PoliticsRe: Buhari's Reelection Will Further Divide Nigerians - Junaid Mohammed by poseidon12: 7:14pm On Jan 22, 2018
Well said Dr Junaid Mohammed. God forbid Buhari getting a second term. Hopefully the PDP will present us with a credible candidate or better still a new party will join the race with a much better candidate. There is this interesting group that includes the likes of Donald Duke, Prof. Pat Utomi, Oby Ezekwesili, etc.

What about the gun carrying ones, who employ them?
They are employed by the Miyetti Allah.
PoliticsRe: Foreigners Employed To Kill In Benue, Others, DSS Tells Buhari by poseidon12: 10:51pm On Jan 21, 2018
The research publication posted by Dr Doyin Okupe demystified the Fulani herdsmen issue. According to the publication, the herds of cattle are owned by Nigerian Fulani elite, who are also members of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association. The herdsmen themselves are poor Fulani, recruited by these elite owners. These owners also recruit a security team made up of Fulani from Nigeria and neighboring West African countries to protect the cattle. They are armed by the cattle owners. They don't go together with the herds but they stay close. These are the ones doing killings. They also get assistance from the Fulanis in the military and police. That is why they seem to be invincible.
So, yes some of the killer herdsmen are foreigners. But they are known by the Fulani elite for whom they work.
Buhari, being a Fulani elite and cattle rearer, knows who are doing the killings. He can end the killings if he wants to. The leadership of the Miyetti Allah should be held accountable for the killings. They know the killers because they hire them. We don't have a President of Nigeria. What we have is a President of Fulani nation.

Walahi these Fulani Oligarchs are more intelligent than any other Nigerian dead or alive. Imagine how they play other tribes like fools and animals and still easily get away with it. Some times they even smartly pitch one region against the other while the secretly pillage the nation.
First, they said the herdsmen where foreigners. We bought it. Then they insisted that the foreigners must take our lands whether we liked it or not: ala colonies. We are presently deliberating it in our National Assembly and no one has the intelligence or even mere guts to confront them with questions.
Secondly, they ensured they controlled 14 out of the 16 security agencies in Nigeria. When the SE & SS complained, they encouraged the SW to say that it was in the best interest of Nigeria to elect competent hands in lieu of national quota. Implication being that there are more competent hands in the North than in the more educated South.
Now we see the implications of all that. Whenever Fulani's are attacking any region, including those that are PMB's diehard supporters, the security agencies go to sleep until the attack is total and signaled to have been completed. Then the agencies will wake up to investigate till eternity until another massacre happens. The cycle goes on and on. But the agencies are always alert enough to perceive even a malevolent whisper from any other tribe or region and wil effect immediate arrest.
Now see how they cleverly want to knock the heads of the middle belt and that of SS together just because they heard that the former are protesting safely in the East . They fear a new political alignment.
Honestly, we in the south deserve this insult
On point. I also believe the Fulani elite are the most intelligent ethnic group in the country. Some statistic put their population at 5 million. That actually means they are a minority. Yet they call the shots, using the Hausa, Kanuri, Nupe, etc as canon fodder. They are adept at playing the other ethnic groups against each other.

They do, but the lands may not be suitable for ranching. If a State is against cattle colony, I don't think it will be possible for Buhari to set one up. Get in touch with your State Government.

Government must come out and explain the difference between ranches and their “colonies” in clear terms

The colonies must be owned by the state governments and rented out, not only to Fulani cow merchants.

The area should be under high level surveillance

Illegal Arms must attract serious penalty within the colony
High level surveillance by Fulani controlled Army? They will just post Fulani soldiers their. We don't want any Federal Government cattle colony at all.

but what exactly is wrong with the establishment of cattle colonies across the country?

sentiments apart, i need a very sensible someone to tell me what exactly is wrong with the establishment of cattle colonies across the country?
If you are still asking this question at this time, then it's either you live under a rock or not literate enough to read current news.
Firstly, cattle rearing is a private business. Public funds should not be used to establish so called cattle colonies. The cattle owners are usually the Fulani elite and can afford to set up ranches.

Secondly, the Fulani herdsmen are dangerous which is why the UN ranks them as the fourth deadliest terror group in the world. No sane intelligent person would want to have them as neighbors for fear of being attacked and killed. I hope you have read about how Othman Dan Fodio came into Nigeria from Guinea, was welcomed by the accommodating Hausas who were then attacked and systematically conquered and colonized (hmm cattle colony). The Fulani are known to be expansionist and troublesome. I hope you have also read about how the Fulani have started claiming that Benue State belongs to them by way of conquest. People are afraid that the establishment of the so called cattle colonies is a ploy to have the Fulani settle in among them and some day attack and conquer them and take over their land. Buhari your President is Fulani and has clearly demonstrated that he is a big time tribalist. So a lot of us believe he has an ulterior motive.

Thirdly, people prefer that cattle rearers should invest in ranches. And the Federal Government should not be the one to establish those ranches. It's a private business.

If you and your people are in support of cattle colonies, it's your choice to make. Go for it. I'm definitely not in support. I will support private ranches by those interested in rearing cattle which I think is a lucrative business. The various State Governments should do well to encourage individuals to invest in cattle ranching as a way to generate good jobs.
I hope I have not bored you with my long epistle.

We all have roles to play in bringing about the Nigeria of our dream. It's clearly stated in the body of the message that, states that don't want to partake in the useless scheme will be exempted. Why not talk to your respective governors rather than attacking the federal government?

kogi state Bello in his asslicking manner to Buhari, wants kogi state to be used as an experiment ground for the initiative.. Kogi is so unfortunate to have had him
Exactly. It's voluntary. Only the States that want it will get it. So it is up to the Governors and their people to decide.
As for Kogi State, the people are complicit in what is happening to them. Nobody is forced to vote a certain way. Moreover, a Governor can be impeached.

This is not fair at all.
Maybe, but they indicated that it is voluntary. It's only for the States that accept it. So, if you are against it, like I am, just make sure your Governor rejects it. My Governor, I'm sure will not accept it unless he wants to be impeached. We should all be careful who we vote into power.

You guys better go and start impeachment proceedings against Rochas to correct the electoral mistake made by voters. You guys voted him and can also remove him. If there is no political will to impeach, then you should all accept being complicit in bringing Fulani colony to Igboland. No need running to Idiroko after voting for Rochas. Ogun State might still deport you back to Imo.

If a governor accept it doesn't mean the prop should let it happen. Government is not the owner of the land. He is only put there to do the bidding of those who put him in charge and make sure they are equally represented. He is not a dictator or monarchy . If he does what they don't like, they should not allow it.
The Governors that take unilateral decision to accept cattle colonies should be impeached promptly by the State House of Assembly. With all its imperfections, our democracy gives us the power to choose our leadership.

If Audu Ogbeh feels that his intentions are good, why is he keeping the name of the States that have allegedly accepted cattle colonies secret?
So far, it's Kogi State that I keep seeing. Indigenes of Imo State should check very well to make sure that Rochas have not put them on the list. On a lighter note, if they accept to host a cattle colony, they should ensure that the colony is on Abagworo's family's property. It's only fair.

Go, collect your PVC. Buhari cannot be declared president if he does not win a minimum of 25% in at least 24 States even if he turns in 1 billion votes from Kano.

Your own vote can deny him the needed 25% in your State.

Please, even if you have collected your PVC in your area of residence but are not sure you would be there during election (for those who usually travel to their States of origin during election), kindly go and transfer your PVC from your current State of residence to your State of origin so that you not only collect your PVC but that you put it to the effective use of removing this evil, wicked and murderous government from ruling over us beyond 2019.

The registration/transfer of PVC is ongoing at INEC offices near you, Monday - Saturday, 9am - 3pm daily.

There's no sacrifice too great to rescue our nation from the grip of evil men in power, if not for the sake of our generation, let's do it for the sake of our children and children's children

Northerners control the country because they understand politics better than the South.
