of investment portfolio
-average return: -8%
-status: performing
-net loss suffered so far: probably around 4%

Analysis & Decision: I invested via cowrywise. I started early in the year, focused on two categories of mutual fund: dollar-driven and islamic. I made about 5-7% on each class in about 3 months but cowrywise started acting funny (locking users from their accounts).

I paniced and joined d multitude of sell-pressure, taking a loss of about 3% in the process.

Jumped in again Nov dis year on the backdrop of about 10-15% gain in 3 months in mutual fund trends. Unfortunately I mis-timed and currently take a loss of about 8% (curse cowrywise undecided).

Decision: I intend to average down my loss by increasing my stake by atleast 50%. I think people sold massively to cash out and spend their gain come december. I expect it to rise again as people come back to investing in January and naira keeps depreciating as usual cheesy

Please can you inform which mutual funds have been able to bounce back to 10-15%?

Do an email to your branch asking them the plan to pay CRM investors.

Or just be patient to wait for your ROI on its due date. The quoted post was just a personal advisory and NOT the business formal position

Airsay I have one question please. Based on what I hear, the 12 month contract will have a month extension to cover for Nov. By my understanding, that will be 12 ROIs instead of 13 in 13 months because the investor would be rolling over (or terminating) so the loss of one month's ROI will be there. How will this gap be covered?

Investment Ads / Re: Get A Profit Profile Of Palm Kernel Oil Extracting Business by pimpo: 5:16am On Apr 30, 2020
ozornet:

A brief profile of profitability:

Assume to crush 25 metric tonnes per day,

Prices at Enugu as at 26th of JUNE 2017,

Palm Kernel Nuts (PKN) = N140,000 per tonne
Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) = N400,000 per tonne
Palm kernel Cake (PKC)= N40,000 per tonne
Palm kernel Sludge(PKSl)=N100,000 per tonne

YIELD:

At normal yield of 40%
When input 2.5 tons of PKN (kernel nuts) into our expeller you will get one ton of oil (PKO), 1.20 tons Cake (PKC) and about 0.30 tons of Sludge (PKSL)

25 tonnes of PKN costing 140,000 x 25= 3,500,000 would yield thus;
10 tonnes of PKO =400,000 x 10= 4,000,000
12 tonnes of PKC=40,000 x 12= 480,000
3 tonnes of PKSL=100,000 x 3 = 300,000
Total 4,780,000

Gross Margin 4,780,000 less 3,500,000 = 1,280,000 per day
Assume 50% charge as operation and other expenses
1,280,000 divide by 2 =640,000
In six working days 640,000 x 6 =N3,840,000
In four weeks 3,840,000 x 4 = 15,360,000

All things being equal and you work consistently daily without break You could take home a net profit of 15,360, 000 per month

NOTE: Factory can be operated on 24 hrs bases using electric generating plant that uses converted condesate or (black-oil) fuel at about 100 naira per litre instead of 180 naira per litre of pure diesel using the system called 'decarbonizing plant system' thereby cutting costs by half and increasing profits. Very nice thread. For the sake of clarity, did you mean 25 tons or 2.5 tons a day to be crushed in your estimate? 25 tons means the machine does over a ton per hour. Is it that efficient?

Audit and documentation. We need to file proof from the customer that all their RoI were paid without default and that they were neither overpaid nor underpaid

In that case, the transaction receipts should be sufficient instead of the entire bank statement. That is quite confidential information and can fall into the wrong hands.

Did you fill the Termination form? Submit your bank statement? Notify your Account Officer that you are not rolling over? It takes 2 weeks to a month to have your capital refunded after we have done our own vetting.

Why would you need an investor's bank statement? What is the reason?

@richforever or any other client/prospective clients, please check the attached file for clarifications. Kindly note that as an esteemed client of Investment One you can always contact your account officer/customer care team by email or via phone for any noticed discrepancies or concerns on your investment. Thank you for choosing Investment One.

Please can you explain how VGIF works? It appears not be like a money market fund in terms of accrual of daily yield. The daily price list available on investment one's website states that yield has been around 10% but an investment of 5mil has brought just 5k after a month. Kindly enlighten me. Thanks.

I thinks it’s best u go for VGIF.

*VGIF*

What is VANTAGE GUARANTEED INCOME FUND?
VANTAGE GUARANTEED INCOME FUND (VGIF) is an open-ended collective investment scheme which pools investment into a wide range of Fixed Income Securities especially very liquid short term money market instruments and government treasuries

*What are the objectives of the Fund?*

The fund invests in a well-diversified portfolio of Fixed Income Securities, short term money market instruments and government bonds as well as placements with rated financial institutions in Nigeria as well as equities.

*What is the guaranteed return for the VANTAGE GUARANTEED INCOME FUND?*

The guaranteed return of the fund is referenced to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)’s Standing Deposit Facility (SDF). The SDF is the lower limit of the asymmetric corridor around the MPR

*What are the advantages of investing in the VANTAGE GUARANTEED INCOME FUND?*

There are many advantages of investing in the Fund which include:
Flexibility: Subscribers can buy into the fund or redeem either part or their total units in the fund at any time irrespective of the 6-month fixed tenor.
Capital Preservation: Principal is secured and interest is guaranteed up to the SDF rate.
Regular Income Stream: The fund pays dividend twice yearly (in January and July)
Additional Income: In addition to the guaranteed return, unit holders can also earn an additional interest pay-out equivalent to 35% of the fund’s excess return above the benchmark Guaranteed Return (SDF); typically referred to as profit-sharing.
Expertise: VGIF is managed professionally by Investment One Funds Management Limited (a subsidiary of Investment One Financial Services Limited).

*Who are the Trustees of VGIF and what are their functions?*

FBN Trustees Limited, a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Holding Plc. is the trustee to the Fund. The Trustee’s duties include ensuring that the Fund manager carries out its duties in line with the Trust Deed and rules and regulations of SEC thereby protecting the interest of the unit holders.

*How do I redeem my investment?*

You can redeem all or part of the units held on any Business day. The redemption is processed within 3 – 5 working days. Investors will be required to submit a redemption form and the relevant certificate(s) / fund statement(s) to the Fund Manager.

*Are there any penalty for redemption?*

No additional charges will be incurred on redemption, only units redeemed before the maturity tenor of 6months will attract 10% of the interest accrued on the investment.

*What is the minimum amount that can be invested in VGIF?*

The minimum initial amount is Fifty Thousand Naira Only (N50,000.00).

*Do I get an evidence of investment?*

Each subscriber is issued a Fund Statement for every investment made. The Certificate or Fund Statement is required upon redemption of investment; it serves as an evidence of your investment in the Fund. The Certificate/Fund Statement will be sent via mail to the investor or can be picked up at any of our offices.

*How do I monitor my investment?*

Investor can view their account online or contact the Fund Manager on any working day to request for his/her statement which shows the total number of units and the interest earned so far on the investment.

*Does the VGIF pay dividends?*
VGIF pays dividend to its investors twice yearly (January & July). Unit holders have the option of being paid or re-investing the dividend in the fund to increase their holding.

For further clarification or additional information relating to VANTAGE GUARANTEED INCOME FUND (VGIF).

Please what is the account number for VGIF?

Bro do not say what your don' know. There is nothing like accumulated ROI. Your ROI is paid at the end of every 30 days for the next 6 months. If u wish to continue or not after the 6th months, they don't care.
Never mind. It's obvious you are not getting my point.

If am getting my ROI on a constant basis, what is the need to withdraw my investment capital? That's my second source of earnings.
It will be a confirmation of their authenticity. Your answer is the natural thing anyone would be expected to do and that is what someone planning to run a scam will bank on. In 6 months, your accumulated ROI will not have surpassed your investment. IF you request to pull out your investment and you receive it without issues, then that is a good sign in my opinion.
