like i stated before .. i am a christian and i am very proud of my religion If my dp and signature cannot tell you, i wonder what else will.
i also wonder what type of christian you are wanting to take up arms and fight
what ever happened to loving your neighbours as yourself
what ever happened to turning your left chick when the right one was struck
i also wonder if what you would have done if you were in Jesus' shoes when you subjects humiliated you and crucified you, i am sure you would have rained curses, bricks and sulfur upon them...

finally, i also wonder what would have happened if you were one of the leaders of these islamic sets we are so afraid of .. im sure the entire country would be ashes by now ...

my point is .. you cant spit such venom and expect to be "christ-like" .. thats what being christian means !

Only those who lost their love one at the nyanya bomb blast can tell, politicians sons and daughters aren't there. I couldn't agree with you more. Pastors goes everywhere with high security men, their kids lives in abroad. Nigerian government is getting useless everyday and failing her citizen. Even the church is not helping the situation, competition of the highest auditorium seater is their concern.

Sometimes I asked myself, if all these pastors are truly ready for rapture if Jesus should come today with all these multi million$ project erected. If they could have their way to know the date when Jesus will come i'm sure they will negotiate with him to postpone his coming.

While I forgive your choice of words, I restate that christians will not give the FG a dime to fight terror. We are already bearing the brunt of the nation by the lopsided taxes we pay just to keep the country going. I would say christians have been very magnanimous to Nigeria given our ordeal with the muslim north.

It is wrong and unconscionable to defend that christian assume responsibility for duties solely that of the Government.

for the records.. let me state that i am a christian too
and just like our soldiers ... our diverging beliefs , churches , mosques or even prayers would not shield us if this insurgence goes un checked ...
but do you know who will be safe?
the politicians in their bulletproof cars and "over equipped security details" and ofcourse the religious leaders in their private jets and well secured mansions.
the problem with nigerians as a whole is that we see to forget that we are always at the loosing end
someone said that the pastors have builts schools and what not .. yet their children are sent abroad for studies and vacations
tell me .

why would a politician whose children are not even a part of the economy be bothered about fixing the country?

the country is not for just christians alone ..
we all should play our part in the development of the country. i just believe the religious leaders (christians and muslims alike) have a much greater role to play than what they are doing now

quite frankly.. i think mr freeze is right
the situation of this country has gotten to a point where the church should be able to contribute more than prayers, fasting and worlds of supplications
it is known fact that the collective resources of the church (even in nigeria alone) can rival the budget of any government .
hell. these top politicians are very active supporters and spenders in the church .. i have witnessed a governor that could not pay pensioners roll out money once it was time for church functions .. yet our pastors have failed to remind them that they should do right by the people..
all these pastors are just competing amongst themselves .. im sure by this time next year another pastor out there would by trying to outbuild this one....
this is no achievement.. its just waste of funds on a gross scale!
