this is where it gets tricky on Gu. . . . .it might to go all the way to take profit point. . . .but most times it will retrace. you can take first part of profit now and wait for a retracement to price 16058 to sell again. . . . .this is why i like to enter a trade with 2 lots . . . . , Goodluck

how far bro? to be honest Eu is about the only pair giving confusing signals that is why i have stayed away from it. the price movement right now on 4hr is showing an impulse wave for further movement upwards while not giving a confirmation on daily. . . . .i no fit lie. . . there are too many pairs out there for me to start cracking my head on eurusd. . . . .

be mindful. . . .bias for eurcad is short. . . .for eurnzd once price hits 17520 it switches to short for a tp of 16852. . . .but there is a potential for it to reach 17690 before it does that so adjust stop loss accordingly. . . . . .audusd's tp is still 10035. . . . . .usdjpy' bias is long for a tp of 8200. and gu is 15629. All long term trades. . . .i'm still wondering why eurusd never gave a good signal for over a month now. . . .hmmmmm. . . .anyway goodluck.

my God, even with the step by calculation?, I thought it would be clear it's 0.1 per lot and not a standard lot of $10 per pip,

What Zeddicus was talking about is Risking and not Using 2% of your account. There is a difference, risk has to do with your stoploss, that is, how much you stand to loose if the trade goes against you. Yours should be far more than 6% since you use 300pips SL. But since it is working for you, so be it. I risk 5% of my account.

maybe i have to break it down. . . .

hold calculator in left hand. . . . .punch in 20k with right fore finger. . . . . . .multiply by 6. . . . . divide by 100. . . .result will be the total amount you should use on the trade. . . . . . . .divide the result by 300. . . . .  the result will be the total lot size you should use. . . . . .if you multiply 300. . . .which is your stop loss by your lot size. . . . .which should be 4 will give 1200 with is 6% of 20k. . . enjoy

what i have found out over time is that all the rules governing forex are subjective. These rules were created by traders, . . . who are more statisticians than traders as far as i am concerned. . . . .and what they have put down makes sense in the long run. just by using 2% of your account and trading with a strategy that works 50% of the time can grow your account but there is a catch, . , . . one must think like a stock trader. for that strategy to work one must be ready to trade for years without withdrawing from the account. The account must be treated like a retirement account. But how many of us have that patience or the account standing to do this. the inability to follow these rules creates the 95% loser "thingy" as you put it. Another way to trade with 2 percent of your account is by scalping. . . .but. . . .you need to be very bouyant. . . . .again. . . how many of us are? for me i alway use 6% of my account with a stop loss of 300 pips. . . . with an entry order for the same tp at the apex of the stop loss if it is ever hit. once i started to get a hang of this game i had begun to believe stop losses were not needed until i got hit 3 years ago with a spike. . . . much like the one's usdchf and usdjpy keep giving us nowadays, . . . .and it almost wiped my account clean, . . . anyway . . . .i digress. . . .to use the 2% rule one must be patient and have a bouyant account. . . .shikena!!!!

Anyway. . . . .Gu is really getting ripe to sell. . . . .you could sell now or wait for it to get to 16150 for a tp of 15629. . . . .all trades come with a 300 pip stop loss. . . .if the stoploss is hit, draw a horizontal trendline at the apex of the SL and wait for price to come back and sell again for the same tp to recoup your loss and make your profit. . . .Goodluck

You know why? you are looking at the market with a microscope. . . . of course it's going to keep changing if you do that. what matters is what happened yesterday or the day before or the day before that. . . .that made you think price would go where you thought it would. . . . .why did you think price would go up or down. . . . . .it depends on the individual. . . . . but if you think and trade long term you wont have that problem. . .  . .i dont really care what price does today so long as i have gotten confirmation in the past of it's direction.  . .  . .it's you choice though. . . . .Goodluck.
