So for me, i captured in August (31st precisely) and just picked up my passport today, 5years 32pages. I didn't get any sms though or any call. out of frustration with the process i went there this morning to register a complaint with the Servicom guys, they checked and told me it was ready. i was shocked and happy at the same time. Though i cant say what their criteria is 'cos while there, i still met people who captured in June. however i noticed people just randomly came to check, as they were tired of just waiting endlessly. And yes its 100% DIY, took me awhile to get captured, its the dreaded Ikoyi Passport Office, and no it didnt take till January 2022 (for 32pages) as someone posted earlier, 'cos a lot of people who picked up today, that i saw, all had 32pages. hope this helps someone sha.

Yes thats what happened when i called. Not unusual at all. I went the next day and it was issued to me. Its not wise for us to leave our passports with 3rd parties for more than 3 weeks without reason.

You can apply in Abuja or Lagos. Though if you want to apply in Lagos for a tourist visa make sure you give adequate time for processing, like 5 - 7 weeks before travel date.

Hello Guys, Been ages i heard from Oga Justwise. i Hope he is ok.

For those who have applied for tourist visas through Lagos, and are yet to get a response or feedback on thier application, i would advise you call (01-4612067, 01-4612051) the Consulate and worry them. As their delay can be annoying.

I submitted mine in the first week of June, and had to call them this week to lay a complaint. Thankfully they eventually issued it and i picked it up today.

Now how on God's green earth are they (The discos) able to come up with the bills they are currently distributing? And why are they still implementing the new power charge structure? after being told to meterize before implementing, or have i misunderstood the government? are we to just sit back and allow these people rob us of our hard earned wages?

We need to really sit down and have a hard look at ourselves as Nigerians and demand service commensurate to rates charged.

1. The bank statement has to be your salary account and if you have other payment other than your salary then you need to explain it.

2. Family pictures will help your application

3. Add your property, car documents if you have one.

4. Mini-budget of what the trip will cost you....booking a flight is not necessary but add the actual cost in your budget.

5. Outline things you tend to do in the UK within that period.

You don't need to add any prove of tax payment unless you own the company.

You have a good immigration profile and your salary is good, list those documents you have for the application lets see if anything is missing

These are the documents i hope to present when i make my application Salary Statements (We arent issued payslips tho at my organisation, will state that on my cover letter), Savings account statements, Employment letter, Introductory letter from my employers, Hotel reservation, a letter of consent to travel from my wife, with a copy of our marriage cert to verify her signature.
What else do you advise i add?

1. i intend making a short trip to the UK later in the year (7days, will stay at a hotel in london). wont be going with my wife cause she cant get off work as she just got back from maternity leave. i have a few accounts but i will be using the statements for the savings account in which i save consistently with. payments of 80k monthly as savings, current balance is about 1.1M. my monthly pay is 350kper month and i have traveled severally over the past 5yrs (training and family Vacation) i currently hold a valid US visa, as i was there earlier in the year.
How do would you advise i approach my application.

2. A friend got refused some months back cos he had a large deposit in his savings account prior to his application that wasn't explained. tho in truth he was paid one of his allowances, so he simply transferred it from his current account into his savings account. he presented both statements, but alas.
He wants to reapply, any tips for him?

Truth be told i actually saw this lady last Friday with her kids and can say from what i saw, that she was a homeless person and not a prostitute as claimed in the story by the OP. I work right next to where the incident occurred, and on the said day saw no evidence of blood, so the stabbing story should be verified. my thoughts are with her kids especially the little boy, he looked so innocent and oblivious of all that was happening around him. Also concerned about the where about of his sister as well.
