RomanceRe: What Is It With Nigerians And Their Obsession With South Africa And Ghana? by Poseidon000:
14:
Remember "GHANA MUST GO" so why are nigerians concerned about xenophobia whereas they did the same to ghanaians.
[size=13pt][b]
I'm not gifted with much time at this moment, but I will try my best to address your assertion/question.

It is quit funny seeing ghanians in a smear campaign against nigeria in an overflogged issue,especially when ghanians are guilty of that exact thing they accuse nigeria of. Infact, in an inhuman way.

Let's go down history lane. After our independence on 1 oct 1960. Nigeria was lyk a baby trying to make meaning of life and it environment in the heat of economic hardship and acute poverty. lot of nigerians tried to find succour in the bosom of a brother(ghana) who was opportuned to have independence before us and was privileged with an organized system that is capable of rendering help to her "not that well to do" brother(nigeria).

What did ghana do? It deported over 2 million nigerians seeking economic assylum, under the mantra of "illegal immigrant", and instructed her citizen not to buy any property nigerians acquired during their hustle in ghana(indirect extortion),cos ghanians went behind and claimed all possession of nigerian deportes. This left the deported nigerians with nothing to start life over again. This to me is the height of wickedness which international community didn't blink twice or condemn.
We accepted faith with maturity. Fast forward to the 80's when we discovered oil in nigeria. Ghanians started trooping illegally to nigeria in high number.
Nobody gave a hoot,cos as a big brother we consider ghana a brother,considering our cultural and ethnic ties, But things changed when there was an assassination attempt on our then vice president (Alex ekwueme), And large percentage of the culprit were ghanians. This brought ghanian illegal immigrant under the attention radia of our then second civilian government headed by shagari. What followed next was deportation of over 1million ghanians. I don't subscribe to vendetta,neither do I consider the action of the then administration has vendetta,cos the deportation wasn't solely base on the assassination attempt. It also has to do with the heat on our economy, suffering from the fall of oil price.
Lot of foreign immigrants lyk chad,benin,niger and cameroon, were effected too. I can categorically say that the action of our then government wasn't vindictive.

I know lot of ghanians have bad blood for nigeria bcs of the term "GHANA must GO". You see my frnd, we don't have unfavourable opine of ghana. that is unequivocally overt.
The name was coined from the fact that nigerian government insisted that illegal ghanians immigrants must go back to their home country. this stand was in defiance to the then opposition which rejected the move to deport ghanians.
So nigerians named a bag which our then government provided for ghanians to make easy for the mobility of their luggages, "ghana must go", since it's a government oriented move.

So my friend, slough the perception that nigerians are xenophobic or we don't have favourable view of ghanians/foreigner's.
Nigeria is the best country that condone hogwash from foreigher's.

Atimes i wish the opposite.

[size=13pt]
the painful thing is that; masses will be at the receiving end with this kind of hogwash corpulated comment, when boko haram tries to prove them wrong.

One is left with no doubt in concluding that this is well schematize plot to kill and endanger innocent people,considering the serial uncouth and insensitive comments government officials spit. To what gain, is what one is yet to ascertain.

RomanceRe: Virginity Brouhaha by Poseidon000:
iAmCharis:
Sigh

You don't get it. What's the essence of arguing with a non virgin about the importance of keeping yourself? Especially when the person has zilch fvcks to give about what you're trying to prove? Continuous back and forth on the subject somewhat makes you appear you portraying yourself a better person.
Same goes to the non virgins. What's the argument about? If you're not comfortable with threads on virginity, kindly avoid them instead of sinking your immoral lives down our throats.

Bottom line, encourage sexual purity. You don't have to argue this and that while encouraging sexual purity.
[size=13pt]
Its lyk you didn't deduce his assertion well.

He said, creating pro-virginity thread isn't to spit vitriol on none-virgins. But to induce the importance of virginity in the upcoming generation.

The problem here; is that none-virgins pick offence by this threads, when the apt thing to do is "ignore".

I personally don't give a hoot if my woman is a virgin or not, but that doesn't mean that one should blanket what is morally right, just lyk he opined.

RomanceRe: What Is It With Nigerians And Their Obsession With South Africa And Ghana? by Poseidon000:
[size=13pt][b]
When you said obsession, I began to wonder if there's another meaning for the word "obsession"huh

Nigerians don't give a hoot on how south africans or ghanians choose to live their lifes. This is overt going through our newspapers,blogs,tv stations and even nairaland
FP.

The only time south africa came under the radia of our attention, was during the lucky dube saga, which his killers claimed that they killed him bcs they thought he is a nigerian, and the xenophobic attacks against our people. Infact, the xenophobic attacks brought south africa to the attention of our masses who don't know jack about south africa.

I had lot of people that period, who asked for my help in listing south african investment in nigeria. In bide to boycott south african brands and products in support of our brdas.

If you notice, the dislike on south africa,has to solely do with the xenophobic attacks against nigerians and other african compatriot

That said. I won't dispute the fact that infinitesimal number of nigerians sometime make fun of ghanians, this is devoid of vitriol,cos anybody who know us well. Wouldn't take offence,cos nigerians make fun of lot of things. We do that to ourself(igbo yoruba hausa bash).

Aside from that, we nigerians don't have anything against ghanians, infact, my stylist is a ghanian.

So I don't get when you opined that we are obsessed with you guys...I mean, what is in south africa or ghana that gets nigeria obsessedhuhsad

Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Paying Of Tithe Right? by Poseidon000: 10:05pm On Jan 09, 2016
[size=13pt]
Jesus died to give you salvation,while paying of tithe is for the upkeep of his priest,development of his house(church) and propagation of his "word."

Tithe is mandatory as commanded by God himself. Don't forget that jesus said "he didn't come to abolish the law of moses" he came to change some things that needs changing in this our present dispensation. And he addressed all issues that need changing, which means that those he didn't address are to be left and obeyed.

I don't actually know bible quotes that much, but if you study your bible well. You will notice where he said "father the work is done" that's during his last days on earth has a mortal.
This tells you that he addressed all law of moses that needed change has required.

[size=13pt]
Yes, just lyk I will take bullet for other people I don't have intimate relationship with. And I will only take a bullet for reason devoid of romance.

Lyk opression,_rape,extortion,social injusties e.t.c

Everyman must die, be it now or tomorrow.

Human life is vain. I will be glad i used my mine for something worthwhile not personal satisfaction I will forget as soon has I close my eyez for the last.

Everyman has social responsibility to humanity, but it is pitiable to see people practicing the opposite. Which is why the world is a safe haven for injusties,abysmal exploitation...

I get your drive, but if you deduce my comment well. you go see say my assertion na base on requisite wey judges use to determine miss anything for most contest,especially the one OP dey refer to.

If I want to choose base on my own scale of preference. It mustn't be lyk the aforementioned. It is up to me to set crateria for that.

So your personal scale of preference has infinitesimal infleunce in deciding miss nigeria or whatever.

RomanceRe: Which Romanceland Girl Is Capable Of Winning "Miss Nigeria"? by Poseidon000:
[size=13pt]
Winning miss anything doesn't only have to do with physical attribute.

Manners,intelligence,sensitivity to less priviledge and charisma are all considered.

If you try to compare most nairaland babes with the afore mentioned. You will be inebriated with the reality that none pass the test,except for some few who don't meet up in terms of physical attribute.

That said. For the sake of fairness and equity. It is not out of place to say that very few can claim the title,considering guest and those that value privacy we don't get to see in action.

she has been begged by the two guys parents or so so she wanna save them from going to prison.I have seen cases like this where the girl later refutes the accusation against the defendants to allow the case die down
[size=13pt]
Why are you desperately trying to execute those boyz in the court of public opinionhuh.

Try and reread the report. "The girl refute her parent claim of gang rape".

No tell me, how is it possible that the guyz parents solicited for mercy on behalf of the guyz, in such a heated moment,when all eyez is on, and her parents
vigilance is 99.9% activehuh

is it hard for you to deduce the overt truth from her account?.

She denied having sex with the fourth party. Ooh! by your logic. The fourth guy's parents begged or paid better to take him off the radia.

That's how you people crusify innocent people.sad

I use to have one Gf that always bore my life with those channels.
I can't spend my little spare time watching news. She will always beg me to allow her watch one or two programs,Just lyk cocain addict can't do without crack.

I decided to see what's so special about the channel. I was ineffably disappionted when I followed up for 3days. Nothing educative or mental stimulative, just total waste of productive time.

It is a very pitiable situation

First, not all people are gifted with tolerance to withstand insults,especially when you are trying your best not to go that lane, but the person keeps provoking the hell out of you.

I only insult when insulted..the law of moses is my guide on that.

That said. I'm a man of my word and will never shy away from my actions lyk a coward,even in point of death.
I only apologise when I'm wrong. Aside from that.

I'll gladly give my address to anyone who feels I can't stand him and spit my mind on his face; to come see me one on one so we can put it to practice.

Cowardice and fear are things I hate most.

I'm of the opine that virginity is a plus in terms morality.

That said, it doesn't mean that none virgin's are less of a woman or "second hand". Just lyk many guys are trying to paint them.

The smear rhetoric which virgins receive from none virgins; is has a result of the prejudice and discrimination none virgines suffer from the society(its part of human nature to down play a bar set by society they can't meet).

Learn to ignore some rhetoric.
