And for your information I'm financially independent and my wife and my son lives in Detroit Michigan, Nigeria has never done anything positive to so many youngsters out there
Only poor and struggling people in Nigeria, travel as illegal immigrants...nothing fancy about doing menial jobs etc...richest Nigerians live in Nigeria.

Has anyone asked why all these things are happening? The answer is very simple...you belong to ONE NIGERIA. This one Nigeria will kill all of you.

My comment based on part of this article....

Re: Suzan said if she would be able to get a job in Nigeria where she would be able to earn N500,000 a month, she would definitely return home.

Susan is not ready to return to Nigeria. There are millions of Nigerians working for less than 10 percent of that stated amount by her.

Re: There is also the case of one Peter who travelled to the United Kingdom. At a point that things were getting difficult for him, he approached his friend who gave him his driver’s licence which he used to apply for a job in a supermarket.

Though very wrong, but still, we need to acknowledge that Peter's friend has a good heart. Good people with good heart has no filter.

I am not sure you read the story or perhaps you did not understand it ma. These are people doing well in Nigeria yet travelled overseas and decided to cheat the system of their host country.
Not everyone wants to go Yankee ma. Not even by this crooked manner . All the preliminary signs are always there. A crocodile in Nigeria can't become a Tiger in UK/US. That Henry guy must have been breaking the laws but getting away with it in Nigeria, he just carried such obnoxious behaviour overseas and unfortunately for him, he now can't get away with it anymore.

If he is not a law breaker, he should have left UK and returned home rather than living the rest of his life as a fugitive.
When people create problems for themselves they should be honest to admit it instead of blaming others or their native country.

Some people are so good on their jobs here in Lagos that they are routinely sent overseas to work and they return home even before their visa expires.I sometimes cringe when I see some Nigerians hustling and getting paid far less for what they can earn here at home but too ashamed to come back home. It is never too late to come back home and rebuild especially when you see your life goals flashing away before you eyes. Why on earth will I want to spend years overseas as a menial job worker?
You have said the truth and nothing but the truth. Someone told me that on his first ever trip outside Nigeria, he saw a security guard in front of a shop in London. On a closer look he discovered that the man was a lecturer at one of Nigeria's top universities before relocating to UK for "greener pastures", only to end up as maiguard. Chai, God forbid!

... shocked what do we call this? Progress or...
From being a lecturer in your home country to being a maiguard in another man's country, just because you want to "japa" by all means. God have mercy

It really does not matter sir. It's just a matter of time, you will realise that you will get from Nigeria what you wish for Nigeria. You will get from Detroit same thing you wish for Detroit. I know someone who talks down on Nigeria like you and feels he has spent long enough overseas to insulate him from the curses he rains on his fatherland. When covid-19 swept people away in the UK, he was one of those who didn't make it back enough and the rest is history. He is 6 feet down below somewhere overseas not even his graveyard was seen by his relative here in Nigeria.
When he needed to run down to Nigeria, by providence, our airspace was shut and he was shut out. He got exactly the bad stuff he gives to the land and even both his living and dead did not make it back to Nigeria.
If you can't bless the Land, don't curse it because it will haunt you someday.
Money and character are two different things. If you don't have a proper upbringing, sadly, you can't buy it. Bibire o se fowora

What are you yawning about?

Remember we all have family in Nigeria so no one is cursing his fatherland.
How do you know is covid that kill your friend in uk. Dan Foster died in naija instead of USA., was he cursing his country America ni?

Bros stop twisting stuffs people going abroad is a matter of choice, risk and privilege and to survive making a better life for themselves and family, that doesn't mean they are cursing their country of birth.

The problem in my country Nigeria is tribe and religion. If we eliminate those two then Nigeria will be a better place.

Your mate in.uk could have died anywhere. We only know our place of birth but not place or time of death.
#peace bro

Are you alright? Be realistic the land is curse because your leaders are cursed. Is like having devil satan as head of the family do you honestly think the family is going ti be ok

The person you are talking to is one of those "patriots" suffering from deep delusions and hallucinations about Nigeria.

They will be "patriotic" as long as the current administration is in power and they benefit from the broken system. When people try to leave the broken system they try to deceive them into coming back.

Don't be fooled, that thing doesn't wish the country well, only himself. Everyone else can suffer as long as he is enjoying.

There is no known fact to this story so i won't believe it. One thing in uk is no room for laziness you pay for everything. I know a a guy here Nigerian guy he was a lecturer in Nigeria came here for his Phd program, now he run adult educational program for Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME).

If your mindset and mentality is lazy in naija omo even in uk you are going to struggle.

Also your degree in naija isnt recognised here you've to go through uk courses, speak their english too. They value experience more there than your degree.

That security guard has earned more in one year than many of the Nigerian lecturers still striking over ASUU demands and non payment of salaries.

All while having access to electricity, public works, health care and security.

Only a deluded individual will struggle to understand why Nigerians are leaving in the thousands.
