Jackson Ude minions go feast on OP IbrahimSalihu: In the realm of Nigerian media, a storm of allegations surrounding blackmail and propaganda has emerged, with Mr. Jackson Ude taking center stage. Presently residing in the United States, Ude stands accused of exploiting his media platform to engage in a pattern of destructive behavior, tarnishing the reputations of those unfortunate enough to cross his path. Among his recent victims is the highly esteemed Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi.
Jackson Ude's Troubled History Unearthed
Before his relocation to the United States, Jackson Ude left behind a trail of controversy in Nigeria, specifically in his Abuja neighborhood at Suncity residence. Reports indicate that law enforcement was regularly summoned by neighbors due to the alleged rampant use of drugs within his premises. Ude's residence came to an abrupt and contentious end, culminating in a forceful eviction from a serviced bungalow. Interestingly, he departed with all electronics originally provided by the landlord, leaving the property owner in an ongoing search.
The Latest Target: Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi
Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, a prominent figure in Nigeria's intelligence community, now finds himself entangled in the intricate web of Jackson Ude's allegations. The Director General of the DSS, boasting extensive training in intelligence processing, agent handling, and strategic planning, is confronted with the daunting task of countering accusations that pose a significant threat to his illustrious career.
Bichi's Storied Career and Contributions to National Security
Bichi's career is marked by unwavering dedication to national security and intelligence. Trained in the UK and at the prestigious National Defence College, he has held pivotal roles across various states, including Jigawa, Niger, Sokoto, and Abia. Bichi's expertise spans crucial positions such as the State Director of Security and key roles at the National Headquarters, including Director of National Assembly Liaison, Director of Security Enforcement, Director of Operations, Directorate of Intelligence, Directorate of Inspection, and Directorate of Administration and Finance. He has also contributed significantly by serving as a Director at the State Service Academy.
The Imperative of Scrutiny and Lessons Learned
As the allegations against Jackson Ude unfold, there is an urgent need to scrutinize the source and motivations behind these damaging claims. Ude's checkered history raises serious questions about the credibility of his accusations and the potential consequences of unchecked misinformation. The case serves as a stark reminder of the darker side of media and the harm that can arise from unchecked allegations. Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi faces the uphill battle of defending his reputation, emphasizing the importance of discernment in navigating the intricate landscape of accusations with far-reaching consequences on individuals' lives and careers.

This matter go long..... I plastaaaaaa IbrahimSalihu: It baffles and often aches me how we got to this level of social media degeneracy in which publications are let loose in their wildest representations. Cautions are now thrown overboard on issues that require facts with zero consideration for the readers' intelligence. The situation becomes more unfortunate when one is the subject of writing.
A post alleging that the Director-General State Services (DGSS), Yusuf Bichi, CFR embezzled palliative funds meant for the personnel of the secret Service is already making the rounds in the social media. However, a close friend who works in that organization revealed that no such funds have been received by the DSS. This makes me wonder how people like Jackson Ude who posted the defamatory piece on X feel comfortable to write untruths about others.
I was further made to know that the social media publication was a handiwork of some unscrupulous and over-ambitious high-ranking officers in the DSS who seek to occupy the seat of the DGSS. The way they have chosen to achieve their goal is character assassination. This is done to cause the disaffection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR against the DG. What they fail to realize is that Tinubu is such an intelligent personality who doesn't act or take decisions based on hearsay but facts before him. Has anyone wondered why Tinubu reappointed Mele Kyari as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)? Mr President has seen the new wave in the NNPCL since its incorporation as a public limited company under the leadership of Kyari, possibly reason he felt he should continue as the helmsman.

Jackson Ude is not a Nigerian-American. At best he is Nigerian based in the US. He is just a cheap for hire Nigerian blackmailer. That is his stock-in-trade who goes to the highest bidder. IbrahimSalihu: A publication credited to a Nigerian- American journalist, Jackson Ude, wherein it was alleged that the Director-general, State Services (DGSS), Mr Yusuf Bichi, is employing blackmail against the Supreme Court Justices to influence a favourable judgement for President Bola Tinubu at the Supreme Court is baseless and unfounded. This can only be the handiwork of some mischief makers who want to cause confusion in the polity.
It is really unpatriotic the length to which some of our politicians go in order to settle their grievances. This is more worrisome when cases taken to court are directly or indirectly discussed, wondering if the penalty for contempt of court no longer subsists. The disturbing trend now is subtly pre-empting the decision of the court, whipping up sentiments against the arbiters of justice. The Judiciary deserves much more respect than that.
What Jackson Ude wrote about the DGSS and the Supreme Court justices did not only smear on the reputation of all the parties mentioned, it is also denigratory and passes for a libel. The contents of the publication are so weighty that they seem to be predicting the direction of the Supreme Court judgement in the Atiku Abubakar's appeal against President Tinubu. This is disrespectful to the country's Apex Court. The trend will continue if the fabricators of such fallacy and misinformation are not brought to justice.
Truth be told, we feel aggrieved at some points of our endeavors but going about spewing falsehood and unguarded statements, not minding whose reputation is damaged, is sickening and should not be tolerated. I particularly encourage evidence-based arguments. Anyone who does not have anything at hand whether written, recorded, pictorial or graphical, linking the accused to a crime is expected to remain silent and not mislead the populace. Nigeria is governed by laws and laws strive on facts and evidence when they are broken. I hope this spurious allegation will be promptly investigated to clear the air as the Supreme Court prepares for its appeal judgement on the last Presidential election.

Hkatago: As mixed reactions continue to trail the decision of the federal government to ease lockdown measures against COVID-19 pandemic, it has become imperative to point out a few concerns thus reminding the good people of Nigeria that any decision taken by government is both to protect lives and also preserve livelihoods. In particular, the ongoing decision which was carefully and meticulously reviewed with the best intentions to ease the suffering of Nigerians puts the government alive to its responsibilities. The FG has made it clear and have addressed if not all aspects surrounding the lockdown lifting in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun states, which it stressed will be phased, thereby leaving no room for ambiguity yet some Nigerians and groups opt to make pronouncements implicating the government.
A particular case is that of the broadcast made by the Spokesman of The Nigerian opposition coalition under the umbrella of "Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) on May 3, Mr Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, wherein some phony claims and accusations where made against the government. The spokesperson, while calling on the government to rescind its decision said relaxing the lockdown in the affected areas would translate to exposing the members of the public to danger and abandoning them to their fates more so that health workers were already raising the alarm over lack of adequate medical equipment including a shortage of bed spaces and isolation centers to manage the cases at hand. Mr Ugochinyere on behalf of CUPP said Nigeria is one of the countries with the least testing capabilities, this claim may not be true because as of April, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) accredited 15 laboratories across the country with an aggregate capacity to undertake 2,500 tests per day across the country. Several new fully equipped treatment and isolation centers have been operational across the country thereby increasing bed capacity to about three thousand.
The Government has also explained they are reviewing laboratory testing strategy to further increase the number of tests that can be performed including the accreditation of selected private laboratories that meet the accreditation criteria.
Based on federal government's recommendation State Governors activated State-level Emergency Operation Centre’s, established new treatment centres and ensured the delivery of aggressive risk communication strategies.
The group in their response also raised alarm of looming total outbreak of the deadly pandemic in the country based on emerging reports from the States of the Federation and Abuja. Such alarm will amount to a prophecy of doom, moreover, facts have proven that the measures emplaced thus far have yielded positive against projections and anticipations.
Mr Ugochinyere further mentioned that the appropriate step for the government was addressing the issue of the complaints of the health workers by mass acquiring modern equipment, stock the isolation centre’s, provide super palliatives to the citizens and then shut down the entire contents as being witnessed around the world in a concerted effort to curtail the further spread of the deadly pandemic. He should be reminded that over ten thousand healthcare workers have been trained. For their protection, additional personal protective equipment has been distributed to all the states and more training are being arranged.
The group also pointed out that the relaxation of the lockdown orders would lead to lawlessness and rubbished the little signs of progress already recorded as it would be impossible to enforce the protocols of the pandemic.
This may not be true as security agencies have risen to the challenge of imposing the necessary measures including restriction of movement of non essential staff and persons across states and within, enforcing mandatory use of face mask, mobile courts are being run against lockdown defaulters specifically in Abuja etc.
We need the support and cooperation of all if we must beat this disaster. The Government is doing its best as it continues to adopt and adapt new global realities put out on a daily basis to best suit the current local realities. How Bill Gates ‘Offered’ House of Reps $10m Bribe For Vaccine Bill – CUPPPublished 4 days ago on 4th May 2020By George Ogbolu COVID-19: We Were Forced To Donate Our Salaries - Niger Rep The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has accused the leadership of the House of Representatives of allegedly taking a $10 million bribe from Bill Gates to pass a compulsory vaccine bill. In a statement issued and signed by the spokesperson of the opposition political parties, Barrister Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, CUPP asked Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila as the brain behind the plot. Ugochinyere, who stated that the bribe was to secure the speedy passage of the bill without recourse to legislative public hearing, urged lawmakers in the lower chamber to rise against impunity. The opposition political parties revealed that the controversial Control of Infectious Diseases Bill 2020 otherwise known as the Compulsory Vaccination Bill is proposing a compulsory vaccination of all Nigerians. According to CUPP, the House of Representatives will under whatever guise pass the Bill tomorrow 5th May 2020 upon resumption. The statement reads: “The Nigeria opposition rejects the Bill and urges opposition lawmakers in the House of Representatives to confront the Speaker of the House with these facts tomorrow at plenary and resist every plan to illegally pass the Bill. “We have been informed that the alleged deal on the passage of the Bill was struck during a trip to Austria a few months back while the financial support for the promotion of the Bill was allegedly received last week to mobilize for a push leading to the hurried attempt to pass the Bill by any means necessary. “Nigerians are reminded that at present, there is no discovered/approved vaccine anywhere in the world and one now begins to wonder why the hurry to pass a Bill for a compulsory vaccine when there is none. “What if the world eventually does not find a vaccine or cure for coronavirus just like it has not found a cure for HIV AIDS? What is the hurry in passing a Bill based on speculation or is there anything else the leadership of the House would want to tell Nigerians? Is this bill what will stop the mass deaths and infections rising in Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Gombe, Borno, Kaduna, Ogun, Bauchi and indeed all over the country? “Is this Bill going to revive and grow the economy and reduce hunger and give us more testing kits or bed spaces? Is this Bill going to stop the stealing of palliatives meant for poor and vulnerable Nigerians? Is it true that all these noises for the Bill is all for the alleged $10 million? “The leadership of the House needs to start speaking now on why the hurry when there are a lot of urgent Bills to be passed which are not being attended to. “Where is the Bill to make the wearing of face masks compulsory now that the Federal Government has against all wisdom insisted on easing the lockdown and the people have trooped out already without obeying the health regulations that will make them safe? “Where are the economic revival Bills to protect jobs and vulnerable Nigerian workers whose livelihoods are threatened daily by this pandemic? Where are the Bills to compel the Federal Government to look inwards and encourage emergency research for the manufacture of essentials like test kits, ventilators, Personal Protective Equipment, vaccines, drugs, masks, sanitizers etc “All opposition lawmakers should prove they are not part of the evil or partakers of the financial inducement and confront Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila to come clean. “Let all parliamentary rules be dropped and opposition members should turn the House upside down using their parliamentary privileges if that is what it takes to stop this foreign-sponsored Bill. “Why make a law for a vaccine that has not been discovered? Does it mean that Femi Gbajabiamila and the promoters have an idea of the vaccine and when it will be ready? When nations like Madagascar are making local remedies which is working, APC is making a law to compulsorily inject Nigerians with vaccines our former slave masters have not yet discovered. “The plan to push the passing of the bill is evil.” |

Idokojimmy: The 2019 general elections have come and gone but the outcome of the exercise has continued to trouble some desperate political gladiators who had envisaged victory for their parties, friends, allies or godfathers. These elements who had demonstrated false sense of popularity before the elections, and perhaps had prepared for appointments as well as political settlement of their various ongoing corruption cases are the ones still aggrieved; refusing to move forward and attempting to destabilize the country with their misguided utterances.
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode leads this category of deranged, desperate and frustrated category of politicians. Months preceding the elections, Fani-Kayode, bolstered by the false social media monetarily-induced statistics had warned that the PDP would 'Venezuela President Buhari' if he fails to relinquish power. Months after his party, the PDP failed to win the elections, he is calling on his party to learn the 'art of opposition' from Venezuela and Sudan.
Why is Fani-Kayode not referring his party to the United States this time? When the Government appears to have failed in the eyes of opposition or trample the rule of law they refer us to the US embassy and United Nations. In fact when good examples are being discussed, you hear countries like UK, Canada, US, China and so on being listed. Why is Fani-Kayode and his party preferring the Venezuelan and Sudanese version of opposition now.
In case Fani-Kayode has forgotten, these two examples of his are suffering deep political upheaval, culminating in the death of hundreds of lives, and destruction of livelihoods and properties worth billions of Dollars. Would Fani-Kayode bring his children to the street for protest? Would he also recommend that security operatives treat the protesters as they are being treated in Venezuela and Sudan? It must be noted that the situation in the referenced countries are world apart. Buhari came into power in 2015 following a resonating victory that was even widely accepted by the opposition. In a bid to consolidate his gains, he lawfully sought for reelection, campaigned across the states, and was eventually declared winner of the poll.
Being a constitutional democracy, elements aggrieved with the outcome of the poll had since approached the court seeking to upturn the results. The process is ongoing unhindered. Why then should an individual seek unnecessary bloodbath or crisis?
Security agencies must as a matter of urgency monitor the activity of this desperate warlord in the making. People like this can easily be recruited by foreign hostile elements to further their heinous agenda in the country. No country survives a civil war twice. Post elections eras are usually for healings and Unity. The interest of the country must be put above all interests. It is heartwarming that the President is seeking an all inclusive Next level. Nigerians must beware of war mongers that would activate their visas after causing national insecurity.

MAKE WE FOR NO ENTER ONE CHANCE... Idokojimmy: A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots - Marcus Garvey
Permit me to start this contribution with a wise man who once said one of the most profound statements I’ve heard in a long while. He said that “History has a basis for further action.” He said this phrase during a routine office morning meetings in our company before we open the doors of our business to customers. Somehow those words just stuck in my head.
However, recent events in Nigeria call for reflective moment when juxtaposed with current happenings in Venezuela. The ongoing crisis in Venezuela is no longer new as it is news. The South American country was once the wealthiest in Latin America, but now it is literally in turmoil. Scenes from Venezuela are better imagined than experienced. President Nicolas Maduro faces a challenge from opposition leader Juan Guaido, who’s attracting more support internationally and from its military ranks as the crisis lingers on for now, with no end in sight.
In the build-up to the postponed February 16, Presidential and National Assembly elections, a PDP stalwart and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, had earlier threaten that should President Buhari rig the elections, the “Venezuelan treatment” will be meted out.
Sir, Nigerians know that when your likes begin to beat the drums of war while fanning the embers of religion and ethnic divisiveness, you will not be at the forefront of the protest you are calling for, either will any member of your family lead the charge.
It is unfortunate for Fani-Kayode to draw a parallel of the outcome of the elections to Venezuela as the elections have come and gone with a winner already declared by the electoral body.
Moving forward, it now behoves on all aggrieved aspirants to seek redress in the courts within the ambit of the countries election laws and not resort to protest or demonstrations they can’t control if at all hijacked by hoodlums.
Enough said a word is enough for the wise.

HammedSodiqq: What a week in our political history? The build-up was stellar, like a block buster movie, both the politician-actors and Nigerian-audience had had an experience that will be forever etched in the sands of time.
As analysis into the plausible cause of the event rages, at least one of the architects, Lawal Musa Daura, has been relieved of his appointment as the Director General of the Department of State Services.
Like the proverbial old woman in Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, the two Ibrahims at the helms of affairs at the Police and EFCC have continued to act with so much unease. Remember Achebe once said that “an old woman always gets uncomfortable when dry bones are mentioned in a proverb.”
Only days earlier, the IGP masterminded the blockade of Saraki’s convoy in the full glare of the public. While Nigerians were still recovering from that episode he deployed his men to invade the Benue State House of Assembly, all without recourse to the rule of law.
That makes IGP Ibrahim Idris more culpable than Daura. In fact he started this whole drama, and unfortunately he’s now superintending over a kangoro investigation into an incident that was a culmination of his failed leadership as the Inspector General.
Now that the “dry bone” of sack is passing around, it will be unjust to equity, justice and fairness for the IGP to hold onto his seat. No way, he too must have his own chew.
Idris has been anything but a disgrace to the Nigeria Police Force. He has demonstrated times without number that he lacks the capacity to exhibit reasonable leadership; and that he does with crass impunity.
Even though he is using ongoing investigation and the media to shield himself from the Tuesday’s show of shame, he must never go unpunished. The Igbos have a saying that “...it is not the day the child spills oil that he is flogged, but rather the day he spills crude oil.”
Ibrahim Idris has spilled the crude oil several times in the past few weeks. Yes we forgive him for his many other sins. But for setting the tempo for whatever happened last Tuesday, he must be seen to have paid the price for his recklessness.
In clearing this mess, Nigerians cannot afford to look far, because you only look for an animal's eyes in its head. Ibrahim Kpotun Idris is a culprit in this matter.
If he is left to carry on then it will be justice denied; and Nigerians will continue to suffer from the indiscretion of such public office holders.

Up until May 30, 1967, there was nothing like Biafra, either as a nation, geographical territory, struggle or political movement as some will now like to refer to it. Ab initio what is now commonly known as Biafra encompass mainly all the south-east states including parts of present-day Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Benue States. Many, as I personally do, align with the school of thought that Biafra was a child of circumstance that eventually became a child of necessity. Events leading up to the 1966 coup d’état, the counter-coup, subsequent chaos and lawlessness that followed, including the pogrom on persons of Igbo extraction in Northern Nigeria, led then, by Lt. Col. Odumegwu Ojukwu, Governor of the Eastern region, to declare Biafra’s independence on May, 30 1967. That was the final straw which led to the birth of the idea. However, Odumegwu Ojukwu as an ardent believer in peace and the Nigeria project did not just call Nigeria a zoo of caged baboons. Despite all that was happening to his people and the suffering they endured, he took part in talks aimed at bringing an end to the hostilities. He encouraged his men to sign the Aburi accord, convened to find an amicable solution to the impending conflict. He never lost faith in a peaceful resolution of the crisis even after Nigerian government reneged on the earlier agreement. He towed the path of peace to the latter even in the face of unprovoked attacks against his people. He sought to make truce and persevered in the face of unbridled hostilities against the Igbos. Odumegwu Ojukwu was a peaceful man, committed to his people and very influential in many circles across political, religious and ethnic divide. He had panache, a hater of injustice, a great orator with the fluency of an actor according to a declassified American Embassy Cable from 1968. He showed a hint of subtle remorseful expression on the civil war which he described as a culmination of actions and reactions years after the war ended, he had such great self-awareness. Odumegwu Ojukwu was a hero, gentleman, intelligent, ambitious, a committed democrat, a firm believer in the Nigeria project. When Odumegwu Ojukwu returned to Nigeria to a hero’s welcome in 1982 after he was granted state pardon by the civilian government of Shehu Shagari. Odumegwu Ojukwu quickly and fully integrated into the Nigerian State despite spending 12 years on exile in Cote d’ivoire. He joined the ruling party at the centre, the National Party of Nigeria (NPN), to the disappointment of many who had hoped or wanted him to join the party that was in power at the state level, the Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP). Since then, the call for the creation of the Republic of Biafra by several actors has historically been strident and recurrent since 1967. Needless to say, the clamour for the actualisation of the struggle has been sustained only by the shenanigans of scoundrels such as Ralph Uwazuike and the fraudulent Nnamdi Kanu who are all not worthy to untie the latchet of Ojukwu’s shoes. To say the least, the concept Odumegwu Ojukwu had of the struggle has been distorted, misrepresented, twisted and capitalised on by the insidious characters seeking to ride on the shoulders of the Ikemba to deceive and hoodwink innocent unsuspecting youth in their quest for prominence and cheap fame and popularity. Astoundingly, the delusional grandeur of Nnamdi Kanu to arrogate to himself the messianic toga of liberating the Igbos and seek self determination for them, calling for a referendum is at variance with the dictates and beliefs of Ojukwu, the progenitor of the struggle. Kanu has made a caricature of the struggle, the Igbos have him to blame if the dream of Odumegwu Ojukwu for a peaceful, just and equitable Nigeria where all Igbos will achieve their God given potential is not actualised. When Kanu spoke, he used uncouth utterances that were de-humanising, disrespectful and disregarding to other people’s existence, and he desecrated the core tenets of his much acclaimed Judaism beliefs where the quest for peace and the praise for peace appear to be an obsession. Nevertheless, Nnamdi Kanu had taken the wrong path; he made himself a king without a kingdom, ahead of a gullible and docile lot. He listened to no one, particularly the elders of the land, as he beguiled and hoodwinked many youths on his inglorious expedition for selfish and pecuniary reasons. His brand of Struggle is a hoax and remains a mere mirage. It’s time for the Igbo under the leadership of Ndigbo Ohaneze to quit playing the ostrich and call Kanu to order. I watched a recent video where he mentioned that he was going to Abuja with about 2 million of his supporters for his court case on September 17, 2017. He informed his supporters to burn down Nigeria to the ground the day they learn he was arrested. I know that by putting Odumegwu Ojukwu and Kanu in one sentence is doing great dishonour to the legacy of the great Ikemba. There is no basis for comparison, one is in the mould of nobles, and the other is not fit to be a serf in Ojukwu’s serfdom. Odumegwu Ojukwu was an intellectually sound, charismatic, refined gentleman, an accomplished businessman, a dedicated family man, comes from a well-known and influential family, that we all have come to know him personally or read about him, Odumegwu Ojukwu we know but who is Nnamdi Kanu? Benjamin Tor wrote from Gboko, Benue State. https://vigil360.com.ng/exclusive-report/3026-nnamdi-kanu-and-the-caricature-of-ojukwu.html

No right-thinking person will deny the rights of minorities to seek self-rule or determination of their destiny as a people. There is "Best-Practice" on how to go about this frolick Nnamdi Kanu has embarked on. If the generality of Igbos wants out of Nigeria. I don't think it will be fair to deny them that right, but it shouldn't be foisted all Igbos. A word is enough for the wise. |
