Flashaldrin: because my aim was to see and talk with her and not sex??
Lol, not every guy is sex crazy.
That is the problem. If all i wanted from a girl was sex i wouldn't have any problem buying stuff for her. She would be like a LovePeddler to me, just buy her and go. But if its someone i really just want to connect with... (no intimacy) paying for everything is not as cool. If your spending money but not getting anything 'tangible' in return u are being used.

lol @ the 400mph chick. - she said it more than twice Sienna...i was beginning to wonder if the c63 AMG had a Global express bombardier engine fitted..
we dont have speed limits on our roads, so its understandable that when there is no law, there is no offence. but these guys should be more careful.
Exactly. It was clear as day that she either believed it, or doesnt know what the hell she is talking about. Either way she had no place in that discussion
FamilyRe: Why Are Women Their Own Worst Enemies? by pleep(m): 8:51am On Dec 02, 2012
The most interesting thing about the Titanic is that the 1st class males died at a higher rate than the 3rd class females. These men at very top level of the ship were litterally minutes away from the lifeboats, but they chose to stand on the deck and wait till the 1st 2nd and 3rd class women got to safety. Most of the boats were not even filled to capacity but the men chose to stay on the ship because the women were afraid the boats would capsize with more people

And to think...50 years later these same men would be demonized by the gender they gave their lives for. What a world

FamilyRe: Why Are Women Their Own Worst Enemies? by pleep(m):
look here coon, it's really not your fault. You have mentioned all over Nairaland that your dead-beat father left your mom for a british woman and you grew up watching your fat mother rub bleaching cream on her face. I hear you and I have heartfelt pity for you. seriously..
But Plz..plz... don't carry your self-hating frustration on me and my cute happy baby picture smiley. Oya, run along and go jump into a lagoon.
Thats funny because my mother and father have been happily married for over twenty years, unlike your kind, darkskinned and fat, who cant even find someone to marry you. Popping out another ugly square headed bastard child every 9 months.
ps: On the titanic, you should try looking at objective sources rather than romanticized movies and novels (I know it's difficult for you as a gay male). Women and children have always suffered most harshly under sexist conditions throughout history. Feminism and women's rights movements won't exist otherwise. Try picking up a history book.

There is no legal basis for the protocol of women and children first — according to International Maritime Organization regulations, ships have 30 minutes to load all passengers into lifeboats and maneuver the boats away.[11] History has furthermore shown that application of the protocol has been the exception rather than the rule. An Uppsala University study published in April 2012, found that historical survival rates have been in favor of adult males rather than women or children. The paper analyzed 18 maritime disasters covering a period of one and a half centuries, from 1852 to 2011. The same study found that crew members have a relative survival advantage over passengers. The particular case of RMS Titanic is therefore not representative of maritime conduct in general.[12]
Lucy Delap of Cambridge University argues that this myth was spread by the British elite to prevent women obtaining suffrage (voting rights). They said, 'look at the Titanic, there is no reason to give women the vote because men, even when facing death, will put the interests of women first'.

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn22119-sinking-the-titanic-women-and-children-first-myth.html
Its well documented that the captain of the ship gave the specific order "Women and children first" with no protest from the male passengers. Its also funny that this same thing happened on dozens of disasters in that time period. The fact that feminists could try to dispute this shows what a hopeless illogical bunch of twats you are. Perhaps you can also explain why the Romans usually spared the females when they conquered a tribe, or maybe why women were not drafted into the army, or perhaps why legal codes around the world had more lenient punishments for females offenders.

There is not a reasonable and educated person on earth who could honestly believe that females are not generally favored in terms of physical well being at the expense of rights and independance. And for Gods sake stop using that archaic term "women and children" you are not in the same category as children, you are an adult act like one. wink
Just because you are a gay guy who has never disagreed with a woman doesn't make you spokesman for all gay people.
who said all woman and gays were feminists? Some of the staunchest anti-feminists on the planet are women. ex. this thread starter.
You are the stupidiest most illogical and yeye bytch on this site. And your kid has really ugly hair.

First of i disagree with women every day on this site because feminism has made you guys so stupid. I was disagreeing with you on the last fuckin page, did you forget? And secondly, No one said all women were feminists, the best women arent. You have demonstrated the worst illogicality and stupidity i have ever seen on a nairaland female since Mrs. Chima. Just Kill yourself for being such a dumbass, you are a disgrace to womanhood. And btw.. read a book, the titanic actually happened ya know wink

Siena: Dude, the "400 mph" reference Funky made is not to be taking literally. I can say "that driver was going like a bat out of hell," or "the car surged forward like a rocket." I'm sure anyone reading will be able to deduce what's being said - the cars are going way too fast!
Thats what i thought at first, but she repeated that 400mph figure several times, which leads me to think she actually believed it. Or simply doesn't understand vehicle speed measurements

When we are talking about things like stopping distance and danger the exact speed is very important. Someone who doesn't recognize a difference between 200mph, 190mph and 1200mph has no place in such a discussion.

merengue: He's a kid who just got his first car so pardon his "green" attitude.
First off I didn't "just" get my car... i've been driving for several years. And have driven cars and motercycles before i got my license.

You call me green but the chick who thinks cars can get up to 400mph is the expert right?
Car TalkRe: Abuja Street Car Racing Gallery/discussions by pleep(m): 10:26pm On Dec 01, 2012
funkybaby: C'mon. Don't be silly.

So you actually think that a car going at a speed of over 400mph on a relatively busy highway will "mash" brake and "fucking stop" when the unforseeable happens without spinning or causing a pile up of cars/fatalities? undecided
What car was going 400mph? These guys looked like 80 at most

what the hell is wrong with you? angry
Car TalkRe: Abuja Street Car Racing Gallery/discussions by pleep(m): 10:21pm On Dec 01, 2012
Siena: Dude, moderate your tones, Funky is quite entitled to her opinion. Yeah, cars have brakes, and pedestrians should look before they cross, but the blatant facts are accidents do happen.

I'm going to ask you three questions, that you should know the answer to, seeing as you've a licensed driver:

What's the stopping distance of an automobile travelling at 70 mph (113 km/h)?
What's the stopping distance of an automobile travelling at 155 mph (251 km/h)?

And what's the average reaction time of a driver at those speeds?

These are not excuses, these are plain facts.
155 mph on a city road is irresponsible no matter how you slice it, I am not defending things like that. I'm talking about the kind of driving you see in this video.

litaninja: @pleep: if i remember correctly, one is supposed to see himself as the only good driver on the road and make proper allowances for the other "bad" drivers. Its just simple physics or logic, the faster you drive, the more vehicles on the road, the more "bad" drivers in the mix, pedestrians, even roaming wildlife and animals on the road, the higher the chances of something going wrong. Even you as a human are prone to error. Nigerians at regular speeds are not safe, will adding an on-going street race make them any safer?

@op: so far only very little negative energy as i can see here, majority are advocating for a dedicated arena to ENJOY this. Remember, your safety is also going to be increased as a result of this, you can have safety and emergency response crews on hand to help out when something does go wrong. You guys are affluent enough to pull that off without much sweat, and when it does happen, send me an invite, need to see under those hoods!
Your right. But what im saying is that its possible to do this while speeding. This is a technique called "escape routes" For example If the car i'm about speed past suddenly changes into into my lane what am i going to do? Move into the shoulder, move into another lane, or horn them. If there is no escape route i don't speed.

funkybaby: and what happens if 5minutes later ''after pushing some juice in your engine'', a pedestrian decides to make a quick dash to the other side of the road. undecided
get reaslistic. . . . cos it happens !

abuja roads are NOT racing tracks and you are NOT the only road user ! angry
Then you mash the brembo carbon ceramic breaks and fuckin stop! you guys act like if cars are these uncontrollable machines that you cant prevent from crashing!

Is the pedestrian a sheep that cant look both ways before he crosses the street? The excuses you guys come up with are ridiculous

Do you guys have racing schedule? How is the aerodynamics on the C63? I am kinda thinking is not meant for racing.
LOL that thing will beat most sports cars. Aerodynamics don't mean anything when you have that much horsepower and that little weight.

Car TalkRe: Abuja Street Car Racing Gallery/discussions by pleep(m): 1:23am On Dec 01, 2012
Siena: Pleep, I guessed correctly this is your first car, and I can understand you wanting to put it through it's paces. I've been there, done that.

And as for me not understanding the perspective of a fast driver, you're wrong. I've been driving for well over 25 years. I'm also a confirmed petrolhead, and have built several fast cars (some of which have been magazine featured). I have been to the Nurburgring three times. I'm currently building a DTM race car for next year's season. I run a small specialist garage, and I'm putting together a Motorsport team, hopefully it'll be successful. So there's not much I don't know about the dynamics of a competitive automobile, be it built for the road, track or a compromise between both.

I've also owned over 56 automobile till date, 43 of them Audi, a couple of BMW, a couple of Toyota, a couple of Volkswagen and the rest mixed.

I don't know how old you are, but you're probably young enough to be my son. So I'm advising you the way I would advise my own children. If you continue down the path you're on now, you could end up doing yourself an injury, or worse.

Good luck.
haha.. Well i cant really argue with that.
