The government upholds the American system. A "poor" person in the United States will eat better than the average Nigerian. No one is starving in America unless it is by choice (usually drug related). If you don't have housing in America, the government will give you housing. Don't believe the stories about homelessness. In the US it only means you do not have a home with you can pay for monthly and live with your own individual family. If you see the homeless and temporary housing given to the homeless, you would weep for Nigerians. There are so many benefits for the poor in the United States including stable electricity and constant clean water. Just forget trying to uplift Nigeria. Make your leaders accountable.

If the American government give every homeless person a house there wouldn't be thousands of Americans living on the streets or in homeless shelters. If they give housing to everyone without a house why would people be paying thousands of dollars rent every month?
