Hello Pipz

Sorry to tell you this, but this application won't fly..

A 37-year-old going for an Undergraduate Diploma is a total red flag, what's wrong with applying for a PGD or PGC?

He has a third-class doesn't mean he can't get a PGD admission in any of the good colleges In Canada.. Now you are planning on hiding his 2 undergraduate degrees in Nigeria, meaning you will have a lot of explaining to do as regards his study gaps during that period he was doing his undergraduate studies... Do not complicate things for yourself bro,I will be truthful to you, this application won't fly, It's only an agent that is just after your money that will give you this kinda advice..

This is what you will do, since you have 2 undergraduate degrees, one with a 3rd class, the other with a 2:2. You can apply for a PGD admission with the 2:2 UDD, even 3rd class graduates get PGD admission.. Having a PGD admission at his age and stage in life will fly than going for another undergraduate diploma after 2 previous Undergraduate degrees at the age of 37 years...

This is my advice, as you can choose to take it or not...

Peace

Thanks much

Hello Sirs/Ma

Please, I'm applying for someone for an Undergraduate diploma in Canada and intend to be this person's sponsor.
He's 37 (married with 2 kids) already holds 2 undergraduate degrees from Nigeria and presently works with a state government as a Coast guard. His 1st undergraduate degree is a 3rd class, the reason he had to go back for another degree which he came out with a 2.2 but low CPGA.

1. when applying should I include his degrees, but I think that doesn't show a progression since he already holds 2 undergrad degrees and now intends to go for another undergrad?

2. or should I only use his WAEC since the minimum requirement for the course is secondary school cert.

3. What are the things that I should watch out for that will increase his chances of gaining admission and also granted a study VISA.

Thank you and Compliments of the Season.

There must be an association of evil nurses in that Texas. Like a Coven of some sort. Anytime we here of these stories, 9 out of 10, nurses are always involved. I know it was the man that did the murdering but in my opinion, something must have pushed him to the wall. If you're a Nigerian man married to a nurse in Texas, better watch your back. shocked

Lol! I’m a Nigerian married to a Nurse and living in Texas. Reading this thread together with my wife. I looked at her after this comment and we both burSt out laughing. We are blessed and covered by the blood of Jesus, no evil shall prevail over our lives nor any more persons. We won’t hear these kinds of news again in Jesus name. May the Lord console this family and keep the kids under his grace. Amen

Foreign Affairs / NASA Astronaut Kate Rubins Votes From Space In The US Elections by pipz(m): 8:42pm On Oct 24, 2020
How do you postmark a ballot from space?

NASA astronaut Kate Rubins sent hers in through a secure electronic ballot using a makeshift voting booth on the International Space Station.

https://twitter.com/nasa_astronauts/status/1319375479669846017?s=21

"I think it's really important for everybody to vote," Rubins told The Associated Press (AP) before leaving for space in October. "If we can do it from space, then I believe folks can do it from the ground, too."

America is changing faster than ever! Add Changing America to your Facebook or Twitter feed to stay on top of the news.

Yes, that's legal - at least for residents of Texas, where many astronauts live in the vicinity of the Johnson Space Center in Houston (Yes, Houston? We hear you.) A 1997 law allows astronauts to cast their vote when in "spaceflight," which is forwarded from Mission control to the space station to the county clerk.

Rubins is the first person to sequence DNA in space, but not the first to vote from space. In fact this isn't even her first time - she and several other astronauts did the same for the 2016 election.

"It's critical to participate in our democracy," Rubins told AP. "We consider it an honor to be able to vote from space."

Posted in What’s the future of K1 in the Visa ban affected countries
I spoke to my attorney today who confirmed that yes this will impact K-1 visas that are pending. She expects that interviews will be conducted and afterwards the case will go into administrative processing, indefinitely, until the ban is lifted or further instructions are received from the US government. She said waivers are not likely for K-1 cases since it is much harder to prove extreme hardship compared to say a married couple or parent/child being separated.

It doesn't seem like there is much that can be done except hope the ban is lifted or challenged in court, or vote Democrat in November...

Travel / Trump Administration To Take Aim At 'birth Tourism' In Expected Change To Visas by pipz(m): 5:55am On Jan 21, 2020
Trump administration to take aim at 'birth tourism' in expected change to visa guidelines

Every year, hundreds of pregnant Russian women travel to the United States to give birth so that their child can acquire all the privileges of American citizenship.

They pay anywhere from $20,000 to sometimes more than $50,000 to brokers who arrange their travel documents, accommodations and hospital stays, often in Florida.

The Russians are part of a wave of “birth tourists” that includes sizable numbers of women from China and Nigeria.

(CNN) An upcoming change to State Department visa guidelines is expected to take aim at birth tourism, the practice of foreign nationals giving birth on US soil to ensure their children become American citizens, according to a State Department official.

The State Department official told CNN that the department is amending a regulation to ensure that visitor visas to the US are not used for birth tourism. The rule will be "published shortly," according to the official, who said it is intended to address the national security and law enforcement risks associated with the practice. Details about the change, how it will be enforced and the impact to travelers were not immediately available.

The Department of Homeland Security and White House referred CNN to the State Department for comment.
Axios first reported the expected change.

The expected announcement comes a week after a Hong Kong-based airline apologized for demanding that a passenger take a test to prove she was not pregnant before boarding a flight to the US Pacific island of Saipan -- part of the US commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, which has emerged as a favorite destination for "birth tourism."

The airline said in a statement that it was under pressure from authorities in Saipan to step up checks on passengers.

"We took actions on flights to Saipan from February 2019 to help ensure US immigration laws were not being undermined," the airline said. "Under our new management, we recognize the significant concerns this practice has caused. We have immediately suspended the practice while we review it."

It not immediately clear whether the incident was related to the US regulatory change.

In July, the commonwealth's House of Representatives passed a resolution seeking to limit birthright citizenship on the islands in the wake of the increased popularity of birth tourism in Saipan.

The US has sought legal action against people thought to be capitalizing on the industry.

Last year, the Department of Justice charged three people with running "birth tourism" companies that catered to Chinese clients in Southern California -- the first time that criminal charges had been filed in a US federal court over the practice.

The charges stemmed from a 2015 raid of dozens of so-called "maternity hotels," often upscale apartments, where mothers-to-be paid between $15,000 and $50,000 to give birth in the US, according to a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement statement at the time.

In 2018, President Donald Trump vowed to end birthright citizenship by executive order, though lawmakers immediately pushed back against his comments.

Foreign Affairs / Iran Admits It Accidentally Shot Down Ukrainian Plane. by pipz(m): 6:10am On Jan 11, 2020
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Saturday that the investigation of Iran’s Armed Forces has concluded that missiles fired "due to human error" caused the crash of the Ukrainian plane.

"Armed Forces’ internal investigation has concluded that regrettably missiles fired due to human error caused the horrific crash of the Ukrainian plane (and) death of 176 innocent people. Investigations continue to identify (and) prosecute this great tragedy (and) unforgivable mistake," Rouhani said on his official Twitter account.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran deeply regrets this disastrous mistake. My thoughts and prayers go to all the mourning families. I offer my sincerest condolences," he added.

Iran should have closed down airspace after firing ballistic missiles, experts say
Experts who spoke to CNN expressed confusion as to why Iran did not stop commercial flights or close its airspace Wednesday after it fired several ballistic missiles at bases in Iraq where US troops were stationed.
Here's what retired Maj. Gen. James Marks said:

"You have a very hot, contested, busy airspace over Iran," Marks said. "Everybody is on a heightened level of alert, concern, there's a lot of chaos. And they have commercial flights still leaving the Tehran airport, which I think is just amazingly irresponsible."
David Soucie, a former inspector with the FAA, agreed and said the passengers likely had no idea the plane was being flown "right into a war zone"

My mum was denied a visa last year as we were not ready to invite her then and I’d not yet been approved of my GC. My cousin invited her and the consulate denied her stating “why isn’t your son inviting you” as my cousin had filled on the DS 160 that she had a son in the US. Fast forward to late last year, we decided it’s time we invite her as we now have a baby. People advised us my wife be the one to invite her since I’m yet to be approved GC, so we decided to start processing another appointment for her but could only secure a March 2019 date for appointment. Alas, I was granted a GC without being asked any question at the interview, coming from a K1 candidate. My question now is should I go back and edit and resubmit the DS 160 so to indicate I’m the one inviting her or just leave it to be my wife inviting. Thanks and I wish everyone a blissful 2019

A friends wife just arrived at my place from Nigeria to give birth here in the US. She’s not due not until mid January but she was surprisingly given only 30 days to be in the country at the airport after she was asked what is her purpose here which she told them she came to have proper medical care to give birth. She had earlier been here about 2 months ago with her husband Which they stamped them 6 months stay. They 30 days stay is not even enough time for her to put to bed. She didn’t notice this on her passport not until when she got to my place so she went back to the airport and the immigration officials said there’s nothing they can do about it. Please, any advice of what she can do in this situation. Thanks
