Donald Duke (born 30 September 1961 in Calabar ) was the Governor of Cross River State , Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. Duke has been praised for his contributions to the fields of agriculture , urban development , government, environment , information and communication, investment drive, and tourism. Through his work Calabar is seen as the "cleanest city in Nigeria. He created the idea of the Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race and the race grew to become one of the most lucrative mountain running competitions in the world under his stewardship. Donald Duke initiated the Tinapa Resort project as a way to boost business and tourism in the state. Over $350 million was spent on initial development before phase 1 opening in April 2007. The BBC reported in September 2006 that Governor Duke was the only governor specifically mentioned as not being under investigation by the federal Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Four other governors were also reported as not under investigation but their names were not released.) Spearheading the incumbent debt of Nigeria, Duke pushed for democracy and against military control. He stated; "What got the military out of power was not democracy but the dreadful state of the economy. If we, the democratic government, cannot deliver food for the mass of people we can forget about democracy. Source:Wikipedia. Conclusion : Let's not rejoice in mediocrity and Ethnicity in politics.. let's praise the single out the better ones and curse the others. I hate APC, but can't but like Fashola and Ambode based on what I see everyday. |

LASG trying shell something in the post above. Did anyone notice they never mentioned outright payable amount or instalments, all that was stated is percentage and abstract figures. The last I checked one of the so called low sheme housing in Ebute Meta, It cost 25, 000, 000. 00. The fat truth is that most sincere LASG Level 16 workers can't afford this. Mine was with my first car, as I didn't have the chance to learn with my Dad's Car. My Dad who use has 7 cars while I was young. has none while I was 18 years of age.... ( story for the Gods) Back to the subject matter... It was In Surulere and I scratched a Acura MDX from the rear to the front. The Man came out and smile. He says " you need to go back to driving school",He taught me how to clean dent with Brake fluid.. We both clean the 2 cars. After then, I don scratch well well.
