IbnBattuta1960: I agree with the person above. Check if your wires are properly connected at the pole. You can use a tester to check the entry point on the meter. Or better still, call an electrician. It was the breaker like the poster above said. At least, next time, I’ll know what to do. Thank you for helping out! |
Nairaland General › Re: Damaged Prepaid Meter. by Plomo(op): 11:44am On Aug 05, 2021 |
nifemi25: Good morning. This has happened to my meter several times. Please don't assumed your meter has spoilt yet. The breaker must have done it's job in this case. Either the breaker has cut off the light or breeze must have removed one of the two wires that enter your meter from the pole. One of the two must have happened to your meter ... I knows water doesn't spoil meter . Check your meter breaker very well. You just have to switch the breaker up back . Thank me later I did exactly this and it worked. Thank you so much. I appreciate. |
Nairaland General › Damaged Prepaid Meter. by Plomo(op): 6:57am On Aug 05, 2021 |
Hello house.
It rained heavily early this morning and when I woke up after, I discovered there was no power. I looked outside and saw there was electricity in other houses except mine.
I know, I am sure I am not out of units yet.
And physically looking at my meter, there is no blinking light on.
How do I go about fixing or replacing my prepaid meter? I need it fixed asap but I am afraid the politics they play at IKEDC will drag and delay any fix for months while I’m in the dark. |

Fineman87: Correct That being said, the US does extradite it’s own citizens. Even though they are usually very very few. |
Politics › Re: FG, EFCC, AGF - Stop Extraditing Nigerians. by Plomo: 2:57pm On Aug 04, 2021 |
Very true.
The US hardly extradites their own but will be breathing down your neck to give up your own.
Take for instance, the diplomats wife who ran over a British teen, killed him and still went on to do some luxury shopping before going straight to the airport to fly back to America. The Americans bluntly said NO to Uk’s extradition requests. |

Romance › Re: Why Is Rockefellers, Rothschilds Not On Rich Lists by Plomo: 11:33pm On Aug 02, 2021 |
stanliwise: Forbes’s rich list doesn’t include members of Royal families or dictators who hold their wealth through a position of power, or who control the riches of their country. In this way, the real people pulling the strings are able to work in absolute secrecy without any media attention at all. Forbes’s policy to exclude heads of state from the rich list explains why the Queen of England is absent, although nobody has the slightest idea of her wealth in any case: her shareholdings remain hidden behind Bank of England Nominee accounts. While that may be true, you should also know that all the billionaires at any time on the forbes list have their assets out in public, one most notable example is by taking your company public. Hence 99.9% of them are always affected by “stocks rising or falling”. For instance, no one knew who the Koch brothers were until a few years ago. Because they operated a private company it was not easy to estimate their wealth. Now, their wealth (which is their company) has become more public, and this has brought them into the top 10 wealthiest people worldwide according to Forbes. There are also untold amounts of wealth held in Trusts. These Trusts are designed such that you can never know how much an individual or a family holds in Trusts as these can run into trillions for just one family. The world’s private wealth is largely kept in the dark. And no, I’m not talking about dirty money. |

Undeclared assets.
You need a billionaire’s permission to publish his net worth.
If not, arabs would have flooded the list. |
