Pre-emptive maturity is always more effective, since it helps you put out a fire before it even starts.

I'm only being pragmatic here because, let's face it, nude pictures, shared secrets, and other potentially scandalising/blackmail tools would always be part of many intimate relationships and can never be completely avoided.
