My present landlord wear a smile on his face 24/7 like Gbenga Daniel-former governor of ogun state but he's damn heartless. My former landlady has a face that's permanently frowned but she's a good woman.
My point? Don't b narcissistic

You know your problem? Believing that you are cute and you should be every man spec. But unfortunately that is what will cause you so much pain sooner or later because there is no scarcity or beautiful women.. bring down your ego and let men talk to you and stop your yeye frowning.. Hope you have a good paying job sha

This is power-play convo you are saying, I am talking about genuine interaction towards someone squeezing face, it has nothing to do with money.

Op is talking about male toasters and you are here talking about mere conversation.

She said she squeezes face whenever a guy tries to talk to her. Her concern is not having conversation with daily people, but being able to welcome her male admirers that make move towards her.

and you said any guy that wants to talk to her will do that no matter how she squeezes her face, and I am telling you that only playboys and young guys still counting scores of girls they have bed will persist forcing a frowning girl to talk to them because to him, its fun, its how girls do before he gets them so he's used to their usual stubbornness.....a serious-minded well to do man who has much to offer to the lady will back out asap! I speak from experience.....I don't talk theory.

You don't understand.

I'm a very friendly person. Just that in public when I see guys, my countenance change.

It's psychological. Maybe you were abused when younger by a male or someone close to you was abused by then. This makes you detest them and it shows on your face.

Look for the root cause and your problem is solved.

How Do I Overcome This As A Lady?

I'm a newbie here but, I'll like to drop this issue as it is getting me quite depressed lately.

I'm quite cute (average maybe) and I'm quite bashful as well. Whenever I go for an event, I developed this habit of frowning or squeezing my face to the dislike of the audience. On several occasions, I've seen guys pull over their car while trying to call my attention and I just snub or ignore them.

Even at a wedding party, most of the grooms men would want to approach me but, will back down really scared cause of my serious look.

I really don't know what to do as this is taking a toll on me.

Is there any possible way wherein I can practice to get my smiley face back or perhaps overcome this issue??

Please help.

Here lies the root. Squeezing and 'franking' your face is your way of hiding your bashfulness.

You'll outgrow it. I did wink

For now, just learn to relax your face and not force a smile. We don't want you smiling on the road like a lunatic, do we?

Lol. My boss has given me a query for laughing always, even when he is being serious. I can’t help it. He has left me to my demons. grin

I read all the comments and only two people came close to answering your question.

The problem is within you. You think too highly of yourself and you believe frowning is a defense mechanism to ward off toasters. You feel like changing but it's hard because your mind has been conditioned to think this way. The truth is only people with low self esteem resort to such tactics.

Don't put yourself on a pedestal as there are many of you out there. Be yourself and think more of others and less of yourself. With time you'll begin to smile

Hope you didn't suffer abuse from guys growing up?... Myself did from maids...so growing up I didn't want to have dealings with girls, coupled with the demon possess syndrome they exhibited in boarding school...every night one must be delivered.

But I like you was concerned... I turned to God, I started loving them...but when I remember say I for be virgin without my maids exposure...e dey pain me.

Just forgive the gender that abused you and move on.

It's holding a lot of your sisters.

The spirit makes them frown at male toasters, some even abuse male toasters, so turn deaf and dumb.

But once a playboy, a time waster comes to them, the spirit will free them and push them to accept him fast.

Such ladies usually fvck within their environment ; course mates, yard neighbor, church member, family friend, etc.

The spirit will never allow them to accept a quality man
Hahahaha.... Seriously, I'm laughing so hard cheesy

Finally, You're saying the truth

You are probably a very shy person. You just choose frowning to mask it.
