If you graduate from a university and you come out looking for someone to employ you, then you are one of the problems of this country. With the knowledge and enlightenment you've gained from school, you should be the one employing and empowering people.
There are several businesses one can start building now which requires little capital but with a potential for massive returns in the long run.
nobody wants to be an employee. When you talk about self employment, it is not with 20000 or 50000.

People have ideas too but no resources to execute them.

Osheeyy, baddest! Awon motivational speakers!
Please make sure you've gotten like 5 companies attached to your name and have about a thousand employees before making someone else look this bad for voicing his thoughts.
It's the likes of you that pushed people into depression, making them feel like they haven't achieved anything yet in life.

One advice! Don't ever use USA and Nigeria in the same sentence again! It's an insult to that great country.

Can you write articles, blog posts or other write ups? Even if you can't, you can always learn and develop yourself. Send me a dm and I will add you to a freelance writing group where you can make up to a 100k monthly. You can start writing with the WPS app on your phone.

Alright. Thanks alot.

What you need as a graduate is enabling environment for business.
I can argue with you that this is well provided in Nigeria.

so what are you saying

it's not really about the class of degree. Keep your hopes high. You can get a laptop and learn coding or programing. You can also take 2 Management course to boost you CV and experience. That's what I am planning to do too

While in school all what they teach you is book they will tell read, read and read. Note, these books you're to read are not current books but one old book like that.
Ok, now the idea of any Nigerian student is to graduate and get a good job and good life, that is what they made us to understand and not the other way.
If you're a student here you should invest in yourself, be business wise, read books pertaining business ideas and be currently current.
Thank God we now know the secret, secret they won't tell while in school.

one thing with you is that you're comparing abroad with Nigeria. But then, there are contrasting in different department

1... Their system of education teaches you to create jobs and think out of the box. Ours teaches us to look for job and ensure we pass with first class(not thinking out of the box).. We only realize that we need to create job after we've graduated. How then do you want people who have been taught on "how to look for jobs" for over 15years of their lives now be the creator? Why do you think the sudden rise of "school na scam" is rampant?

2... Their environment and teaching schedule aids one to start a business opportunity (one can work while still schooling, without it affecting their education). While here, it's not easy. Not only is lectures running from 8-5 mostly but you can't easily hutsle and marry your book together(not saying it's not done but people who are successful in grades doing such are very few). So it'll be difficult raising money to start a business after school in Nigeria compared to abroad where money can be raised from your part time work

3... The environment factor again. One thing killing business is electricity. You can't compare Nigeria electricity to that of most advanced countries where jobs are created

Some times, you "motivational speakers" don't look at context before talking. It's the duty of a country to provide enabling environment for a business to thrive for its citizens. Just because few people made it doesn't mean that it's not the job of the country to make business to thrive for its citizens.

You de mind the guy? I can boldly beat my chest, that the said guys making everyone look like a lazy person,is still stuck with a 7–5 job!.
When 90–95% of people in a country are struggling despite efforts made, then the problem is no longer with the citizens, but with such a country (NIGERIA).
It is even our hustling mentality that has kept us going this far! IF NOT!!!

Can't remember but it was almost one month counting from the time I actually started searching cause I'd earlier gone on vacation to cool off after my final exams. Some of my classmates were picked by on-campus recruiters that arrived after I had already traveled. I felt bad but today, I'm happy things went that way. Years later, I was back in search of talents.

please tell me that this don't happen in the same Nigeria that we know
