CopyJoe:Thought so too without consulting the competition board. Managed to close it at the exact balance of $1000.00. Don't know if already initiating a trade will warrant disqualification despite the balance being the requirement for the competition. |
GabsonFX:It means I stick to one timeframe (the one hour) but my bias comes from the 4 hours and daily charts. I take my entries on the 1 hour chart. There are times however I have to look for an entry on the 30 and 15 minutes charts as my entries usually show up early before they do on the 1 hour chart. This is also why I said the trading system dictates the timeframes to be used. |
GabsonFX:I would go with green. I don't trade just any timeframe. The 1 hour TF is my default timeframe of analysis but I always look at the 4 hour and daily TFs for direction or bias and sometimes have to drill down to the 15 minutes chart for entry. It all depends on one's trading system and style. I have found that not looking for entries on the lower timeframes after the setups have occurred on the higher timeframes keep me out of winning trades most times. The system dictates the timeframes to be used. |
Infofirst has always made positive contribution towards helping traders long before he started the contests. The contests have helped many to discover themselves and achieve discipline with tremendous risk management. Although I stopped trading at the initial stages of the July contest I never stopped honing my skills day and night. I embarked on a journey to define a consistent pattern of analysing the markets which has paid off but that doesn't mean I have arrived at my destination...and though not a winner by any means I have received my trophy of enhanced understanding of the markets (this does not mean in any way I have found the holy grail...it does not exist). Thanks to Infofirst and to everyone who contributes their quota to the thread....wish you all the very best. As usual, congratulations to the winners and may all participants and non-participants of the contest be counted winners in this vast arena of forex trading. |
A welcome change. Essential commodities should never be left to private individuals to control. It will help stabilize the supply and demand or flow of foreign currencies. The market would determine the value of foreign currencies and not some group of people who deliberately hoard them so as to rake in enormous gains by selling them above and beyond their actual market value. Good job, Emefiele. |
Very old news...like as old as Buhari. |
saphiere:I have never told anyone this on nairaland but you are the picture and very definition of EVIL. I thought you made yourself the bull's eye of mockery and insults on this forum but I now see that your incurable ignorance in defending someone who confessed to murder is nothing short of despicable. spits |
ultiabaz36:So you can't advise yourself despite seeing the handwriting on the wall? ![]() |
seyz91:I swear. Bunch of cows thinking this idea to enslave students to compulsory 2-year service is a good idea. |
Nonsense. Why not make it 5 years rather than 2 years? You spend a minimum of 4 years in the university and an extra 2 doing military combat that has nothing to do with your academic pursuits. Minimum of 6 years in a bleeped-up country just to get a certificate. What shall be said about law, engineering, medical, and architecture students who are already at a disadvantage with the years of study? What works in Jupiter does not work in Mars. And some owls think it is a good idea. Gawd. Truly, there is no hope for this zoo. |
karkinase:Actually, there is such a thing as OPM (Other People's Money) to raise capital. We know how that turns out when things go sour (police case, public accusation, name being dragged in the mud...and others). This is why people are ditching OPM for prop firms such as FTMO, 5ers, etc. A good forex trader should go the way of prop firms if they need bigger capital rather than give themselves the headache of managing peanuts they could easily make and over if they were as good as they claim. |
Rather than people make a decision to learn and practise forex trading till they become profitably consistent no matter how long it takes they would rather become victims by seeking shortcuts to wealth and later call forex trading a scam. |
If it was a jobless woman looking for a husband this same band of nairalanders who think op has lost a few nuts in his brain for proposing a marriage union despite his jobless situation would encourage her to find a rich man. Afterall, she is a woman and women are not naturally wired to be the breadwinners. |
Hearty congratulations to the winners as well as recognition of commendation to all the participants for the just concluded June forex trading challenge. The bulk of the commendation and appreciation goes to Infofirst, the originator and umpire of the challenge. More power to your elbow, boss. |
situations:Mr Man, carry your frustrated self and get out of this thread. Did your entry or exit stop anyone from trading the markets? Attention seeker. |

teresafaith:Are you kidding me? Don't be fooled by words. He brought a girl to have sex with his friend who dismembered the body parts of the girl while the friend is nowhere to be found (conveniently). So much holes in his fictitious story of a non-existent friend. Don't you know a criminal once caught would spin any ridiculous tale to save his neck? Akpan, the guy who killed the lady searching for job, claimed that she attacked him after they had had sex....wtf!! These are lies that are so obvious that they refuse to be associated with the story. Be wise, my dear. Murderers and criminals will spin any yarn to save themselves even when caught red-handed. |
jamesbridget13:Apologies over your loss. The thing is relying on signals may result in more losses. Learning to earn is the way to go. |
4words:What keyboard is this? Looks nice. |
Nigeria....sorry, UAR never disappoints. |

Tony142:You are deviating from the foundational idea of the competition which is to give everyone the opportunity to try out their trading skill in order to manage a $1000 live account. |
happy belated birthday, Infofirst. may your days be long and be as colourful as the rainbow. |
Isn't it obvious how he is seeking the votes of Northerners ahead of 2023 general elections? Get the North get the Presidential seat. May his bid to become a president in Nigeria fail and succeed only in Oduduwa Republic. |
I am pulling out of the competition regretfully for very personal reasons. I have been unable to give trading the concentration it deserves leading to my inability to manage trades. I wish everyone the best of luck in the competition. Infofirst, you will always and perpetually be appreciated. Thanks for all you do. |
girls, what do you want for crying out loud? You complain men (bad boys) break your heart but once you see a good guy you crush his heart. What do girls really want? Why are girls so evil to good guys? |
