Foreign AffairsRe: Trump Calls Tariffs "Economic Revolution", Says China The Most Hit Country. by plaetton: 6:45pm On Apr 05, 2025
GRACEGLORY:
That's not the case.

Trump is trying to accelerate the impact of the interest rates by using tariffs as a form of pressure. This tactic is to finish what the hike in rates is expected to do, that's why he's pushing the Federal Reserve to lower rates now to prevent a recession from the combined effects. While the tariff strategy aims to address global imbalances and encourage other countries to offer the best deals to the U.S, it also sets the stage for the president to implement the largest tax cuts that he promised the Americans.

I believe Mr. President got a plan.
Respectfully, this economic illiteracy at its worse.
If you are parroting this nonsense from someone else, pls cease immediately. It makes you look like a slowpoke.
Number 1.
When you destroy $10trillion from the economy in a whim, and then tell yourself you're just trying to prevent a recession? Nonsense.

The federal reserve was already poised to lower interest rates at its next meeting this month. They didn't need to destroy the US economy and drag the entire world just to persuade the fed to reduce interest rates. That's nonsense and comical.
Pls cease and desist from parroting this low IQ nonsense in public.

Reminds me of another dump economic plan by another dumb and clueless president, Buhari.
In one swoop, He sucked out trillions of Naira , federal government money, from the banking sector, and by extension, the entire economy, and deposited them in an account with CBN, supposedly to fight corruption in government.
Depriving the economy the necessary engine oil upon it runs on.
Well, we all know the catastrophic results of that dumb move.

One thing I have always said is if I ever decide to be governor or president Economics would be made compulsory in all schools from SS1 to university 200 level...

Volume of debt or size of debt is not an issue
Ability to repay is the issue

Someone can owe 2 million and be worse than someone who owe 10 billion

In nigeria the issue we talk about is our revenue to debt servicing is too high..

We need to increase revenue, sadly the only way to do that is to borrow more but use it for what would generate revenue or ability to pay back the loan

So borrowing and using it to build road, bridge, rails, and the reat feel good projects is foolishness... Very big foolishness

And that's what APC have been doing since
But robust economic activities are what generates revenues for the government. In a stagnant economy such as have, government can only generate additional revenues by squeezing the already suffering masses.

If an agreement is detrimental to the people, the constitution, convictions, oath of office and personal contrition. Should it still be honored?

Personally this saga has opened my eyes to the multifaceted nature of our problems.

Nigerians don't want a good society, they just want someone they know to access the treasury, by hook or crook and share. David Cameron couldn’t have said it better- “fantastically corrupt.”

How we are not vexed that people can boldly speak of putting others in office, like we run an oligarchy or monarchy is bemusing. Instead we vilify the unwilling or repentant subject for turning a new leaf.

Even the 3 wisemen in the Bible didn’t honor their promises to Herod because of his inimical intent. So what do we actually pray for concerning Nigeria as Christians and Muslims? To change whose heart?

Just the other day in Lagos, a group of men voiced their position beyond the veil as being the grundnorm of authority in the Lagos assembly and no one sees the inanity in their statement.
Same in kogi, an ex-governor uses the current governor as a vassal and no one sees anything wrong with it.
And now port harcourt.

This is sad.

We lack norms, we lack values, we lack integrity.

Think for a minute, if Wike’s angst is for better schools, hospitals, jobs, welfare of his constituents or personal gains.

Also, USA needs Ukraine. That’s why Trump ask Zelenskyy to sign mineral deals without guarantee. What’s the purpose of owning a land without authority to mine your mineral. As long as Zelenskyy accepts the deal, that land become of interest to USA and they will put boot on ground to Safe it.

Stop talking

Since FG acted on Binance dollar manipulating in Nigeria, Naira has been gaining strength.

Is it only Nigeria Binance was banned or have issue with the government country?

Why should we be using crypto rate as dollar rate in Nigeria?

Annoyingly, those who have no idea about the extent of Binance manipulation would come on this thread to defend him. Annoyingly

Modified: It's important for Nigerians to have a clue about the basis of Binance trouble in Nigeria.

So Binance and some crooks in Nigeria, colluded together to be placing fake orders on Binance which will required dollars settlement. The crooks would use the receipt of the placed orders to exchange naira to dollar at a very discounted price as the amount is huge.

Eventually, the orders are not existing, the demanded dollars are meant to be laundered outside Nigeria most especially other African countries and sell at high price.

It got to the extent that there was too much demand on dollar which made the suspicion.

Now , how many years have Binance been manipulating naira-dollar rate in Nigeria? That some people said Binance left a year ago while the dollar is still around N1500. So you expect years of manipulating to be vanished within a year?
This is nonsense, and you know it.
I can agree that crooks in Nigeria ( and there are millions of them) were using Binance for currency arbitrage. They saw opportunities for quick profit and they used it to their advantage. Looking for loopholes in the system and taking advantage is what every Nigerian does, from top to bottom.
However, claiming that Binance itself was complicit is absurd. Binance is crypto currency platform where crypto currencies are bought and sold.
Nigerian bankers and firms have been know in the past , even sanctioned for manipulating stocks for their benefits. Has the Nigerian stock exchange been banned or closed for the actions of rogue players?

I believe everything, every single thing that this man is saying simply because we all know that Nigeria and Nigerian politicians, and the Nigerian judiciary are thoroughly corrupt.

https://x.com/renoomokri/status/1885738155569205523?s=19[/quote]Just caught Reno lying again, as usual.

New York never ever SPONSORED a mass wedding.

In 2023, 700 couples got together at Lincoln Center to exchange or renew their wedding vows.

The Lincoln center is the most popular wedding venue. After covid, there was so much backlog that the center decided to try the idea of a mass wedding. They reached out to intending couples who were on the waiting list and about 700 couples agreed.
The mass wedding was not SPONSORED by the government nor the Lincoln center. The Lincoln Center just made it possible to clear their covid era backlog.

In South Korea, mass weddings are organized by a religious cult, The Unification Church, for their own religious reasons. Again, it is not Financially Sponsored by the Church.

In Malaysia, mass weddings occur on a particular religiously auspicious day of year , simply because intending couples consider that particular day,the best day of the year to get married. The weddings takes place at a religious Temple, and definitely not Financially SPONSORED by the Temple .

Therefore, using these false equivalences to justify the Government Financially SPONSORED mass wedding in Kano and some other Northern states just shows how very dishonest Reno Omokri is.

I never said such ,sire.

I only said that emotions produce unique electrical signals that are observable.

Now , likewise, the introduction of same unique electrical signal would trigger the same emotions because a direct mathematical correlation exists between the emotion and the unique electrical signal.
If,
A = B
Then conversely, B = A
The fact the we have drugs, an external chemical agent, affects moods and emotions is proof emotions are not wholly independent of environment and external stimuli.

Of course there are sooo much that we are still to understand about the laws nature and human life processes.
That's why we have science. Science is not dogma. Science is an inquiry, a never ending inquiry . We accept the things that we can empirically observe, and leave the rest in the domain of speculation, myths and superstitions until such a time that we get empirically observable proof.

So far, it has been working out very very well.
Our lives today, in this era, are living proof of the pre-eminence of the scientific method.

As PastorAIO has already said, co-relation is not causation.

I wanted to ask you how you can prove that the electrical signals observed are the cause of emotions/ thoughts etc, rather than the effect of them, for example?

Mind you, I do not say that they are the effect. I only ask a theoretical question to advance the point that corelation is not causation.
.
I'm trying to get my head around this question to make sure I understand it properly.
I can only talk of what is empirically observable or has been empirically observed. Anything beyond observable phenomena is just speculation.
MRIs , Catscans, etc, observe changes in electrical signals when different emotions are stimulated. That shows us first that emotions register electrical signals that are not only observable, but can be calibrated and compared to the wide variety of emotions that we experience.
All neural activities, all communication at the cellular level occur via electrical signals, which are now observable.

Have you ever wondered why some men pull away after you’ve given them your all? It’s heartbreaking and confusing, leaving you questioning your worth and everything you’ve done. The truth is, their actions often have nothing to do with your value but everything to do with their own struggles, fears, or immaturity.

In my latest video, I uncover the hidden reasons behind this behavior and share how you can heal and protect your heart moving forward. This is a must-watch if you’ve ever felt abandoned or ignored in a relationship.

Not always the case.

Relationships in this era are very often transactional, even when both pretend that it is not.
A man woos a lady because of physical attraction. He telegraphs to her directly or indirectly that he wants to make a romantic investment in her, which very often is backed up with finance. So the woman eventually accepts the deal.
But sooner or later into the relationship, through the emotional feedback loop, the man regularly reassess his investment. When it reaches that point where his return on investment is below par, he pulls himself out of the deal. The woman cries that she already given the man everything, which most often is nothing other than sex.
It is really that simple.

Most modern women don't have much to offer or add to a man's life, so men are constantly reevaluating their investments in a relationship.

The Nigerian police does not have its own set of laws separate from the laws of the state.
The police charge criminal suspects to court on behalf of the federal or state Attorney General's office.
In this particular case, are the police charging Dele to criminal court on behalf of the Attorney General of Ekiti State or the Attorney General of the federation?
If the police are charging Dele to criminal court on behalf of the Attorney General of Federation, then why did they charge him to a Magistrate Court(state court) in Ekiti instead of a Federal High court in Lagos?
And may I remind you that it is very rare and might even be unlawful for a Magistrate judge to remand in custody an accused person in a misdemeanor offence without a reasonable explanation.
The broad daylight high-handedness with which this case is handled indeed says so much about Nigeria's Criminal Justice System.

Individuals are charged with committing crimes against the state, not against the police. Police charge accused Individuals for committing crimes against the existing laws of the state.
