No system is 100% secure. Even bank accounts can be compromised. If you allow your email to be hacked then alot of damages can be done with most systems.
piggyvest is the best thing to happen in our present day society..... The much talked about treasury bills is no where near it in times of rates it offers(10%p.a). Its the best thing to ever happen out there

Piggyvest is very much in operation. I have been using them and haven't experienced any sign of hiccups in their operation. #Smooth

They have a very responsive verified Twitter handle.

Though, I don't seem to understand the fear mostly people from this thread have for fintechs (even I-invest then) but I'll advice you to be very careful with your details cos it's an app and hackers can empty your account from the comfort of their bedroom.
very good -investment brokerage firm I must confess with seemingly good (top notch) customer service

Data doesn't have to always align with common sense.

Is it common sense that there was huge unemployment in the U.S, Feds were printing money non stop, hundred of thousands were dying, yet the $VOO hit an all time high same year?

I'm sure common sense would have predicted that U.S stocks should suffer the most hit last year.

The US stock market has historically been ahead of the economy at least by 6 months. Speculators/investors price in future occurrence.
That's why the market was doing well when there was massive unemployment.

The same reason you are currently seeing sell off in the market (despite the stimulus) because the economy is improving, interest rates are rising on strong dollar. It is better for institutional investors to loan money at a guaranteed rate than invest in risky asset like equities.

It is all common sense, connect the dots haba. undecided

They actually give 8% per annum and you can withdraw all or part of your funds, anytime you want. If you want more ROI, you need to use their safelock feature.

There's MFA for transfers and they will not even sanction transfers to another account that doesn't bear your name

If you want to withdraw to your account, apart from your regular password, you'll have to provide security questions

The account number and name you want to withdraw to must also match the name on your profile and card

Talking about Piggyvest and hackers emptying accounts

What about Crowdyvest?

Their rates are slightly higher but haven’t used them.

Any one with experience regarding their operations.

Why won't it appear as common sense after it has happened. Something that some so called investors were even predicting a second crash around March. Even my own favourite YouTuber was preaching sell sell. I know of 2 popular Twitter guys that deactivated their accounts because none of what they predicted happened.

How is it common sense when prediction didn't match reality?

Someone had her account emptied on Cowryrise before, since that incident they have updated their security, you can now only withdraw to an account that matches your BVN

Cowrywise ≠ Crowdyvest
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Tobex4realTobex234(m): 11:01pm On Mar 26, 2021
But i will typically pick Cowrywise over Crowdyvest.
Cowrywise is solid, I've used them because of these 3 reasons:

- It is backed by YCombinator (one of the top venture capitals in the world). Same YC funded Paystack, which has now done over 1000% at exit after selling to Stripe

- The co-founder Razaq (CFA) has a first class in Economics and has worked at Meristem, Shell e.t.c

- They have a trustee partnership with Meristem Trustees which is regulated by SEC.

So forget all the noise here from people that are not ready for digitization of the entire banking, financial and investment sector.

Piggyvest or Cowrywise, which should I opt for?

Piggyvest is not very secure, you account can be emptied in minutes, becuase they allow transfers to other piggyvest user, a hacker can create a fake piggyvest account, hack a piggyvest user email and transfer the funds to the fake piggyvest account, then withdraw to bank

Which bank account will he withdraw to?
You forget that the account to be withdrawn to must also be linked with BVN, NIN and others.

They'd even create another back up with sterling bank. I like their innovations and their prompt response in providing the best customer experience among fintechs.

Yes, they are fintech including kuda bank. Also, they do have office but the idea of most fintechs is that you get everything done without having to visit their office. We are talking technology.

All man with their own fears and DD. Lots of people here fear bitcoin and fintechs but with bitcoin plus fintechs, I have made about 1,200% pure profit in one year. 300M plus in just one f*cking year! By pure profit, I mean the funds I have cashed out not the ones I still have in bitcoin cos I still have lots of bitcoin.

If you are very concerned about funds safety, can you trust them with 2% of your capital first. At least something to test the waters.

If you or your loved one needs specialist healthcare, will you take them to a doctor with no or very little experience (even if he made a first class from the best university in the world) or will you take them to a very experienced specialist with decades of experience in the particular field? Most rational people will go with the latter.

So how will one work hard for his/her money and give it to some guys that have never been involved in successfully managing retail funds to invest for them just because these guys have an app that makes investing easier? undecided

If you look at the backgrounds of some of these so called fintech fund managers, you will understand where I am coming from lipsrsealed

Their target is the young people for a reason. Most young people are not financially literate and have no clue about how to carry out DD on these guys.
