Good pm everyone. Happy weekend to us all and I commend all great efforts in here. Been a member of the house for 10years now if not more. I have been following up in here. So put a friend through on how to go about applying which I think was done perfectly. Work documents{ID card, employment letter, payslip, work leave letter approval}, flight booking, hotel booking, bank statement with a closing balance of #2m plus, landed property contract terms with receipt, personal statement /cover letter, were all submitted. Proposed travel date is April 28 till May 9th. All the bookings done are still valid and active. The refusal letter came to the email just now. Can he still apply again by month end after his march salary comes in? What should he do in addition. Please, I need your comment, review, advice and whatever on the below UK visa refusal reason attached below.
Please help. @giselle237

Thanks.
What documents can be used to prove the source of one's opening balances? Any idea from anyone in the house?

So when does he want to state that he married his real wife given that u said sham marriage was in 2018.. this is supposedly when he was already married.. so in 2018, he technically married someone else meanwhile he was married.
I think ur give away is goin to be the timeline u will present for both marriages cus surely they have the info filled for the sham marriage in their system

Thank you for your reply. Divorce will be this year (2021) and remarry in 2022. Will this work out fine

To be Honest with you, Just swallow a chill pill.

People should not apply for tourist Visas for now because all the tourist attraction sites are closed

You wan go sleep for Uk or What are you going to be doing during your stay there?

Stop wasting money. There is nothing wrong with your application. One can not save again or what is your opening balance?

Only people going to visit family members but it is risky too.

All the best to everyone.

what is ur problem? Or did you not see where I told the poster to not waste money because there is no ongoing tourism... later on he told us where the ECO had written wrong figures for him and sorry to burst ur bubble, if he goes for reconsideration he is highly likely to get his visa based on this error.
Is this the time meant for him to apply for visa claiming tourism- NO! Big capital no, there is no tourism ongoing!!
By his later comments did the ECO judge him wrongly- seems so.

This is a technicality, there is no sympathy here, you snooze you lose . Hate it or love it, the list is endless..
It has worked for others, he should try. The last person here was 1 or 2 months ago, christabeliciou..

i dnt know. Hopefully the assessing officer doesn’t pick on the timeline of anything. The rule will still stand if your real wife is applying for visa and wants u as a dependent- you ppl will need to prove your relationship/marriage is genuine and subsisting

Based on this your comment bro, I would say it's not 100%. My mom got approved of the visa this month, I got two other friends I also put through whose visa came out last week and two weeks ago, they all used hotel reservation package. And bro, not all the tourist centres are closed atm, I am presently here in the UK n I can say this. Hotels /accommodations, Airbnb are all functioning. And more{tourist centres} would be opened by april 12. But you are also correct on the other part that UK is on a lock down{not total lock down though coz peeps are allowed to come in, boarder is opened) and ppu should try take a chill pill till the lock down is totally lifted up{hopefully in btw May n July}.

It is well.

Good evening gurus in the house, please I am asking this question for a relation of mine, he has been denied uk visa about 4 times (due to several reasons or the other) but he got a job (nhs) in uk and they are willing to sponsor him, please is his previous refusal going to have an impact on his chances of getting a tier 2 visa?

Hello, I am new to this thread and naira land so I would very much appreciate your assistance. My uncle wants to send me letter of invitation, he will be taking care of all the financial aspects. My question is what do I have to do on my own part to be able to get the visa. I just started working so I don't have upto 6 months salary to show. How much do I need in my account ( my uncle would sponsor everything I'm assuming I still need to have something).

Every applicant is required to provide their own account and you will also be assessed based on it.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Fisherlala: 3:04am On Mar 20, 2021
Hi guys, am new on this platform and I will like to tell you my story maybe someone might benefit from it.
I have been travelling to the UK on a tourist visa since 2009 but something very sad happened to me in 2012, I was stopped by an immigration officer at Muritala airport on my way to Heathrow at Arik stand, the lady checked my hotel reservations and noticed something absurd that was when I knew that the hotel my agent booked for me was ridiculously high 4,800£ for a 10 day trip the lady got curious and ask what do I work as and how much was I travelling with, I had just 2,300€ on me that day, I tried talking my way through by telling her I was going to spend just 2 days in that hotel and change to a cheaper one but she sent me back to the embassy, my visa was eventually revoked.
I stopped travelling since then as I was so scared that the revoked UK stamp on my passport will count negatively on any application I make, the passport expired and I began a new journey in 2014 by then I have been married to an Irish citizen and I have an Irish child so my attention was in Ireland to be with my family , I applied for Irish visa but it was sadly declined in 2014 probably because of my previous UK denial as both countries share immigration data under the common travel area or maybe I should have applied for family reunification visa but am not sure it the result will be different. Anyways I started researching for the best and legal means to join my family till I come across EU free movement directive 2004/38/EC I was able to secure plenty schengen visa and visa to other EU states using this directive and I eventually moved to Ireland making use of this directive as well.
To the glory of God I now reside in Ireland and a proud Irish citizen.
Thanks.

if previous reasons had nothing to do with fraud or deception.. he shud be fine.. they will only run extra checks on him but I believe he shud get the visa

No. The reasons are things like, unexplained credits, compared to what was claimed as salary etc etc

Good morning house. Please I have a friend who is a pastor here in Nigeria and just got a job in the UK as a minister of religion. He hope to get his certificate of sponsorship soon. Please what are the likely visa interview questions they will ask him. Please note : He has, been to the UK before as a Missionary on Tier 2 and was refused charity worker visa after he returned from the UK. Thank you.

If he has not been banned by the immigration getting a job with the NHS is a significant change in circumstance and he should be fine.

Good morning gurus, please been trying to book an airline ticket for my mum and sis to the uk but I am so confused about the whole transit visa thingy due to Brexit. Has anyone travelled with airfrance, klm or Turkish airlines to the uk recently without any issues Or do they need the transit visas. BA is ridiculously expensive due to the timeframe. Anyone please??

Going to UK via all these airlines has nothing to do with brexit and you won’t need a transit visa of the countries you will be stopping over at, for instance if you are going to UK via Turkish airline you will have a stop over in Istanbul since you are not planning to enter Istanbul you will go to the connecting flight section and get your flight to the UK.

The rules have been changed... at least for Air france, KLM
they put up a circular since February that a transit visa is now required.. pls check the update information with the airlines!

Transiting through most EU countries will require a transit visa, I used Turkish airlines specifically in my illustrations because Turkey is not part of the European Union so this requirement will likely not be applicable to travellers travelling to the uk via Turkish airline.they will give your mum 2 boarding pass one will get her to Istanbul and she should proceed straight to her boarding gate to connect with her UK flight.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kaystace: 1:37am On Mar 21, 2021
Thank you so much guys! thought as much because before Brexit you could travel without the transit visa on klm and airfrance but now I guess the transit visa is needed for EU countries, will definately look into Turkish airline as it might be the best option ... thanks guys @giselle237 @fisherlala

Good Morning to you all... Justwise, Giselle, Alert and all gurus here ... I hail you all for the good work you guys are doing here.. Kudo to you.

I was a silent unregistered user not until this morning that I needed to make an enquiry... Funny enough , I followed the instructions on here as at when I applied for my UK Visa in 2019 and Visa was granted. Thanks once again.

My enquiry goes thus: I got my UK Visa in April 2019 and travelled in May for 10 days. Proir embarking on my second trip in September, I applied for a visiting Visa to visit my uncle in Trinidad and Tobago and Visa was also granted so I quickly booked a ticket from Nigeria - London- Trinidad. On getting to Trinidad I applied for a ministers permit and it was granted but during the process of applying for permit my return ticket expired and I had the plan to fly through other means. I am still gainfully employed with the company in Nigeria and was working remotely from Trinidad and my monthly salary drops every month into my First bank account .

Unfortunately, Covid 19 lockdown started here in February 2020 and till today there's still flight restrictions, Infact you cannot travel unless the government approves it.

To cut the story short, I wish to visit Nigeria in May 2021.

1. Can I apply for a UK Transit Visa or renew my Visa here in Trinidad so as to ease my stress of connecting flights ? If yes.

2. Can I use my first bank account where my salary drops for the Visa application here in trinidad? or I can just push some money into my Trinidad account here for the application.

3. Can I apply for 2 years Visa from here.

Hoping to hear from you ... Thanks .

If you only want to travel throught the UK to Nigeria then you can apply for a Direct Airside Transit Visa. The visa allows you to board a flight in the UK. I used BA when I was coming to Nigeria from Brazil and that's what I used to board at Heathrow.

I paid for my return BA flight ticket from Brazil to Nigeria then use the flight information to apply for my transit Visa and it was issued. The visa is also valid for 6 months
