Why would Nigerian scam another Nigerian is something I don't even understand.

People are just wicked. There is one that even used an innocent POS agent account, claiming someone wants to send him money after scamming the first one and putting the other at risk. angry

Here is another picture of the scammer. Gotten after some private investigations. His name is ONYEACHO CHIBUIKE EMEKA.

He is based in Lagos state.

Please anyone with information on how I can get this guy should kindly inform me through this WhatsApp number

Op, post it in EFCC twitter page, Or go and complain to NIG Police, I'm posting this slowpoke's info on every platform!

0708 six zero six 00 nine five

Op check his full name on fb or WhatsApp or any social media, use his friends and family as bait to get to him,
Use his phone number and go to the police to track his phone no and address
Go to the bank with police and court injunction, contact the bank manager and explain everything to them, ask them to release the boys bvn and info bearing his NEPA bills, home address, parent maiden name and all info he used in registering with the bank and ask the bank to track where the money was last transfered to and which ATM he withdrew the money is a long process BT is worth every penny, I would love to see this bastard with EFCC black board serving 10yrs imprisonment with hard labor and no option of parole, bastards like this don't deserve to live, I wish he's shot dead or die while crossing the road by dangote trailer

Greetings Nlanders.

Please I understand this might not be the proper channel to do this, but I have written petitions to the police, I have used a court order to get back some salvaged funds, but it's no way near what was stolen. So I hope that I might get lucky and someone here can help me with tips on how we can nab this local fraudster. And even if I don't get him in the end, I hope to have created awareness, so people who do my kind of business don't get scammed using this format.

Here is my story.

I buy and sell digital assets, (Crypto) gadgets, etc. So on the 1st of December 2020, this young man texted that he has some beeteecee for sale.

One of my workers attended to him and paid him thereafter. Not knowing that this scammer only sent falsified screenshots utilizing the transparency of the Blockchain network.

Pictures of the scammer below:
This particular picture was taken at the hotel he lodged during the period he orchestrated this scam.

These are the Scammers Phone Numbers:

Telephone: 08132549953

WhatsApp: 09071905772

Please guys tag anyone who can help bring awareness to this thread.

Thank you.

The only reason I didn't bother involving the Efcc is because it involves cryptocurrency and they will get every information before proceeding with investigation. Once they realize it's a Bitcoin traders issue, they will become disinterested. Sad, but true.

In any case, I appreciate every means being explored now.

Thank you once again.

Kindly leave out the details of transaction (crypto) while reposting on Twitter please. Due to the sentiments and stereotype it attracts at the moment as a consequence of CBN and FG's stance.

Leave out the transaction and then say what?

I don't agree with this, OP. Tell your story exactly the way it is. People need to know the good and the bad, and decide for themselves.

You could have made your research before venturing into that business and controlling millions.

Do you have a website where customers register?

They register their bank details there and you ONLY pay to the bank account registered there which must tally with the name used in registering.

That's how it's done.

That's not the problem boss. Adequate KYC is usually carried out before we deal with a new customer. I don't think any trader pays to a third party account. That's like a basic rule in trading and I'm not a rookie in the business.

We have virtually every information about him aside from his current location.

When someone is on the run, it isn't that easy to get them. Even the Efcc puts up pictures of WANTED people. That's because they have looked for them without success.

Thanks for your concern and input boss. I appreciate.

I'm making a plea to all Lagosians, look at his picture closely. If seen anywhere, kindly make a post here and tag me, or contact me on whatsApp.

Thanks to everyone.

This isn't entirely a crypto problem boss. Payments were made to his bank account. So the money passed through a government regulated and monitored platform.

The problem is the law enforcements not seeing this as a priority because it involves cryptocurrency. And the popo here do not always want to involve themselves in anything crypto related.

I was only able to get the police trailing him initially because i didn't disclose the details of the business. I just told them 'business.'

Thanks for your input.

Even before the CBN reminded everyone of their stance on crypto months ago, the law enforcement in Nigeria do not investigate crypto related scams.

Telling the police it's crypto might even get the complainant in trouble in today's Nigeria.

If you read my previous posts, you would have come across where I said that due process has been followed to the latter.

I have had my lawyer write petitions to law enforcement.

I have recovered some salvaged funds (585,000) by means of a court order.

I only brought this here for two reasons:

I might be lucky and someone gives me a lead on where to get him;

To create awareness and help people avoid such scams in the future.

Thank you.

Please guys there's no point sending his pictures or whatever to the Efcc, whatever information you have, kindly share with me.

I have written petitions to no avail. Those people could take years to finish their investigations and this guy must have been broke by then. cheesy

I need to get him while he still has my money or at least part of it available. That's my priority. So I hope that happens soon as practicable.

Thank you.

Some transactions can actually go through without that info. You wouldn’t even be asked billing address.

Better still, Keep your card and EVERY information safe

I use BINANCE mostly, not the regular Blockchain wallet. Please is there any tool that can help generate new wallets on BINANCE?

I'm not sure of Binance, I'm a bit skeptical about online exchanges so I hold all my coins offline. I use Electrum Wallet on pc and Ledger Hardware wallet. Coinomi and Mycelium on Android should have that feature.
