My stack is swift for iOS and kotlin for android. I use both xcode and android studio for both. Still haven't gotten used to the cross dev frameworks yet although I do know a bit of flutter with dart. Recent build was an AI chatbot app. Built an external server for the backend. Share yours below.

I love your observation! I have been doing (web) fullstack and still doing it. In recent years I noticed that mobile is the true future so switched and started with reactnative and dart/flutter. I recently built 3 edtech products (2 with reactnative and 1 with flutter) which will be launch soon in the market by the product owners. I noticed that users are mobile first before ever trying to use their laptops. They buy, watch,read and do many things from their device.Also mobile device have been given more computing power now than ever before. Many developers will have to switch to mobile if they ever want to to make meaningful impact in their career It is an addition to their existing skill set not deduction!

True tech is being able to apply a new computer-based method to your specialization. Take note of the word "specialization." Meaning that if you don't have a specialization, you are not into tech. You are just floating around and waiting for the next trend. You only apply it effectively to a field you are a specialist in, or you specialize to apply it. Either one of the two.

I have not worked in the bank before but i am able to help bring a fintech app to live asking people with the domain authority for clear concept when i needed to, etc.

This is partly true but not totally. If you are into 'agriculture' but you don't know problem solving techniques you can't still apply tech. You will have to assemble those that can build the product for you but they don't need to be into 'agriculture' to build the product! But if a developer goes into 'agriculture' then he will perform wonders introducing various tech solutions but he does not have to go into 'agriculture' to build tech related products in that sector

I think cloud and DevOps still holds good prospects though. But DevOps isn't for everyone. I think that's the most frustrating aspect of tech. But the money is good from what I hear. A friend who moved to the UK years ago specialized in DevOps and from what he showed me, last year he saved close to 500 million naira after tax. He is quite sort after and travels all over the world. It took him 8 years to get there and he plans to retire this year at 42.

He encourages young folks who have a passion for tech to go into it but they need to be very intentional about it. In 10-15 years just about every aspect of tech will be AI dominated but cloud technologies still hold bright and vast potentials for anyone willing to put in the level of work ethic and dedication required.

You may argue that companies are laying off staffs and replacing them with AI but remember that the invention of printer made many typist switch to learning how to use the computer and print with the typewriter. They adapted. But AI will never fully replace the need for humans just as electric machine never replaced seamstress.

I think the problem is we think of tech as just the software and code related things in this part of the world. Yet we have other such as: drone technology, electronics,Biotechnology,renewable technology,IoT,Blockchain and ledger,Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) for Education & Training, Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking,Bioinformatics,Robotics & Automated Manufacturing,3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing,etc.
These fields are crucial for bridging the digital divide and solving local challenges in Nigeria and the broader African continent.

Let me be practical here! I don't hate vibe-coding! I have been working on a fintech starting late last year, alone for a client!. Using AI tool has increased my speed especially the frontend side and some backend but i still validate and correct a whole lot of things. I sat down with a product owner of an event and ticketing app yesterday to finalize and start with the design and started helping hm correct some of the things generated by AI for the MVP
My point is that the use of the tools still doesn't take away the use of the mind, so the mind still need to be fed with needed knowledge. Maybe we should stop reading automobile engineering in school because robots are now used to build cars or we should not learn cloth design because there are now electric machines. Don't learn to wash because there are smart washing machine(but dry cleaners are very good at washing).In fact we should not go to school because AI can now teach virtually everything and even issue certificate!

Even hackers will become lazy we will only have a few White Hat/greyhat in the future.
Real hackers will use AI to be fast as they already hard working folks Lots of vibe coded apps will be hacked in no time!

I am wondering what happens when you need to enterprise apps, microservices,multi-tenant apps,etc. that will needed to be unit-tested at least, run on a staging server and all of that. Many novices will soon convince themselves as software engineer because they can now 'vibe-code.'

When did they? You guys should stop spreading lies..... His lawyers are the ones trying to delay the case not EFCC. EFCC won't be wasting their time and spending resources if it is an already dead case. Don't forget that the accused and his lawyers will be doing everything outside the court to berry and kill this case.
Please provide me evidence or link where EFCC defended the accused.
