On my recently funded US$100,000 FTMO account, I just achieved a profit of US$11,382.65 today.....I have stopped trading for this month, waiting to process withdrawal on the 20th of October.

Modified: This profit was made just in 7days cos I started trading the account on the 6th of October.

Added to this will be the challenge fee (US$740) which I paid, it will be refunded to me.........total expected withdrawal is US$12,122.65.

I Asked her to marry me and get pregnant for me. Later she got pregnant for me.
She started disturbing me about marriage rights.

On the wedding day I discovered that she has 3 children for one man.
I have asked her several times even before she got pregnant she keep saying no

A day before the wedding, one of my uncle called me and tell me that one babalawo said that the woman I want to marry has 3 kids already.

All that day I wasn't myself I woke her up at midnight and forced the truth out of her
She admitted and start begging me to forgive her, she said she has been looking for the best time to tell me. All this are happening on our wedding day, she beg me not to tell anyone that it can be secrets between me and her àlone, I insisted that I must tell my people from my state enugu to Lagos

My people discouraged me and said I should thank God for revealing this early.
That's how I cancelled the church wedding.

Court marriage 30th September
Church wedding 2nd October
But Before that wedding day, we did court marriage, I told her that I don't want to do court marriage because if she cheat on me I will divorce her and loose my half of my money she got angry, the first day we didn't talk, 2nd day same, Then 3rd day she start packing her loads, I beg her to stay that we have few days to church wedding she insisted that If I don't do the court that I should cancel the church wedding that she can't trust me without court marriage

We did the court marriage, without my parents consent cuz it didn't come from my heart, her junior brother is the one that sighn for me in the court

I don't know what to do in this situation oo

Her first son is 13 years
2nd son 8 years
3rd girl 6 years
And now she is pregnant for me aa

Am 30 years while I don't know her real age

We have lived together for 8 months before I could discover this
And during this period we have been together
She controls me alots and that make me sad
She shout at me too
If ask me to do something for her and I refuse it becomes problem

Please what do I do ?

As an example, I will be switching from D1 to W1 on the 19th of this month, so I'm literally becoming a position trader from this day till Jan 1st cos I will be busier than ever and may not have internet for sometimes 7days where I will be situated.

Boss... maybe being a swing trader is what suites your busy schedule....i used to like to trade intra day... looking at 15mins candlestick jump up & down..but it was stressful chai... it's not easy o... especially when i was trading binary options 1 min for 90% return.... The mental effect is horrible....abeg now i prefer swing trade... because i csn relax & do analysis...set my s.l & allow room for market to move...

Today makes it exactly 2weeks into the challenge, exactly halfway; could you share your experience so far, let's discuss the challenges that faced you so far.
How is your level of psychology so far?
What have been your common mistakes or error?
Why wouldn't you win, what would you do better?...etc

[color=indigo]I have learnt much from traders here and from my mistakes. However, I stopped trading after I learnt that daily duties kept taking me away from the monitoring the charts to lock in profits, minimize loss and to detect change in or continuation of sentiment and close the trade or leave it to run accordingly. Many times, I scarcely glance at the charts owing to other offline pursuits. I decided to focus on one until, probably, another competition surfaces.

Psychological aspect is balanced but will continue to exercise it to keep it firm and healthy.

I wouldn't win owing to the explanation above and to do better, I would need a good amount of concentration and less distraction. The competition has directed my attention to gaps I must close to give myself a good deal of chance to win not just another competition but also in prop firm challenges which is what this competition is training everyone to achieve.

I have also learnt that trading is much more than hitting the buy or sell button. One must know their goal, with the risk management and strategy used to achieve that goal. It helps to keep one from over trading and losing beyond one's capacity to recover and achieve targeted number of pips.

that itself is too much pressure. Almost two months ago, I took a big loss and that affected my psychology, I didn't even know how to spot a pin bar again i had to step back from the charts for almost 2 weeks.

Now imagine if one has a periodic target, how do you deal with the fact that you might not be mentally ready to take a trade for a week. That is disaster. Only experienced traders can scale through when the big fund is deposited. Those of us who are not experienced stand no chance.

Come to think of it, why will someone who is not yet consistent in forex be applying for a prop firm? I still don't get the idea.

Firstly, forex is a game of psychology, if you have not mastered yourself properly and be consistent with your own little capital, I see no need reason for you to be going for the challenge especially for those who don't have much to spare. It can be psychologically damaging if you lose out.

I have not even considered such cos I am not in such mental state yet.

[color=indigo]You are right. Very right. However, that is the most basic of conditions for venturing into prop firm challenges. There are skilled forex traders that find it difficult to scale through the challenges. I read on forexfactory where, according to person, ftmo said that only 8% of those who take the challenges make it to the funding stage. That says a lot especially with so-called experts parading no-loss systems on youtube or forex forums. It takes planning, discipline, and an edge to survive the pit of prop firm challenges. This is why I said a system should be able to lock-in pips to stand a chance of meeting its daily, or weekly, or monthly target.[/color]

I am getting your analysis little by little... So let's say in 1:1 risk rewrd. I am using a s.l of maybe 15pips to get 15pipz profit... not that i am risking 15pips for just 5 or 10pips? ... nobody can win a trade all the time....so i assume maybe you use s.l or not?

[color=indigo]15 pips stoploss for 15pips gain is good which is 1:1 RR. However, if during the trade one gets the opportunity to lock in profit they should do it...for example, 6 pips though it is 15 pips SL. I always advise locking-in profit and leaving the trade to run for possible further gains. Some scalpers would close the trade after 5 or 6 pips profit with 15 pips stoploss which is 1:0.5 RR and funny enough, it is how some folks win their prop firm challenges. People like Pipmaster77 at forexfactory use 1.5:1 RR in prop firm trading. Helps one to catch profits and not to over trade.[/color]

Using such amount of pips is not practicable for higher timeframes though bias should be gotten from the higher timeframes. However, I am still a learner...a student of the markets. [color=indigo]been very busy all day so apologies for the late reply. As regards the stoploss, that is another matter. I believe (my opinion, not fact) SL and TP should be equal. The greater the Stoploss the greater the pips needed to reach your goal if the stoploss is hit. For example, if one's stoploss is 2% of the account and the person needs 1% daily to meet their target but then the stoploss is hit...the person would now need a little more profit target to survive but sometimes that little more can prove difficult to capture. Easier to make it equal so as to give oneself a fighting chance to land on the side of winning. Just my take, boss.[/color]

Here's one truth boss, there are different techniques for different personalities in the market. Myself I'm more of a "low-budget" position trader. I'm ok holding for weeks on a position but there are others who can only hold for few minutes and others for a day (this is basically something we all know).

There is a downside to every technique and whichever one we choose, we should accept the downsides too. Taking what the market gives you, Is that out of fear of loss or because the trend has changed?

That is the question that needs to be answered.

You do not secure profits only out of fear or because the trend has changed or that your strategy is not solid....nothing like solid strategy when a dynamic complexity like the market is involved. If you were trading a prop firm's account, waiting for the market to give you an assumed amount of pips without locking in the one already given is a recipe for disatster.[/color]

[color=indigo]True. It is like scalping...but I am not talking about scalping. Scalpers make a little and close the trade but we lock in profit when it has met our target and allow the trade to run. You can sit satisfied that your target has been met and hopefully the trade running will bring more profits for tomorrow's target. Here, the advantage is that when you are unable to trade the next day for personal reasons, you are good because you have met the target for another day if the running trade netted more pips. This is where the strategy differs from scalping. You are right in that it may not be as easy as it looks on paper but it helps to keep one's focus on the goal.[/color]

I am not talking about lot size.

I'm talking about not taking what the market gives me and leave.

The funny thing is that one needs to make at least 11 pips daily to meet the target or 12 pips if you add spread to stand a chance to meet the target of 240 pips at the end of the month. How hard can that be? Well, quite difficult as there are variables that can combat one's target goals. One of them is not taking what the market gives you. 6 pips twice a day in this competition is bae. Offline distraction is another thing. All I can say, Joe, is keep grinding. All the best.
