3 of my Treasury Bills were supposed to mature on 2nd November 2017.

But only 2 dropped out of the 3. The one that didn't drop was bought in the primary about some years back. I forgot to write a letter to First Bank to terminate the investment when it matured. First Bank automatically rollover primary market Treasury Bills when they mature.

I started that tranche of my Treasury Bills with 100k and always reinvested both principal and interest. The investment was for 182 days, the 100k through automatic reinvestment had grown to 177k.

Because of a post dated cheque which I gave my lawyer in June hoping to use the 177k Treasury Bills that will mature to settle, but my 177k didn't drop but was reinvested. Thank God the cheque was to be presented on 7th November 2017.

I had to write a letter on 2nd November that the 182 day Treasury Bills should be terminated prematurely. By 11.00am on Friday 3rd November 2017. I got an alert for the terminated Treasury Bills for the sum of N173470.50k, I was 3.5k short of the 177k my bank reinvested.

3.5k was the price I had to pay for my integrity to remain intact, because of the post dated cheques I issued with the hope of my Treasury Bills that would mature but my bank reinvested the fund due to my own carelessness.

The bank paid me an interest of N157.12k, for the 2 days my money was invested out of the 182 days before the premature termination of investment.

If the investment was allowed to mature it would have grown to over 190k at maturity instead of the 173.5k, I got due to the premature termination.

I've stopped using them for secondary investment since the day one of their staff told me any second with interest paid upfront will be automatically rolled over at maturity even when you stated otherwise in the form except you come to notify them few days to maturity not to roll it over

Just like the topic says, I have a problem I've been trying to proffer solution to for a while now. I have some 200,000 I have no immediate use for, I need to put this money somewhere as an investment. I'm a risk taker and can actually try anything as long as it's feasible. I can't setup a business to run because I don't have the time. I'm a crypto enthusiast, not completely but to some reasonable extent.

I've thought about putting the money a way in some altcoins, but faced with problem of which? I've reasoned TRON and RippleXRP, I did some minor calculations based on their current rate and I would go for them based on their current rate and if some well versed crypto enthusiast thinks it's great idea(yeah I know it's at my own risk).

Investment I'm looking for could be long term, say 2 years, 5 years, all depending on how much I could make in the long run.
Another coin I've considered is buying 1 ETH and HODLING it for years maybe. I missed out on bitcoin and wouldn't want to miss out on ETH as well. Apart from cryptocurrency, what other smart investments are out their?

I once thought of buying a Napep and leasing it out but the capital isn't enough and I'm not someone who has the strength to hassle(if you know what I mean).

I've noticed a lot of confusion about granite and gravel.

Based on knowledge of geology, granite is not limestone.

Granite is an igneous rock, while limestone is a sedimentary rock. Most people now use crushed granite (or the slightly métamorphosed equivalent "granite gneiss" ) as aggregate in concrete, I don't know if limestone can also be used.

Gravel can be derived in two ways, some are deposited just like sand and where they can be mined. They usually consist of different types rock fragments which have been eroded, transported (reason why they are usually rounded) and deposited in the current location. Rock fragment present might included, granite, quartzite, gneiss, iron stone e.t.c and many other rock type. The other type that is also referred to as gravel is quartzite rock which is usually massive, But require less effort to break due to the presence of high amount of fracture. It sometimes occur with laterite (weathering of the rock produces laterite)

Additional 180k should take it to roofing stage from foundation. The roofing will take between 120-150k. The cash left will do the flooring. The only left will be plastering doors and burglary.

Note: it's even possible to drive the cost down as work progresses. What have given is just a rough estimate of worst case scenario
