Many people called me today that they were unable to catch w2a in their various areas,men am surprise cos am hitting 75% in 69x which is 85% in other x-series with 2.4m motorized dish. My advice is for u guys to make sure that ur alignment is in good condition and the di-electric lnbf is in prime focus so that if ur ku lnbf is in offset position ,i mean if ur ku lnbf comes first before the prime focus then all got to do is to track w3a first and then input the frequecy polization is vertical.

My brother ur c band lnb with di-electric has to be prime focus then use V not H. The signal is high as 75% in 69x and also upgrade ur 69x to 1.07p the most current one cos there is more than one.

Ajazeera +1 to +8 is open with 69x with the 1.07p upgrade in badr. If u re in south south the sky is ur limit. You may also contact me.

If you have 69x and c-band system, quickly tune to w2a for discovery world,E-entertainment,BET and other 12 channels including a very raw bad porn channel (24/7 blue film).
Freedom is back but still under construction i ll share it with all paid client.

This will look like a very big disappointment to most of us. My tv is swapping only but genuine decoders with at list a 7 months subscription for the last 10 months. The swap is mytv smart card dependent not our strong receiver so is a bad news for free to air guys here. You re to pay 4500 for the swap. No need for more details.

Rumor has it that mytv is moving to mpeg4. Its a pity that we were unable to convert 63x to mpe4 cos that what they might do. But we got to wait till after Tuesday workshop in Owerri. I ll advice everybody to hold on on mpeg4 receivers cos their 63x might be of use and also 69x price might fall. Lets keep our fingers cross till then.

You must have a tv close by as a test point. Like i said before u ve to turn the knob one channel after the other.

I ll advise u to use the RF modulator considering the number of decoders u have at hand. 21- 69mhz leave u with 48mhz channels and if u divide it by 4 u re left with 12 as u can see the 4mhz gap can never contain 16 decoders u wish to use. Another thing is that if u wish to use 2 or 3mhz gap,u ll find out that u ll start getting interferences due to local channels that ll occupy some of the freq,also remember that Lagos State has more number of local stations than any State in Nigeria. Also there some freq that might be close to any transmission in ur area definetly they may be occupied too. So my dear u must use Rf modulator.

The RF out of the decoder might give u a clear pictures when u re using a maximum number of decoders like from 1 to 10 decoders but once the decoder exceed some number it ll start to cause interference in the picture output. But a modulator has more frequency space ranging from vhf to UHF giving u more spacing gap and moreover most modulator has a kind of inbuilt amplifier which help their picture output to be more clearer and also retain the same clarity in a very long distance. The picture u see using decoder RF out might look very clear in a short range but once the picture enter distributing unit it ll start dropping easily unlike the picture from modulator RF out.

What they did was looping the RF signal from one decoder RF in to another RF out and the trend continues. In many cases i ve tried that method and i found out that picture quality starts dropping gradually in some channels. And moreover it is the same as clustering all the RF out wires together and even in this method if the wires reach some extent and u continue joining more wires u ll also notice gradual reduction in picture quality in some channels. That is why i chose to divide the clustered wires into 2,3 or 4 depending on the number of decoders involve and the type of distributing amplifier am using.
So my dear the best method from my own experience is to gather the whole wires together and join the clustered wire together manually with perfection. Hope u grap! Other people opinion are welcome on this.

Rf modulator does the same thing the receivers does that is converting the A/V input to rf output. But the difference is rf modulator has a kind of inbuilt amplifier which enables it to convert the picture almost like its from A/V. Another thing is that most moderators has various rf band like vhfl,vhfh and uhf.
So now the the A/V wire of the decoders re inserted into the modulators,each to one and the rf output freq is selected from the modulator not from receiver this time. Then the rf output of the modulator brings out the channels in rf mode. Note that the rf output freq must be a coaxial cable connected in the modulator rf output. All the decoders must carry the same process whereby the all wires re clustered together manually or with a splitter or rf combiner then to the distributing amplifier for distribution.
Again rf modulator determines the rf channels output not the decoder,the separation must be done in the modulators. In my own case i use digital display Astel modulator so i can see my rf freq physical the only manual adjuster there is for audio and video signal adjustment. But if u re face with manual adjusting modulators is either u leave them the very way they were already separated or u can do u separation one after the other so far u re not getting the channels interfare.

i first posted a similar dish like this in season 2 or 3. I got the picture when i went for installation mentainance somewhere in ph in one Lebanese man house. But then i ve nothing to feed in to the house apart from the pic cos i was not there when the dish was installed.
Looking at this pic by desjam and George D i recall immediately that it is exactly the same type of dish and most properly the same maker. And now it has been installed by one of our member and it pains me for my absence in the days of the installation. Well this is the our biggest achievement in the world of fta.

        Dstv is moving all their chanels to w7 and according to them no other receiver ll be able to decrypt their smarcard even our strong receiver. If doubt and u ve dstv smartcard in ur strong receiver see if it can open super sports 3nig.

@Ikiriye         my W3A is not facing true east as the theory said. It's facing true south. So just try pointing your dish position 7' south.    It took me 3days to install mine

I dont know why some members like to confuse learners. I said that w3a azimuth direction is location dependent and moreover this guy happened to be in the same location with me. Note that if u track w3a with Vertical it ll effect the azimuth location to the south. Make sure u follow reply posts well before posting next time.

Ikiriye w3a tracking is somehow location dependent,in ur case u live in Agip Estate where i ve lived b4 and very close to where i live now. What u do my guy is to use horizontal symbol rate change the vertical symbol rate default in ur receiver to horizontal and face east not south-east but direct east just like mytv and track gently,handle the dish as if u re romancing a woman keep tracking very slow,also since u re using 69x monitor the movement of the red line if u notice any slight pop up hold on there and it ll turn green.
Do not face the dish to heaven completely and maintain very slow movement when tracking.
Man u got to do this on ur own thats the spirit of fta. So sorry that its the most nutty bird of all. If by end of this week u re unable to catch this nutty bird then keep better brandy for me for ur tutor lol!!

Good job there. I can see from the picture, you have thoughtfully seperated the decoders on the rack to allow for proper ventilation. Very important.

George the equipment behind the pic re the wireless transmitters and they generate so much heat that if not for the 3hp a/c in the room i wonder what ll be the fate of the decoders and moreover there's nothing like power outage in the company never!

At the left of the pic re the rf modulators and at the center re the dstv and hitv decoders.
What i did was to take one receiver to one modulator. The decoders AV wires were inserted inside the modulator and was taking out tru the rf out of the modulator to the distributing amplifier. Since i ve more than 20 decoder,i was provided with equal rf modulators. All the rf output wires were shared into three.
The distributing amplifier i used has 5 inputs; 2 uhf inputs and 3 vhf inputs. But due some vhf freq been so weak to transport video signal,like fm freq and BII freq i decided to use the 2 uhf input and BIII vhf input. So 5 channels were distributed tru vhf while the rest were shared btw the uhf inputs.
The rf wire that came from the modulator outputs re 20 ie. each from the decoders. I cluster the wires together manually without any splitters( Enitan take note.) 5 cables cluster to vhf input and the rest were shared to the 2 uhf inputs.The amplifier also has 2 output but one is 30db test point output so i ve to split one and use the test point for my test-run. Then since the blocks were line into four sections i ve to bring out two cables from my distributing,two blocks for one cable. Each block has more than 60 rooms.
i ll try to make a diagram of the distributing for better understanding.

       I installed a 2.4m strong pan dish in portharcourt last december before i left for my country home for new year. In all my installations this one took more time but was the best even better than mine. At first i was struggling for mbc's frequency to come up for very long time but when i adjusted the scaler rings,to my amazement mbc signal pop up but mbc was not the surprise tp later 12169V mtv arabia and neckledon which has never show green in all my 2.4m dish installations. I used echosat quad lnb which is the same lnb i used and moreover i take that tp to be the weakest in badr. These out of beam signal ll not stop amazing me oh.
        I ll post the picture of the control room and equipments i used in my recent concluded project later.

I ll post a solution to what u ll do on that project. Remember that mine ll base on practical experience not just theory but first of all study that control room very closely. Am just coming out of jungle where my xmas was spent. You ll hear from me tommorrow,the more,more pple suggest for u,the more u ll get confuse,it happened to me so chill out its just a very easy task with the right apparatus u ll achieve it.

I ve used a gps phone to locate my location in ph here and i was so impressed about the technology. I think phone gps ll ve advantage because of its ability to upgrade,just a thought. Moreover am saving to acquire one. Nokia 5800or 5230.

How do one input a dcw and ccw keys in strong,the keys come like biss keys. Strong has ccw key editor but the ccw keys i saw online looks exactly like bsss keys,the same with dcw keys. By the way whats the different between the two.

          What remain for u is to get an equipment that will enable to see satellite beam physical. You re too much,am impressed. In the other hand,dont u think that a gsm phone with a gps can do the same? reply asap.

          Why not get yourself a laptop dvd player with AV-in or rf input for portable movement. In Alaba u can get tokunbo for about 5k new one is no more than 12k. Those sat finders sucks!!

It seems that aljazeera and most badr channels re impossible in lagos area,funny enough is a piece of cake here. I might try hotbird here with my 2.4m.

signal quality like? Also BBC world?

George cnn is not in badr but later in eurobird 2 @ 25.5'e which u can get together with badr with ur 3m dish. Cnn,bomerang and mtv arabia re the only channels free in that satellite. Cnn signal may not need to be too high but it ll never break just like in nilesat. Due to alignment u may need to reduce it to 50-55%.

If you have not tested 69x you re still missing a lot. For instance during my sick days,i was glued to tv,i ll say that that was the only time in a very long time i ve time to enjoy all my setup. So as i was saying ,i happened to study this receiver very well and to my conclusion, is a must have to all fta hobbyist. This is the only receiver that ll hold any weak signal, thats makes my dubai one to be steady. The receiver does not break signal at all. I dont ve to say much before they say am advertising the product again.This is to support salamader opinion. For me if u re using the receiver for multitv alone i ll later say that u re wasting the receiver. This is the best receiver for shooting down distance birds.
