Romance / Re: I Told My Naija Parents I Don't Want To Get Married And This Was Their Response by pinkysegun(m): 12:40pm On May 27, 2023
A lot of you here at supporters of obi,a lot of you her claim to be supporters of democracy yet you are against someone's choice of not wanting to get married.
Democracy comes with freedom, y'all arent ready for that.
I have relatives whose husband ran and left them to fend for the kids when small hardship comes, i know a lot of nigerians back home and here who are unhappy but are married cos tradition and family pressure.
We need to learn to respect peoples choices.
The reason nigerians prosper abroad (which you all latch on and claim they are your people) its because of freedom.
Marriage isnt for everybody you can check your bible marriage isnt compulsory it even have good points to not to.......go check am or google it.

Then live like your ancestors leave twitter dont use phone, electricity, cars etc iys human nature to evolve your ancestors give you knowledge to add to what you acquire not get stuck on the knowledge they acquired.
Even your ancestors did live in caves like thier own ancestors did
benjsniper33:

Speak for yourself bro I have seen many uneducated folks who reason & analyze better then most so-called “educated” folk and this is simply cos they deploy native wisdom , common sense & an open minded approach to life ..

Our ancestors without western “ education” were still able to bequeath on us cultural legacy rich in Wisdom that lasted and will last through the ages of time

I won’t even bring the white man into this topic and then compare him to my race. We existed before the white man was created and we’ll continue to exist and flourish after he’s long gone

Many uneducated Africans are even more mentally refined then so-called educated white men , because we have an intelligent culture which is in tune with nature ..

The first language of ireland is English irish is the native language barely spoken just as english isnt the native language of england but a mix of languageof the people tha moved to england mixed the the languageof those who colonised/ ruled england....france, latin.
ariesbull:

Please bear in mind that we have Irish names and English names ...these are not it

And these are not Irish names they are English names

Irish and English are completelydifferent languages. They are members of different branches of the Indo-European language family, Irish is Celtic and English is Germanic. Irishvocabulary is very different. The Irishalphabet is smaller.

Please, Irish don't speak English as a first language....they speak English as a form of second language just like us due to conquest ...don't mistake this

They are completely unrelated. Irish is an ancient Celtic language closely related to Scottish Gaelic and Manx and more distantly related to Welsh, Cornish and Breton. It is completely unrelated to English except at the level that English, Irish, Russian and Sanskrit are all Indo-European tongues.

So Hausa is so super rich to had access to Camel before Yorubas grin ?

1.Do you even know the advent of camel at all ?

2.Do you know what camel was used for during Bc ?

3. Do you even know the name ancient Egyptian called it?

4. Do you even know the name Greek called it?

5. Do you know the name Hebrew called it?

6. Do you know the name Arab called it?

7. Do you know the name Roman called it?

Anyway, once you can find the names for camel for the ancient kingdoms, perhaps, you will realise, camel was a ‘vehicle', in the ancient times and wealthy Noble bought them.

Between Yoruba ancestors and Hausa's, whose civilisation was advanced and acknowledged by western world?

Don't bother yourself to proof a point to me but do the research for self knowledge acquisition.
camel is a desert animal the people you mentioned live in desert the north of Nigeria is connected to desert.
The level of ignorance in this thread is frightening i bet you lot still belive nigeria won india by losing 1-99.
Tigers dont exist in africa at all bit leopard looks like tiger amd tiger is commonly spoken about so its easy to see why people ise ekun for tiger, even as a child back in naija my dad and uncle always told me ekun is leopard but people mistake it for tiger. Even some of you don't know the difference.
Ps english has name for all 5his animals cos they conquered the world and borrowed words expecially from latin. French etc. Just as the yoruba word for french is the yorubanisation of the english word French why the yoruba use a yorubised word of french.
Anyways phrase like tiger of africa are always wrong.
You can chose to open your mind and learn or still drown in your ignorance .

Sometimes I do wonder if you guys are educated at all, considering the embarrassing blunders most of you make online.

How on earth do you think that Odiani/olokumi people arrived there first before the Igbo aborigines?

If they arrived first, common sense should tell you that Igbo aborigines won't outnumber them by such extreme margins. Igbo aborigines won't have surrounded them is such way. And they won't have been found in just one small hamlet without any contigous relationship with other Yorubas in SW. You will have to trespass through lots of Igbo communities, Bini communities etc before you can get to Yoruba homeland.

These are 100% evidence to prove they settled relatively recently, and three possible reasons why they're there are;
1. They were fugitives running away from Yorubaland and were welcomed by the Igbos there.

2. They were slaves that eventually got their freedom but couldn't trace their way back to Yorubaland.

3. They were seasonal migratory farmers that eventually decided to settle at some point.

You couldn't even observe that the person who wrote the article you posted bears Igbo name grin grin

how come there are more bllacks than natives(almost extinct) natives inn carribean
more whites than blacks than native americans in USA? or black south africans than sans in SA? more whites than asians in the asia/ siberia parts of russia etc you get my points most times the the majority arent the natives ask the red squirells of europe if the grey squirells are natives.
generally in biology the natives often soccumbs to the invaders same in human history

Right i have no time for childish insult, to the west igbos are bothered by akwa ibom and cross river no border to cameroon, to the east deltaand edo to the north benue, to the south rivers, bayelsa name 1 igbo state thats connected to the atlantic or the bight if biafra (i presume youbare 1 of those who think biafra is an igbo word
So i i stated if the igbo form a country it will be an enclave, if you dont know the meaning of that worl use google
Although your ignorance as been noted

if you did ur 5 mins of googling u wont hav come here to post poo..... there is notyn like "igbo region" ur misuse of the word enclave in describing the the igboland is dishearting upon all the western education u hav got ( dats if u did ) tongue u still dont know the meaning of "enclave"

hypocrite angry telling people to stop the hate and cursing and still goes ahead to call the igbo region landlicked undecided

i pity ur generation.......

. Even if Biafra is Landlocked, ur Zoo that is not Landlocked what has it achieved near Switzerland that Landlocked. Shut up and stop talking rubbish. Landlocked or not we are not part of ur Zoo. If you like kill urself out of Jealousy, na you sabi.

The igbo region isnt just landlicked, its an enclave just like Lesotho, a country within a country meaning nothing can leave or come to that country without the outer countries permission
And please some of you on this thread need to do some 5 mins googling before posting, check your facts please
And jeez 2 much hate and cursing, every tribe like to blame the other for their failings, ask yourself what hads your own tribe, governors, leaders etc have done to move your people forward? It is a common habit for blacks to always blame others for their own failings

I personally thimk that there is an element of truth in the story coz if it were not so, since i v been watching soccer, i have actually not seen India participate in any kind - talk of even friendlies let alone qualifiers,

the best thing to do is just to ask the players then that the so called story is connected with to be able to establish the real fact. I think Segun Odegbami and the likes still are living on the surface of the earth.

this is the best option instead of carrying over this story from generation to generation, shalom!

ve u seen honkong play?, so,alia, ethopia aruba?, srin lanka? pakistan? burma?. there r loads of country who play football but u dnt hear off cos they dnt make it 2 big stage same way there r lots of clubs in england even ppl in england dnt know about i never believe this story n other story i was told in nigeria i received beatin4 my attitude but m glad i dnt believe trash wen told if u wanna see india play go youtube india football of go india embaassy n ask dem 2 give u d replay lol.
