It took me a day or 2 to decide what songs to put up from this album. That’s how good it is. Davido’s debut album “Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis” just hit the local market a few hours ago and the buzz is understandably crazy!

Gunned down with an AK47 as baying villagers cheer in delight, this is the shocking moment a burqa-clad woman was executed in Afghanistan for her part in a Taliban love triangle.
The 22-year-old woman, said to have been married to a member of a hardline Taliban militant group, was shot dead after being accused of adultery with a Taliban commander.
Horrific pictures show a crowd of bearded men gather to watch a rifle-wielding gunman shoot her in the head and back during the execution in Qimchok village, in Afghanistan's Parwan province.Amateur footage of the brutal killing shows the woman, known only as Najiba, slump to the floor, as dozens of men on a nearby hillside cheer, 'God is great!'The unidentified shooter, who is seen wearing an orange beret, swiftly executes her - but continues to shoot her dead body whilst walking towards it.
Officials in Afghanistan said the killing came about due to a dispute between two Taliban members, who had argued over the woman.
Parwan province governor Abdul Basir Salangi told CNN that as both Taliban men 'had some kind of relationship with the woman', they instead opted to accuse her of adultery to 'save face'.
The man continues to fire the AK47 rifle at Najiba's dead body as she lies at the place of execution on the outskirts of a village in the Parwan province, north of Kabul
The harrowing images came from an undated video, although it is thought the Afghanistan execution took place some time in late June.
The video was handed over by a Qol villager to the Parwan provincial government, situated north of Kabul, their spokeswoman Roshna Khalid told AFP today.
There has been no indication as to whether there were any consequences for the Taliban commander she allegedly cheated on her husband with.
The video has been condemned by the Afghan government as un-Islamic and inhuman.
Public executions of alleged adulterers were common when the Taliban regime was in power.
They were in control of the country from 1996 until 2001, when they were ousted by a US-led invasion for harbouring Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden after the 9/11 attacks.

The secret-spilling group WikiLeaks said Thursday it was in the process of publishing material from 2.4 million Syrian emails — many of which it said came from official government accounts.

WikiLeaks' Sarah Harrison told journalists at London's Frontline Club that the emails reveal interactions between the Syrian government and Western companies, although she declined to go into much further detail.

Harrison quoted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as saying that "the material is embarrassing to Syria, but it is also embarrassing to Syria's external opponents."

WikiLeaks only posted a handful of the documents to its website Thursday, but the disclosure — whose source WikiLeaks has not made clear — wouldn't be the first major leak of Syrian emails.

In February, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz published excerpts of what it said were emails hacked from Syrian servers by Anonymous, the shadowy Internet activist group. In March, Britain's Guardian newspaper published emails it sourced to Syrian opposition activists.

The messages appeared to catch the glamorous wife of Syrian President Bashar Assad shopping for pricey shoes while her country slipped toward civil war.

Harrison said the WikiLeaks emails dated from August 2006 to March 2012 and originated from hundreds of different domains, including Syria's ministry of presidential affairs.

Harrison said her group was "statistically confident" that the body of material was genuine.

Assange, who is currently seeking asylum at the Ecuadorean Embassy in London, was not at the brief presentation. He is wanted by British police for possible extradition to Sweden to face questions about alleged sexual misconduct there.

He has denied wrongdoing but faces arrest if he leaves the embassy.

Harrison acknowledged that WikiLeaks is facing "a difficult time at the moment" but said "we are continuing to work through that."

Scientists hunting the elusive subatomic "Higgs" particle will unveil findings on Wednesday that take them nearer to understanding how the Big Bang at the dawn of time gave rise to stars, planets and even life.

Physicists who have been smashing particles together at near light-speed at the CERN laboratory near Geneva have already seen tantalizing glimpses of the "Higgs boson", the missing piece of the fundamental theory of physics known as the Standard Model.

The world of science now awaits a mass of evidence big enough to be deemed a formal discovery. The secrecy surrounding Wednesday's announcement has fuelled speculation that nearly 40 years of research have reached a climax.

CERN accidentally released a video on its website briefly overnight announcing a "new particle" had been observed, but CERN representatives declined to comment on whether that was what would be announced later in the day.

"This video was released due to a technical glitch on our side here at CERN. The final results have not yet been released," CERN press officer Renilde Vanden Broeck said in Melbourne.

She said the organization had prepared several videos for a range of outcomes for Wednesday's announcement.

A CERN physicist who knows what will be announced said the discovery was not necessarily definitive.

"This is not a black and white answer which you should expect. This is an important stepping stone," Peter Jenni, former spokesman for the ATLAS collaboration, one part of the CERN research organization, told Reuters on Wednesday.

Chris Okotie divorces wife
House Hold of God General Overseer, Pastor Chris Okotie, has announced that he and his wife will be splitting up after four years of marriage

Pastor Okotie, broke the news to his congregation few hours to the end of the service and this left members speechless and puzzled for seconds.

According to an eye witness who was at the church service, Okotie drew the attention of the church after the June brethrens birthday celebration (a monthly programme to celebrate those born in different months of the year) of the church service and made the pronouncement.

“Stephanie and I are no longer married. We have separated. You can see she’s not in church today. It’s due to irreconcilable differences and you should please respect our wishes at this time because there is no going back,” he was quoted to have said.

It would be recalled that the House Hold of God pastor got married to his second wife, Stephanie Henshaw, who is also a member of his ministry, in 2008 after he had separated from his first wife due to unresolved issues that were undisclosed.
