Education › NYSC Rejects Illiterate Graduates Of Enugu University (ESUT) by Positivepoint(op): 3:19pm On May 23, 2018 |
Three “graduates” of Enugu State University of Science and Technology mobilized to participate in the National Youth Service Corps scheme have shown lack of competence and intelligence level expected of genuine degree holders. According to documents obtained by ESUT NEWS ONLINE, the three “graduates,” who are serving in ABUJA, Lagos and KOGI states respectively, were rejected, with formal letters sent to the state coordinators by their areas of primary assignment and forwarded to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja. The Director General of NYSC, had informed the NUC of the presence of corps members who displayed “glaring lack of academic ability and intelligence level expected of genuine Nigerian graduates, which were consistently exhibited by the three students from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.” Attaching copies of letters from NYSC secretariats in Abuja, Lagos and Kogi, “As contained in the reports, the corps members exhibited signs of incompetence and low intelligence level which range from inability to complete registration formats correctly to not being able to teach pupils at nursery school level. These inadequacies led to their rejections by their employers in their various states of deployment.” The case, according to an insider’s account, has baffled the National Universities Commission (NUC) and prompted the setting up of a committee to “verify the integrity of the degrees,” and find out if there was collaboration by the university. Federal education authorities are suspecting a wide-ranging scam that might have been going on for years. To unravel how the three corps members were mobilised, the NUC has already set up a panel, comprising officials of NYSC, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the State Security Service (SSS). The mandate of the panel, according to a letter dated September 24, 2012 signed by NUC Director of Quality Assurance, Professor C.F. Mafiana, “is to fully investigate the report with a view to identifying the culprits, including others similarly mobilised and their collaborators, and ensuring sanctions accordingly. The team would be chaired by a visiting professor in the NUC.” Out of the three corps members, Jane could hardly write the Roman figures from one to 10 in words, just as she could not write three states and their capitals. She could not provide the names of two major rivers in Nigeria, just as she failed to name three countries that share border with Nigeria. Obioma, according to the documents, was rejected by Kings College, Lagos, after it was discovered that she was grossly incompetent to perform her duties. A further test on her by the Lagos state NYSC secretariat revealed that though a graduate of Electricals/Electronics, she never passed any of the science subjects at the secondary school level. The third fellow, John, who was posted to Abuja, was rejected by a nursery/primary school known as FEMA Schools because of his inability to read and write. Having been rejected by two employers, he had to be reposted by Abuja NYSC to a bakery, pending the final determination of his case by the NYSC national headquarters. When queried on his incompetence, John proved his incompetence when he responded in writing: ‘“I awarded a degree in Enugu State University of Science and Technology I have a probeam in my university am manegn my siefe to funsh my school.”” A source disclosed on Friday that members of the panel would soon commence probing the circumstances under which the “graduates” were released by the university to participate in the NYSC scheme. http://www..ng/education/nysc-rejects-illiterate-graduates-of-enugu-university-esut |

wildernessVoice: Was the ghost of late INEC Returning Officer of Kano hovering in the air when IG Idris visited Kano to deliver his speech that has become TRANSMISSION and TRANSMITTED?
Many might have forgotten that the current IGP , Idris, was the CP of Kano State when Buhari polled 2 million votes and Jonathan only 150,000 in the 2015 election. The then INEC Returning Officer in Kano was burnt to death together with his family in their home, immediately after the election and the result announced.
Till date no arrest has been made for the multiple homicide, nor anything found as the cause of the fire .
NOW HEAR THIS:- As if it is a payback for a job well done, CP Idris was promoted to IGP over 12 other senior CPs, over 22 senior AIGs, and of course over the 7 most senior DIG police officers to become IGP immediately Buhari was sworn in.
Every other officer that was senior to CP Idris was retired just to make way for the now IG Idris to occupy this highest position.
Corruption is not only when you embezzled money. There are several forms of corruption that have become cankerworm in our governance, nepotism is one of them. bros take lie easy AIG Idris, was in charge of Operations at the Force Headquarters before his appointment as the Acting Inspector-General of Police, will act in that capacity pending his confirmation. |

Spagmoore: oga go and sit down even if na true with your story, but what is the government doing to curb and bring to book those behind this killings? If your family member is among those killed, u go fit talk this rubbish?? This government is demonic, evil, barbaric and weak... What is bab is nothing but bad. well my only problem is attributing this crime to herdsmen. conflict of any kind is not should not be tolerated but the victims, the culprits & the problems should be clearly identified if we want to out of the cycle of violence we are in. Now that the Christian media has painted that every crime committed in nigeria is caused by herdsmen and the victims are only identified when they are Christians. if they are muslims, who cares even if the culprit are Christian militias e.g in numan, plateau, sardauna in taraba e.t.c never gets the attention from the Christian media. over 72 people died in birnin gwari in kaduna this week and since the victims are muslims they tag the culprits as bandits but if it where to be Christians they will tag them herdsmen on a jihad. so our attitude towards this issues are not sincere that is why the crisis cant end. The Christians always want to play victims thinking the world are ignorant and will act without investigation. |

cantok: Residents of at least five villages in Adamawa State are currently scuttling to the bush, following renewed attacks by herdsmen.
The villages — Nega, Bang, Gon, Bolki, and Nzumosu (all in Numan Local Government) — have been under sporadic attacks since last week Wednesday, although one or two villages, such as Yanga, have remained impenetrable to the attackers.
“The terrorists have wanted to attack since Friday [last week] but they were dispersed by a combination of CTU, Mopol and highway patrol,” one of the villagers, who asked not to be named for fear of being hunted down, told SaharaReporters on phone as he was running into the bush.
“However, on Monday, they started gathering close to Nega and 5am today, they burnt a church in the village.
“Already, before now, when the info went round about their gathering, villagers sent their women and children away, while only the men stayed back to defend their villages.”
Nega and Bang are on the border between Adamawa and Taraba, so they are the first villages on the path of the attackers, who are coming from Taraba state.
“Youth from all these other villages has been mobilizing support from Nega and Bang to prevent the attackers from reaching the other villages,” he continued.
“So, the attackers sensed they might face some resistance and decided to use another route to one of the villages, Gon, where they set rice farms on fire. Mind you, people are harvesting dry season rice at this moment.”
SaharaReporters confirmed that security forces were notified of the attack well before the assailants entered the villages but it was unclear what their response was.

PrettyCrystal: It was earlier reported how two truck filled of Fulani indigenes were intercepted at a checkpoint in Ogoja local government area in Cross River state after an alarm was raised by Hausa villagers who sighted them while coming down from the truck to buy food on Sunday, May 6th. Youths from the host community where the Fulanis stopped; Ogoja - came in agreement and refused the Fulanis from settling there as they chased them away.
According to reports from an eyewitness, “the Fulanis came with two armed escorts – an Army Officer and a Policeman since they suspected the locals could resist them if eventually they got to know”. To their greatest surprise, the Hausas who have been living in Garki over the years where the first to raise alarm and call the attention of the public about the “new faces” who have come to join them''.
According to the Hausas, “The new Fulanis will make life difficult and hostile for them to continue living in Ogoja peacefully because it is possible they were driven from wherever they came from because they were killer Herdsmen”.
Youths chased the Fulanis from Garki, to Yahe in Yala. When the people of Yahe saw what was going on, they joined in the campaign and chased them farther through the borders of Yala and Ikom.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ms Irene Ugbo said that actually two trucks loaded with Fulani Herdsmen arrived the towns but were returned back with armed escorts.

Read the report from Zambian Accurates below...
A Mansa woman has divorced her husband after he sponsored her to school from Grade 9 to University. When asked by the court why she was divorcing her husband 'Vincent', Maria Tembo said she was no longer interested in marrying someone who was not educated, adding that her friends were laughing at her because the husband was illiterate.
The two got married in 1997 and have two children together. The man had to sell his house he built in 1995 in order to take back his wife to school. The wife started Grade 9 and went to university in the school of education. And after being employed, she decided to divorce her husband in favour of a man she met at university.
The court has since ordered the woman to pay her ex husband K10,000 for abandoning him after sacrificing for her for 10 years.
